Toto, I don't think we're in Hueco Mundo anymore... [Active]
Character(s): Orihime Inoue, Mrs. Potts, open anyone else who drops by
Content: Orihime's first day in Paixao
Setting: Niflheim area
Time: Week 21
Warnings: none needed, I hope!
Orihime took a step forward into the streets of Paixao. The great domes of the city stretched above her, all of its light and sound contained within the roofs and echoing back to her. Everything was strange and grand, like nothing she'd ever seen before. She would have been more excited to see it if she had not, only minutes before, been standing atop a roof in Hueco Mundo. Somehow, in the middle of all the drama of Aizen's return to the human world and her friends' battles against the Arrancar, somewhere in the confusion, she had suddenly arrived outside a pair of gates, much taller than her head and made of ice. She had been asked her name and given some odd silver gadget, but she had responded with only half of her attention, her mind busy wondering where she was and who had put her here. Will Kurosaki-kun have to come after me again?
She turned back to the guard who had welcomed her to the city. "Excuse me, where am I?" But he was already taking the name of the next person in line. It was clear that she would have to go somewhere else. She moved aside, out of the way of the next person to enter the gates. She scrutinized the guards. She was usually quite good at reading people's thoughts and emotions, but these two escaped her. It was like they were flat, with only one function. The idea bewildered her, so she turned to the stall that held brochures. Maps, advertisements, and information on attractions spilled forth from the containers in every color imaginable. Orihime scooped a few of them into her hands before the pressure of new arrivals nudged her away from the booth. She looked down and examined the silver object she'd taken from the guard. What is this? She opened it, and a little stick fell out. She picked it up off the ground and twirled it in her fingers. It reminded her of a tiny chopstick. "Why would they give me only one chopstick? That's just silly." She tried to put it back in the slot where it had been, but it wouldn't fit. It took her a few more tries until she realized that she was putting it upside down. She shoved the stick back in and closed the gadget, placing it in her pocket. She had priorities. "I have to find someone who can tell me where I am." With determination in her eyes, Inoue forged ahead into the streets of Paixao, her mission of finding answers guiding her fearlessly forward.

Regardless, she bounced along, her lid making enough of a racket for people to stare at her and then move away. Some stopped while they stared and muttered something about a moving teapot. Mrs. Potts tried to be as genteel as possible, but some of them were a little unhelpful and others were downright rude.
She'd just come off one of those encounters when she turned mid-bounce and ran her spout straight into someone's leg. "Oops!" she cried, craning her body up so she could see who she'd run into. "I apologize for running into you, miss!" And who knew if she'd answer, but at least the little teapot had tried to be polite.

"I'm fine, dear. Never you mind," she answered easily. "Of course, but I've done well so far. Perhaps you could help me. Have you seen my master?" Quickly she described the Beast, hoping if anyone was here he or Belle would be.

However, something else happened that threw Wolf off guard a bit, a talking teapot was conversing with her. It must be an enchanted teapot. Soon the girl picked up the teapot and went on her way, however, this shouldn’t change the situation much. After all, the sweet lamb is new here, and needs to be shown the ropes, why not approach her now? Wolf leapt from the bushes and elegantly advanced toward the ladies with a smile. “Hello! Welcome to Paixao!" He spoke giving a slight bow to the two, "What’s a nice girl and…. teapot like you doing in a place like this?”

"Thank you, dear," she commented warmly. "We might have more luck attempting to use the journal they gave me, but it's hard for someone with no hands to open it." She looked a little apologetic, missing being human probably for the hundredth time since it had happened. "Ah, my name is Mrs. Potts. And what's yours?"
And it was about then that they were interrupted. Mrs. Potts blinked at the new face. "We're new arrivals. Perhaps you could help us."

The scruffy man looked over the map thoroughly and looked around to properly indicate their surroundings. Wolf pointed to the different types of places in the area, “Over there is Cafe Ersesat, they have the most juiciest chicken sandwiches, and along this road if we keep going along here, we eventually reach City Hall.” He opened, but he had problems keeping it together since it was a rather large map, he jumbled with it, but decided to just hold it out in front of them. The map tumbled down to ground in front of them, but Wolf tried to play it off casually. “And uh…there are a lot of places, as you can see, but nothing too out of the ordinary from any other city,” Wolf said promptly before closing it.
Wolf then put his hands on his hips and addressed the ladies. “Now, there’s some places here you can stay, whatever living style you prefer, because money actually grows on trees here, so the cost doesn’t actually matter. Soooooo…any questions?”

"Yes, I'm looking for a friend of mine," she piped up, describing the master pretty easily. "If you know where he is, could you tell me where to find him?"
no subject
"Yes, we should find them."

Although he wasn’t entirely sure they might be here, it’d still be good to try and help find them. The search might be tough, but Wolf can recognize scents. Perhaps he can smell them out, if they have any belongings on them of the person they’re looking for. Wolf folded his arms and stood before them as he inquired, “Could you describe what they look like?”

Hopefully.

Although it is possible they may be here, so Wolf decided to take a chance while he was conversing, “Perhaps you may have a possession of theirs, that way I can pick up the scent and try to find them,” he offered. Then he quickly thought about what he said and decided to clear up the meaning, “Oh, I’m half wolf, so I can probably smell out your friends if you need me to.”
Usually Wolf doesn’t publicly display that he was half wolf, but so far in Paixao no one seemed to really care that he was. So he figured these two would be ok with it too.

She tilted what she could of her head and spout, looking up at Wolf curiously. It occurred to her that she hadn't gotten either of their names, but that was all right. She could ask later.
The half wolf thing was a little strange to her, but she shrugged it off. After all, she was a teapot!
"Belle was around me most recently, but I haven't been near the master recently, and I'm afraid Belle didn't actually pick me up." She sighed wearily. "I might be better off simply looking around myself for them."

When Mrs Potts suggested looking alone, Orihime shook her head. "Oh, no, you don't have to look alone! I'd be more than happy to help! I might not be very helpful but at least I can keep you from getting stepped on, right?" She gave her most reassuring grin, which was offset a little by the awkwardness she knew she displayed in not actually having any idea where to go.
"So, um, Mister... Wolf... person... can you tell us more about where we are? That might be helpful, I think." She blushed, feeling more awkward by the moment. "See, um, I don't even really know why I'm in this city, or anything. So whatever you can tell us would be great."

The scruffy man twirled around to the two and pointed to himself, “I, am from the 9 Kingdoms, but I see this place as sort of a resting place for my thoughts. So I don’t mind being stuck here for a little bit.”
Wolf looked up at the two knowing they may need a little bit more information, “I know that the residents here a blonde for the most part, but there are many interesting folks who that came from outside worlds that I found fascinating to be around.” He glanced at the girl, hoping she was comfortable in an environment, he then realized something. They were not properly introduced, he held out his hand toward her, “I’m so sorry, I haven’t introduced myself, I am Wolf. What's your name?”
no subject
"By residents, you mean people who were born here?" she asked, blinking as he finally introduced himself. A rather fitting name, that. "I'm Mrs. Potts. Thank you for the information, Mr. Wolf."

Wolf started to ponder about how odd the city really way, but shrugged it off. What matters is that these two should probably feel comfortable here, so they won’t fly off the handle, so to speak.
