A New Challenger Has Appeared! [ACTIVE/OPEN]
Character(s): Chocolat Meilleure, OPEN
Content: Chocolat arrives - in her pajamas.
Setting: Muspelheim gate
Time: Afternoon, week 18
Warnings: Depends on who shows up
She wasn't sure which concerned her more: the fact she was obviously wasn't home, the fact it was raining, or the fact she was in her pajamas. It might have been a mixture of all three. Her only consolation was the fact she had her wand and her collection pendant; then again, she never let those two things go. Chocolat pulled damp hair from her eyes, her mind reeling as she tried to figure out what happened.
Soon, one emotion took root: anger. The witch growled, stamping her slippered foot angrily. "Duke! If this is your doing, I'm going to lock you in a cage!" The vent of her anger only got her stares from some of the passerby, some whispering to one another. Chocolat gave a nervous laugh, getting more soaked by the second. She shivered, the cold of the water quickly getting to her.
Jogging under the awning of a nearby building, Chocolat wrapped her arms around herself, trying to get warm as the rain hit the surface above her. She shivered again and sneezed, anger giving way to fear. Vanilla... Pierre... Where are you? I'm scared! She kept her thoughts to herself, shutting her eyes tight. She concentrated on trying to get warm, imagining the robe that she won from the spring exam was around her body. Warm like her favorite blanket, soft as a kitten's tummy... She fought a shiver; figuring out where she was could wait till she got warm.

She didn't have anything to cover herself, so it didn't take long before she found herself angrily stomping in the streets, totally soaked. She debated just waiting it out somewhere close, but it didn't look like it was about to end anytime soon. Might as well just go back home before she caught a cold or something.
She would have probably missed the child if she hadn't stepped closer to the buildings to try to cut back at least a little bit on the rain. Then again, compared to the rest of the natives around here, she was pretty easy to spot. "Hey, are you okay?" she said, her big sister instincts kicking in full gear, she ran towards her.

"Come on, let's get you somewhere warm or something," she said holding out her hand and trying to find something open around. Luckily, there was a café around, though, that place was rather expensive... better rip off some more leaves on the next tree they passed before heading there.
Leave it to me to muck up the thread layout
She tried to take a look at her surroundings as she was led away, breaking through the cold and the ache and the worry to try and get her bearings. A candidate for queen had to do her best in a situation like this!

She pointed to a nearby table in the corner, away from most of the other customers. It wouldn't do much for the moment, but at least they were out of the rain, plus, Priere had to admit, she was getting rather hungry.

However, as she sat down at the table, she managed a small smile. "Thanks," she murmured before sneezing again, feeling warmer already.

...Had he gone too far? Vyers stopped and looked around. He had gone all the way to the gate, hadn't he? Cursing the rain for distracting him (because he certainly couldn't have gotten turned around on his own), Vyers turned around and headed in the opposite direction, intending to return home.
But, as he walked, his mind began to stray, distracted by ideas of warm, dry activities, like the nap he had planned or getting something warm to drink.
Hm... Something warm to drink. Maybe a small detour was in order. There was a cafe nearby, was there not? And, if he remembered correctly, it was a little closer than the apartments. The cafe sounded like a good idea after all. And perhaps the rain would let up a little while he was inside.
Not too long later, Vyers opened the door to the cafe, going to sit at one the tables and wait for a waiter (or, hopefully, a waitress) to come by. He watched as a small puddle began to form from his dripping hair and lamented the dreadful state it would be in once it dried.

"You can get anything you want, you know? It's not as if money is worth anything around here," she said, lowering her tone for the last part. Hey, the people around here were stupid, but last thing she needed was for them to wisen up to the fact that money DID grow on trees.
"You just got here right? Real crappy timing you got."

He tucked a strand of hair behind one of his ears as the waitress appeared and he offered her his most charming grin. "Ah, what a lovely mademoiselle...! I hope you do not mind my disheveled appearance. How irritating these sudden storms are! If I could have a cup of coffee...?" The waitress nodded, apparently not even having the time for even the simplest of conversations, and wandered off without a word, leaving a rather embarrassed Vyers to rest his chin in his hands and scowl at the table. How terribly rude the people here were.
Hearing conversation nearby, the demon's eyes wandered over to the table where the two girls were sitting. Judging by their hair color and conversation, they didn't seem to be citizens. Well, maybe listening to them for a little while as he waited wouldn't do any harm. Perhaps he would even be able to help if the opportunity arose.
He soon got the chance. "This would be the city of Paixao, dear Mademoiselle. You are not the only one who has found themselves displaced."

"Well we're---" Priere started before getting cut off by the weird man sitting close by. She gave him a rather annoyed look before continuing. "Yeah, what he said. Sorry about that, but we're all stuck here," she said, looking a bit annoyed at that fact. "At least, for the moment."

Chocolat looked back to Priere. "I see," she murmured, looking down at her wand briefly before looking back up to the older girl. "Do you know anyplace where I can buy some clothes after we eat? I can't stay in these forever." Obviously. "These were my favorite pajamas, too," she added with an annoyed mutter. She had decided on a warm pastry and some hot cocoa; that sounded really good to combat the cold.

He set it off to the side to let it cool, putting his chin in his hand again and not pouting as he turned his head away. "I was trying to aid you."

"H-hey, I doing fine over here," she muttered out to the man. "It's not as if I don't know about the place." Well okay, she didn't know very much, but hey, at least she could explain some things.
Her annoyance however quickly faded however. Staring at the man, she couldn't help but notice that there was something a bit off about him. Maybe it was the really pointy ears, something that she noticed on the girl as she glanced back at her (though much less visible). But even then, there was something bothering her. A gut feeling in a way.

Chocolat then realized she hadn't introduced herself, smiling as the waitress came to take their orders. "Oh, by the way, I'm Chocolat."

"Huh? You didn't get one at the gate? I thought they gave it to everyone, the people here are kinda crazy about them... It's a machine that you use to talk to people and there's a map of the city too..." she trailed off. She actually knew very little about it since the world she came from didn't have anything remotely similar to this technology. Okay... this was a good time for the rude guy to butt in an explain for once, not that she'd admit it out loud. However...
"Oh yeah? Then what else do you know about this place that I don't?" she asked, all traces of her prior anger gone. Hey, she wasn't about to let important info go away if it meant a way to get away from here.

She then looked to Vyers as Priere spoke to him, waiting to hear his response.

"That all depends on what you would like to know," he replied, flipping a lock of wet hair out of his face. "Excellent restaurants, people to know, people to avoid, places to stay... You need look no further than moi for your needs."

Most of the stuff he was offering was rather useless to her. The city was big, but... anyone could just post a message to ask "Hey, I feel like noodles where can I get some." However... "What about the people here?" Kairi... at least she thought that was her name, did mention some thing when she arrived, but Priere had figured out that asking about it in the open was a pretty stupid and reckless idea, even for her.
