Let Sleeping Debutantes Lie [Active/Open]
Character(s): Lottie, open
Content: Miss LaBouff wakes up in a strange land.
Setting: Joutenheim gate.
Time: Evening, Week 20
Warnings: HYSTERICS.
Sleeping peacefully in the grass outside of Paixao, Charlotte LaBouff, otherwise known as Lottie, turned over on her back in a most unladylike position and snorted. One of her ruby red sandals was some feet away and her hair was a mess, but the young woman was blissfully unaware of such atrocity.
"Nah...gonna put up...corn chips..." she muttered, smacking her lips with satisfaction. Awakening slowly, she opened her eyes partway, bleary to everything but the fact that she was looking up at the night sky instead of the tasteful but modern pink of her bedroom. "Mmm?" Blinking a few times, she slowly sat up, lips pursed as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
Some ways away, two giant statues stood guard over an entrance into what looked like the biggest building with a domed roof she'd ever seen. A small group of people had lined up as if waiting their turn to enter. "Oh, my..." she said softly, fully awake now and growing more alarmed by the second.
She pushed herself off the grass and stood shakily, unconsciously fixing her hair as she headed to her discarded shoe. "I...I gotta think about this, now..." Lottie whispered to herself, patting the carefully curled locks of her hair back into place, staring at her shoe as if it would give her any answers. She was dreaming, right? Had to be! There could be no other explanation! But...she surely felt wide awake. No, like it or not...this was real. Somehow.
Lottie swallowed a whimper of uncertainty and headed toward the entrance, trying not to let her fear show on her face. A lady had to be calm and together under any circumstance, after all! Unfortunately, she never did have a decent poker face and now, her wide, expressive eyes were like the eyes of a frightened deer. Standing in line, she fiddled with her fingers, hopping on one foot and then the other, peering around and over the people ahead of her until it was finally her turn.
She wasn't sure what she'd been expecting from the person who handed her what looked like a brochure for a vacationer and some fancy, sleek machine, but she got even less. Despite all attempts to get any kind of answer from the man, he dismissed her completely. She briefly considered using the clout of her family name, but she was too shocked at the situation unfolding that she meekly entered the city instead, papers and journal clutched over her heart like a shield.

He looked back when he heard the woman's voice began to rise before degenerating into wails. Though not one to fawn over some lady he didn't know, he was at least gentlemanly enough to feel very uncomfortable in the presence of a crying woman. He inwardly cringed, only a hint of it flashing on his face as he looked to the other. "C'mon," he told the disagreeable youth, "looks like we need to get both you girls a place." He motioned for her to follow, and turned his attention back to the weeping woman.
"I've been here about a month. Trust me, what the guy's telling you is right." Mostly. There was no need to tell her now about the Organization. Right now Riku's main concern for her was what the scruffy guy was up to. For the moment they needed to calm both girls down. They could fill them in on the way to some sort of lodgings.

Frowning, Prishe straightened the hem of her dress and shgook her head slightly, staring at the ground for the smallest of seconds before she stomped off after the other - toward the girl that appeared to be crying her little heart out. A look of confusion filled her face before she tilted her head - deciding to not bother calling her out. Prishe wasn't able to emphasise, that sort of thing had disappeared with Magicite. But she could pretend.
Sniffing slightly (was it her, or did something smell vaguely of dog..?) she walked to Lottie and tapped her, before speaking to her. "Hey. Crying isn't going to do any good, huh. Just think. Could be worse - you could be right in the middle of the giants that made this thing." Point to the gate went there. And a small shrug followed. Then, her ears almost twitched as she heard Riku. Then she lost it. Again.
"Wait. A month?!"
