Stand in the Place Where You Live [Active/Open]
Character(s): Lottie, open
Content: Miss LaBouff is hoping to hire some people to help her move into her new home.
Setting: Promenade Terrace
Time: Afternoon, Week 21
Warnings: None
Lottie was accustomed to the finer things in life. It wasn't so much that she demanded them (...okay, maybe she did) but that they were so often just...there. She was simply born into a lifestyle of riches that she was starting to realize she took for granted. Case in point: the house she now stood in front of.
It was a nice house. In fact, better than a lot of people might have been able to afford in their own worlds. In Lottie's eyes, however, something was...lacking. There wasn't an intricate iron fence or a winding driveway or even some stately columns! Goodness, there was only one story! But as spoiled as Lottie was, she was also surprisingly adaptable and stubbornly optimistic. So she stood in front of her new, average home, surrounded by furniture that she'd bought and waited for the friendly people she'd hoped would show to lend her a hand.

"Would you be Lottie by chance?" he asked, offering her a bow as he stopped nearby. "I am Larsa Solidor and I am willing to lend you my aid."
no subject
"L-lottie?" He said to the woman, "I'm here to help you move in."
no subject
As always, he winked at the woman and grinned. "I'm here to help too, sweetheart~" He said, looking at the other two.
Well, they had their work cut out for them, that was sure. But he didn't mind it; he liked helping people anyway.

Wolf grinned as he wiped his lips with his sleeve and placed his fists on his hips. “I’m here Lottie!” he exclaimed. Then there was sense of awkwardness as he realized he wasn’t the only one who pounced out to help Lottie. Well, it shouldn’t be a big deal anyway. Perhaps these fellas are just being nice too.

She trailed off as Hercules made his entrance. The boy wasn't much older than Larsa, but taller, with a lankiness that promised an impressive build once he reached his prime. Her smile brightened at the shyness in his expression. He was just as cute as a button! "Hey there! You got the right place, hon." She wagged a finger, hand on her hip. "And you must be Hercules! That adorable voice is one of a kind!"
She clapped her hands together, walking with obvious bounce around the two boys, up the short staircase to the porch and flung to door open. "Welcome to my own lil' home away from home!" she said, chuckling. "It's not anything fancy, mind you, but I worked hard since I came here to afford it."
Lottie turned around as Zidane called out. At his petname, she tilted her head coyly, her smile demure. Here was someone closer to or her exact age (it was hard to tell), and a charmer to boot! "Glad you showed up!"she replied, bouncing back down the stairs toward the boys. "I am just tickled pink that so many of y'all were willin' to help lil' ol' me." She reached out and patted Zidane's shoulder, batting her eyelashes.
When Wolf appeared, her face lit up. "Oh! Mr. Wolf!" It seemed she'd already grown a little attached the man -- he was the first to help her upon entering the city and she felt completely safe around him. She dashed toward him, clamping a hand down on her hat, and reached out for his arm to tug him closer to the group. Dimples flashing as she grinned, she observed the group of men and boys with obvious satisfaction.
"Well, then. Let's get crackin!"

But that was neither here nor there. What was important was helping Lottie. So Larsa made a mental note of the names presented and turned to the closest piece of furniture.
"If we are to start, we should begin with the heaviest so we can be sure they are allowed inside before our strength wears out." He glanced back at the rest of them, obviously waiting for someone to take the other end and help him.

He went over to the other end of the piece of furniture and picked it up with hardly any effort at all, it was like someone picking up an empty crate. Not only that, but he was capable of supporting the entire piece of furniture by himself. "I... I think I got this one," Herc said to Larsa.

When Lottie touched his shoulder and batted her eyelashes, he couldn't help but laugh a little bit. After he watched her interaction with Wolf, he nodded and went to one of the other larger pieces of furniture, waiting for help. He was stronger than he looked, but not that strong.
Though, when Hercules picked up the one that Larsa had volunteered to handle, his eyes went wide. "Whoa!" He cried. He had to bite back a remark that would probably have embarrassed the kid, just choosing to watch in awe instead.

Quickly regaining his composure, Wolf chuckled to himself. Looks like he’s really gotta work on his game play now. He walked himself toward some of the furniture pieces and carried some. “Alright guys, looks like we have some work on our hand. Just tell us where to put it all Lottie and we’ll get there,” Wolf stated with a wink.
no subject
"This is just the bee's knees! We'll get this house furnished in no time now!" She turned back to Hercules, placing his hand on his shoulder. "You just bring that right inside, up the stairs an' into the first room on the left, darlin'. Then you can come down for the dining table!"
Lottie quickly gathered up smaller items -- a small bust of some non-descript woman, a box of books, an oil-lamp -- and placed them in Larsa's arms. "Y'all can follow Hercules and put these in the same room. Oh! Mind the wallpaper, boys! I looked all over for a house with pink rose wallpaper and I aim to keep it!"
Laughing sweetly, she gathered up a box for herself and followed Hercules inside.

He probably would have continued staring had he not been mindful of what needed to be done. So instead, he shook himself inwardly, just in time to catch what Lottie was throwing into his arms. At least it wasn't really heavy, just awkward. The young emperor felt a little less helpful, but he nodded to Lottie anyway and walked up into the house behind her.
No use whining about it. Not that he'd ever really whined about anything in his life.

"Maybe I should have said something about my... I... Uh," He hesitated as he backed up to the door, then turned and rushed into the house and put the chifforobe into the first room of the house. He then saw Lottie come in after him.
"I should have said something first," He said to her, briefly rubbing the back of his neck.
no subject
A person with super human strength? That was definitely useful for this venture.
He just grinned at Hercules as Zidane made his way in with the furniture as well. "Good going!" He cried, getting over his initial shock.
no subject
The scruffy man walked back outside, to see what else he could bring inside. He spotted a large glass table. He took some of the glass parts out and carried the frame with the other arm. Wolf glanced upward at the house knowing, that there will probably be a lot more stuff to put in, he breathed, “At least we got a guy who has super strength, makes our job a lot more easier.”
Wolf called out to Lottie, “Hey! If you want to, I can make some lemonade for all of us once we’re done moving everything inside.”
no subject
She spun away without waiting for a response as Wolf shouted up the stairs. She bounced back down to the main room, clapping her hands with glee. "Oh, Mr. Wolf, that'd just be swell! The kitchen is just right through there and..." She trailed off, finally stopping her whirlwind movements as she appeared to be checking out Zidane's hindquarters. Her hand slowly went to her cheek as she watched him, mouth gaping.
"Zidane! You have a tail!" It seems she only just now noticed.
no subject
He had to admit that Lottie had some of the strangest turns of phrase he had ever heard. Tickled pink? What did that even mean? Larsa looked a little confused at that, but too many people were speaking at the same time, so he opted for silence unless otherwise prodded, moving back outside to find out what else needed to come inside.
no subject
"T-thanks," he replied, though Lottie had already turned her attention to something else. The woman was like a bee, buzzing around everywhere, and she seemed to have the attention span to match.
Hercules walked back out of the house to get another large piece of furniture to bring into the house.
no subject
The way it seemed here, it was as if having tails was an unusual thing. He had seen worse, back at home. But seeing as how they came from different places...
"Does it bother you?"
no subject
The scruffy man turned around to show his own fluffy long grey wolf tail. “Awwwo? Oh no big deal Lottie. I have one too, see?” His own tail wagged slightly. He grinned as he turned around to face Zidane, “I’m a half wolf that’s why I have one. Are you a half monkey or something?”
Trying to think how that would work, Wolf started to wonder if Zidane changed into a monkey during the full moon. Oh, but that’d be silly, only wolves do that. He’s sure those monkeys must be a different story somehow.
no subject
She reached out and tugged gently on Zidane's tail first, then Wolf's.
no subject
The young emperor couldn't help but chuckle as Lottie tugged on both men's tails. "I do not believe they are able to remove their tails at will, Lady Lottie," he commented with a smile as he picked up something else that was light and needed to get inside.
