Character(s): Iroh, Yzma
Content: TWO ELDERLY PEOPLE IN THE SAME ROOM. HOLY CRAP.
Setting: The Glass Bonsai [G5]
Time: Later morning, Week 21
Warnings: Things could get...*wears sunglasses* old. [yeaaaaaaaaaaah!]
Ohh, this looks promising, Iroh thought to himself. If there was only a way I could modify these so they could...ah ha!
A snap of the fingers, and Iroh was already looking to modify an old pair of spoons before purchasing them from the rightful owners. Before long, he looked up and around to see if anyone was watching. He drew small flames and tapped the spoons with his finger tips, riddling the bowled ends with holes. There! he continued. Now I can use this to...
He heard someone nearby, but wasn't sure who...

A Chemistry Set caught her eye, she tried reaching for it, but she was a bit too short for the shelf. Grumbling to herself, she put down her basket to try and reach for it again. Jumping up to grab the box, Yzma stumbled and lost her balance, clinging to the chemistry set to make sure it didn’t break. She bumped into Iroh accidentally. Thankfully the box was still safe in her clutches.
“Ack, stupid kids these days. Places things too high,” Yzma glanced up and saw the elderly man. “Ah, my apologies, I didn’t see you there,” she spoke, holding the box with her arm and straightening out her dress with her other hand.

“What were you looking at there?” Yzma asked, her eyebrow lifted, wondering if a spoon like that had any use for something.

Iroh held up his makeshift infusing spoon and explained its new-found unique qualities, "This is helpful for taking something which must be immersed and fused with water but not floating freely. The holes allow water to permeate through back and forth like the ebb and flow of the tides, and the contents are still intact within the spoon." He held it in the light so he could see tiny beams coming through the various punctures. "It is a perfect device for my tea shop. Brewing so many pots and so many blends can be a bit much. But with this, I can make various teas by the cup and everyone gets their right blend!" He chuckled a little at his own brilliance with the matter.

“I understand with brewing it may vary on the boiling point, depending on the type of tea you’re making,” Yzma pondered looking at the spoon, “But I can see how this can be easier on yourself. You wouldn’t have to waste too many pots.” She scratched her chin and gave a small smirk. An acquaintance should come in order then, “My name is Yzma,” she placed the box between her arm and held out her hand, “What’s yours?”

"Iroh, m'am. A pleasure to meet you," he said while shaking her hand gently.

Deciding to put the chemistry box set to the side for a bit, Yzma gestured in question, “So I assume you will have different types of selections of tea at your shop? I’m more into having black tea to keep myself awake when working on long projects of mine.” She said, now with a slight more interest in Iroh’s business.

He was also quick to break himself from distraction and answer Yzma's questions while subtly leading his answers back to his new fascination.
"Black teas are certainly fantastic if the midnight oil must be burned rather than our own fuel. Of course, the future promises many things, including more powerful tea. I wonder if there is something else I can invent, or at least find, to make that possible," he pondered out loud, hoping for Yzma to take the honest bait.

Yzma then gestured, her hand waving absently, “Ah, but all discoveries does come with time and effort. Which is why I have worked many many years trying to create new things and experiments. Most of them have been pretty helpful in the past.” Although it was quite true that most of her potions have helped her a lot. One of them did help her become Empress after all, even if it was the wrong potion.

The old diva gave her best innocent smile and chuckled, “I’m sure you could understand, I like to indulge in different fancies. I’m sure you have explored more into your area of expertise before.” She gestured to the instrument used for tea.
