Let Sleeping Debutantes Lie [Active/Open]
Character(s): Lottie, open
Content: Miss LaBouff wakes up in a strange land.
Setting: Joutenheim gate.
Time: Evening, Week 20
Warnings: HYSTERICS.
Sleeping peacefully in the grass outside of Paixao, Charlotte LaBouff, otherwise known as Lottie, turned over on her back in a most unladylike position and snorted. One of her ruby red sandals was some feet away and her hair was a mess, but the young woman was blissfully unaware of such atrocity.
"Nah...gonna put up...corn chips..." she muttered, smacking her lips with satisfaction. Awakening slowly, she opened her eyes partway, bleary to everything but the fact that she was looking up at the night sky instead of the tasteful but modern pink of her bedroom. "Mmm?" Blinking a few times, she slowly sat up, lips pursed as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
Some ways away, two giant statues stood guard over an entrance into what looked like the biggest building with a domed roof she'd ever seen. A small group of people had lined up as if waiting their turn to enter. "Oh, my..." she said softly, fully awake now and growing more alarmed by the second.
She pushed herself off the grass and stood shakily, unconsciously fixing her hair as she headed to her discarded shoe. "I...I gotta think about this, now..." Lottie whispered to herself, patting the carefully curled locks of her hair back into place, staring at her shoe as if it would give her any answers. She was dreaming, right? Had to be! There could be no other explanation! But...she surely felt wide awake. No, like it or not...this was real. Somehow.
Lottie swallowed a whimper of uncertainty and headed toward the entrance, trying not to let her fear show on her face. A lady had to be calm and together under any circumstance, after all! Unfortunately, she never did have a decent poker face and now, her wide, expressive eyes were like the eyes of a frightened deer. Standing in line, she fiddled with her fingers, hopping on one foot and then the other, peering around and over the people ahead of her until it was finally her turn.
She wasn't sure what she'd been expecting from the person who handed her what looked like a brochure for a vacationer and some fancy, sleek machine, but she got even less. Despite all attempts to get any kind of answer from the man, he dismissed her completely. She briefly considered using the clout of her family name, but she was too shocked at the situation unfolding that she meekly entered the city instead, papers and journal clutched over her heart like a shield.

The ruffed looking man bowed his head slightly as he looked the girl up and down, oh was she a looker. Very succulent and cute like a fluffy little sheep. “Aw, what’s a lost lamb like you doing in a place like this. Perhaps I can help you,” he said trying to hide his wolfish smirk.

...And then he saw a scruffy man looking a woman over. Judging by appearances, neither of them were from Paixao, let alone the same world. He considered just walking on, but decided to make sure that creeper didn't try anything.
"Hey. New here?"

She lept to her feet almost instantly, clenching her fists as she fixed her gaze upon the door. Her teeth clenched - and rage built. "... The hell!?" she barked out - running instantly at the door and banging upon it so hard the gate actually shook.
"If you're in there, you better start running! I'm gonna kick your scaly ass into next Darksday! You hear me?! You got a head start!"

She opened her mouth to respond to both men at once when a girl was apparently thrown through the gate and proceeded to make all kinds of ruckus. "Well," Lottie said, smiling vacantly as she watched the girl pound on the door. "I do believe I've gone mad as a hatter." Her hand fluttered up to her throat, clearly on the verge of a meltdown.

Wolf guided Lottie to sit down by the nearest bench, ignoring everyone else. After all, this girl looks like she’s having a heart attack! He sat her down gently on the bench, giving her some space as he held her hands in comfort. “Ok now, are you ok? Don’t worry. Everything is going to be all right, do you need some water? I can go get some if you want me to,” Wolf said, making sure this poor little pork chop doesn’t faint.

Keeping an eye on the two and wishing he hadn't stopped at all, he went over to the girl having a different kind of meltdown. "You're not getting out if you do that."

Riku's voice went ignored for a good twenty seconds before it finally got through to her, and then she gave the door a good, hard kick which caused it to resound and shake again before turning around, a completely blank look coming over her. " Huh. "
Twenty more seconds. (which were spent turning around, and giving out some more abuse to whoever she believed was behind the thing.) Then she turned around again. " That's awesome. Mind telling me the detour then? You've seriously got no idea the kind of kicking he's gonna get for what he did to me. "

With that, Lottie burst into wailing sobs, her tears leaving thick black streaks of mascara.

The distressed wolf quickly tried to reach in his pocket and took out a crumbled up guide of Paixao and opened it to show her. “You see? This is Paixao, and you’re here!” Wolf explained while pointing at the Joutenheim gate.
Wolf sighed and gave her a small smile, “You poor little lamb, don’t be scared. I assure you, there’s nothing to be afraid of here, it’s just like any other civilization I’ve seen before, nothing to worry about.” Although Wolf was relatively new here himself, he wanted to make sure the girl was all right by herself.

He looked back when he heard the woman's voice began to rise before degenerating into wails. Though not one to fawn over some lady he didn't know, he was at least gentlemanly enough to feel very uncomfortable in the presence of a crying woman. He inwardly cringed, only a hint of it flashing on his face as he looked to the other. "C'mon," he told the disagreeable youth, "looks like we need to get both you girls a place." He motioned for her to follow, and turned his attention back to the weeping woman.
"I've been here about a month. Trust me, what the guy's telling you is right." Mostly. There was no need to tell her now about the Organization. Right now Riku's main concern for her was what the scruffy guy was up to. For the moment they needed to calm both girls down. They could fill them in on the way to some sort of lodgings.

Frowning, Prishe straightened the hem of her dress and shgook her head slightly, staring at the ground for the smallest of seconds before she stomped off after the other - toward the girl that appeared to be crying her little heart out. A look of confusion filled her face before she tilted her head - deciding to not bother calling her out. Prishe wasn't able to emphasise, that sort of thing had disappeared with Magicite. But she could pretend.
Sniffing slightly (was it her, or did something smell vaguely of dog..?) she walked to Lottie and tapped her, before speaking to her. "Hey. Crying isn't going to do any good, huh. Just think. Could be worse - you could be right in the middle of the giants that made this thing." Point to the gate went there. And a small shrug followed. Then, her ears almost twitched as she heard Riku. Then she lost it. Again.
"Wait. A month?!"

She shot up from the bench, fanning her face with her hands. "No, no, no, I cannot stay here for a month!" The little blonde began to pace in a circle around the group, alternating wringing her hands with fanning herself. "I've got social functions to attend! Gentlemen callers to entertain! Ooh, and Big Daddeh will be just beside himself without me around!"
Lottie gasped suddenly, grabbing hold of Riku even as she stared at a space between Prishe and Wolf. "That's it! Daddeh'll rescue me! Oh, sure as shootin', he'd never let me be lost for long!" As her optimism grew, she lightly began to shake the boy in her excitement.

Finally when the girl began to calm herself, he sighed in somewhat relief, but noticed she started shaking the other boy. Wolf twitched a little, well this girl certainly seemed enthusiastic, but he bit his lip, knowing that her dad may or may not come and get her. He breathed, “Wait a minute, now dear, I’m sure you’ll get along just fine with or without him.”
Wolf looked at the other girl, not knowing what to do, his eyes started looking like an extremely confused puppy. He approached her and put his hand on her shoulder in comfort, “Are you alright?” his voice going soft, unwillingly.

"The other guy's right," Riku began. "It's easy to live here while we're looking for a way out. You can pay for stuff with the leaves from the trees. Anything you want. There's even a beach where the weather's usually nice and there are shells." Girls like shells. ...Though if I find her there squealing every time I go there... "Trust me, I've been through a lot, and this is cake." He put on a bit of a smile, much as being trapped in Castle Oblivion was not something to smile about, plus he in no way was thrilled about the current situation. "Think of this as an exotic vacation, okay?" He supposed that those who couldn't do much about Heartless or the Organization had to think of it that way.
He glanced over to the scruffy man as he approached the younger girl. The guy wasn't just fawning over the other. He looked legitimately concerned. ...Cross that concern off the list. Now for the other two.
