The Ninja Returns.
Character(s): Ziva David, Open
Content: Ziva arrives back in Paixao.
Setting: Near Joutenheim
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: Ziva. Spoilers for the season finale of NCIS.
It seemed weird to be back in this city, even if her original stay was cut short by returning to her prison in Somalia. She had gone home, spent a year there, became an American citizen and was now a full NCIS agent. And now, she was back here, with no reasons running through her head as to why.
Putting the journal in her pocket, she calmly walked a bit more into the city, checking to see if all of her weapons were still in place. This time, she was fully equipped, and was more comfortable with the situation, if she was still unnerved about showing up in the city again.
Time to see what this place has in store for me, again.

This place, though, was different. The UMN didn't exist here, nor its incredible stores of information. There were information sources, true, and he had looked through those; was, in fact, in the process of doing so, even as he wandered. The journal hadn't originally had the port he'd plugged his connection gear into, but then, he'd been alive for several millennia, the most recent years of which he'd been a sometimes-repairman for a starship. Modifying a simple piece of tech like the journal was easy work, and the connection gear's powerful processors were hard at work assembling all the information the gear's AI could find. He'd look over the data later; for now, both were clipped to his belt, a cable running from one to the other.
He'd been wandering for a little over three days, now, and he'd covered roughly a third of the city in that time. Already he'd memorized the map, figured out the train schedules, and made use of a shop whose owner had sworn almost as creatively as Captain Mathews. Seemed to think making a simple bicycle was beneath him...
At any rate, at the moment, he was standing on a street corner, observing the gate. He'd already checked out Muspelheim and Alfheim, and he'd come in through Vanaheim; this was the last one. He had hoped to gain some insight by observing the arrival of an outsider. He'd have to go over what he'd observed later. The person who had just arrived looked... well, looked like a very capable individual. She had an assortment of weapons and tools, the look of someone who was quite familiar with all of them, and the feel of someone who was not entirely shocked to find herself in the city. A returning visitor, maybe? If so, she was probably his single best lead on the process of arrival and departure...

Looking around, she noticed more of the same. The city hadn't changed from her first visit, and the citizens mulled around, still looking alike, and grouping together, giving her strange looks and whispering to each other. She was getting some attention, probably brought by her dark hair and dark eyes, something that seemed abnormal for these people.
She walked through an intersection, where the white haired man stood. She stopped there for a moment, before speaking.
"Am I correct in assuming that you are not from here also?"

chaos was a young-looking man, a little over five and a half feet tall; his skin was olive brown, his eyes sea blue, and his clothing rather more advanced-looking than anything native to the city proper. He didn't seem to be carrying any kind of weapon, but those educated in the arts of combat might guess from looking at him that he didn't need one.
He smiled a somewhat sad smile, which was more or less his default expression. This close, he couldn't help but pick up on Ziva's subconscious. It was a surprisingly quiet place, as well trained as the rest of her, but there were still hints at the person she was on the few occasions when she could drop the professional aspect and just... be.

She sighed. This was going to be an interesting 'vacation'.

Instead of the smile that wanted to show itself, chaos mirrored her sigh. "I don't suppose you remember anything about how you left last time?" he asked, hoping for clues to the process of arrival and departure.
