Wouldn't You Like to See Something Strange [Active/So Very, Very Open]

Character(s): DEATH, open
Content: DEATH is wandering around Halloweentown, exploring despite the fact that he looks like he belongs. Have fun.
Setting: Halloweentown, near the fountain
Time: ...week 21?
Warnings: All the spookiness that comes with Halloweentown, I guess.

Despite the rather dark and gloomy atmosphere, Death didn't feel particularly at home. His realm at least contained dubiously successful attempts at replicating human creation. This place was not quite the obvious, but rather an awkward leap to the left, celebrating what he could only assume was someone else's vision of humanity or some aspect thereof. Overall, he would not have been in the least surprised to see the Soul Cake Duck come wandering through. Perhaps this town was something like that.

He took a seat on the edge of the fountain, casually regarding the not-water flowing from the mouth of whatever stone creature shared his perch. Odd, this place. He had yet to see any of the Organization here, however, and decided to count that as a plus. On the negative side, he had yet to see much of anyone else either.

After a brief foray into the town with the curvy companionship of Urd to clear out some Heartless, The Master was intrigued by his transformation into his old alias, Harold Saxon. That name was merely a prime minister veil that folded back and revealed a world dominion with the potential for universal power. Gathering the feel of a fine hand-tailored suit over a ratty sweatshirt and stiff slacks was an easy decision, and the nostalgia hit his nerves again. Once crossing over into Halloweentown again, following the same directions as last time, he stopped feeling hungry and began feeling good.

While posting himself against one of the several entryways, he looked to the hooded figure and spoke with his ever-restorative confidence, "I've had that look for a while. Sometimes, you have to class it up a bit more, yeah?"

The Master, in typical Harold Saxon form, carried with his swagger through their conversation, even if the new acquaintance's voice disturbed even him. "Ooh, a bit scratchy, are we? I think I have a Ricola in my pocket," he said, scouring through his pockets sarcastically. "Nope, still a bus ticket and a sweet. I should really empty these more often. Wonderful things, pockets."

He still hadn't seen the face or recognized the cold presence of his newfound friend, but the sense of humor made him endearing to The Master. "Classic, is it? Just like the black suit, white shirt, black tie combo? I'm always a fan of classics. Fine wine, young women, The Smiths, all that rubbish."

The Master furrowed his brow as he came closer to his new acquaintance. "Do I know you from somewhere?" he said, trying to glance around far enough beyond the hood to see a face, "You sound familiar."

As he began making his way over closer and closer, he smiled to the last point made by Death. "Food is indeed wonderful," he added, "For once, I can appreciate it instead of talking about my hunger. Of course..." Four pats on the stone column nearby. "...the drums are still there."
