I Got All My Sisters With Me [Inactive]

Character(s): Urd, Neirenn, Yorda, maybe Genie
Content: Neirenn joins Urd's growing household. Free Yorda-sitter!
Setting: Urd's house in zone M6.
Time: Week 22
Warnings: None.

Yorda was a handful under any circumstances. She asked too many questions and her purity and innocence got her into dangerous situations more often than not. It wasn't really her fault, of course -- after being locked away for most of her life, she couldn't help being who she was. But when the unstable and corrupt of Paixao started pouring in at the current rate, Urd knew she needed help.

Neirenn had already shown that she cared for Yorda, had proven her intelligence and protectiveness over various interactions on the network. Urd trusted the girl to do right by Yorda. It only made sense to bring in such an ally. And if having another person in the house distracted Urd from missing her sisters, well, that was okay too.

Now she sat on the stoop of her magically summoned house with Yorda, waiting for Neirenn. To an outsider, it might have appeared that the luminescent girl was the older of the two, as Urd had still not found a way to return to her original, full-figured form. Her child-like appearance made the fact that she was drinking from a bottle of sake a little shocking.

In truth, Neirenn had been finding herself a little lonely as of late... Lei'ella had gone home, and that was probably a good thing. And it wasn't as though Neirenn constantly needed another person around to be happy. Her father was a busy man, after all, and with her mother... well she was used to having the house to herself every now and again. Or the school library, depending. But her dad had still been there.

She did want to look after Yorda. The girl had told Neirenn about how she'd lived her life locked in a castle, and that was certainly no way to learn what people should and should not be avoided. But well, Neirenn had been grateful for Urd's offer for her own sake as well. And being able to learn more about the magic they used was definitely a plus.

It occurred to her that she had never actually met the woman off of the network--so Neirenn really couldn't stop herself from staring when she saw the little girl with the bottle that smelled quite definitely of alcohol. "Ah--hello," she said, readjusting her satchel (it was mainly books in there). Urd had said something about returning to her 'original form.' "You're... Urd?"

The glowing girl had been sitting next to Urd, curiously watching her drink. She didn't know just what exactly was in the bottle to make Urd so fond of it; Yorda only knew of tea and water - although recently, milk and juice had been added to her list of beverages. She knew it was something Urd wouldn't let her drink, either; the older woman was quite picky about what Yorda was and wasn't allowed to have, and didn't always like explaining herself, especially now that she had gotten smaller. The princess still didn't quite know why that had happened, but she didn't want to ask any questions while Urd was drinking.

Yorda was so absorbed in watching Urd that she hadn't even noticed Neirenn approaching, and jumped slightly when the other girl spoke. Nevertheless, she smiled brightly at Neirenn, happy to see her again.

“Cuter than you imagined her, hu?” Genie replied, appearing from behind the front door. As much as he knew Urd hated her current form he could not help but find it absolutely adorable. He had tried to keep it secret, so not to anger Urd further, but there had been times restraining himself from pinching her cheeks proved almost impossible. “It’s only temporary.” He explained to Neirenn, sure to exclude ‘sadly’ from his sentence. “But she’s the same Urd regardless. Don’t let her appearance deceive you.”

“Why don’t you come inside?” He offered and opened the door fully. “Urd mentioned we’d be having a guest so I baked cookies. Hope you like shortbread! They’re fresh from the oven too.” The genie glanced over at Yorda and Urd to encourage them to follow. In the process he noticed the bottle of sake in Urd’s hands and gasped. Loudly. “You can’t drink that out here!” Genie exclaimed and reached to take the bottle away from her. “You’re sending out the wrong message! What if someone sees you? What would the neighbours think?”

Neirenn couldn't help but stare at the large blue man that stepped out of the house. She'd never seen anything like him before. She recognized the distinctive voice as one she'd heard over the network, but that hadn't matched this appearance at all. But Urd's instincts were right--any intimidation she might've felt was subsumed by her fascination. Especially when he mentioned baking shortbread a second later.

She couldn't help but laugh a little when he tried grabbing the spirits and Urd's indignant reaction. "Somehow, I don't think neighbors who complain to you two are entirely sensible," she said. Between a goddess and a Genie, Neirenn doubted it was a good idea to upset them.

Well, she didn't have a reason to hang around out here. Neirenn followed the two into the house, smiling at Yorda. "So how are you doing these days?" she asked the girl.

Yorda smiled up at Genie. Although she didn't know the strange blue creature very well just yet, she knew that Urd liked him, and his cheerful, friendly demeanor meant it was all too easy to make Yorda like him, too. She stood up, preparing to go inside (and knowing better than to attempt to interfere with whatever Urd was drinking), and glanced at Neirenn.

"I am well," she replied, following the other girl into the house. "I have been staying inside with Urd." No doubt Yorda would have gone out more often, but Urd seemed to want her nearby, at least for now.

Genie buttoned up at the mention of his slumber parties. He never meant for his music to get out of hand, or really anything he did. But if there was anything you could depend on him for, it was that he always managed to get carried away. Although, it was incredibly tempting to blame the all toxins from the nail polish they had used for his actions. That, of course, being him singing Lady Gaga at the top of his lungs at a ridiculous hour of the night. The nail polish and all the glitter… Goodness, the glitter. He smiled sheepishly at Urd before turning back to the others.

He held the door open for them to enter the house, thoughts wandering to whether or not he should send their neighbours a fruit basket in apology for his actions. Fruitcakes were not as appreciated as they used to be, at least from what he had learned from Hades when he had attempted to gift the god one.
