Tifa Lockhart 003 | Dearest | OPEN

Character(s): Tifa Lockhart, anybody else.
Content: The grand opening of Seventh Heaven!
Setting: Seventh Heaven [G7]

[ooc: This will be treated like a party thread; patrons may feel free to make their own thread and the employees may tag accordingly. Time skips and all that don't really matter, etc etc etc. Just have fun with it :) Tee hee. If anything, consider this a free pass at giving somebody an excuse to pass the next activity check.]

There, all set! Tifa did what she could with the place in such a relatively short amount of time and an excessively short amount of manpower, but it looked presentable and she posted on the message board for everyone to see. Couldn't be that hard, could it? A slightly uncomfortable expression on her face was present for a moment, but first and foremost today she was a businesswoman; she would smile and greet her patrons, and get to know everyone as well as she possibly could.

With that, she put on the OPEN sign on display and awaited for her customers.

As she continued to gather up the broken bits on the floor into the tray, Meg snorted. "It's a step up from your spread from Better Dungeons and Creep Caverns, sure." She glanced at the customers and fellow workers who were still watching them and gave what she hoped was a convincing, reassuring smile.

Standing, she arched her eyebrow, the old familiar distaste and anger overriding her fear. "So you've seen the place, made a scene, don't let the door hit you on the way out, buh bye." She spun on her heel, making sure her hair would swish directly in his face should he not get out of the way quickly enough and headed to the counter.

Did she really think she was going to get away that easily? Was she beginning to forget who held her in the palm of his hand? No, no, Megara would never let that slip her mind; she wasn't a complete fool.

He's alongside the counter not long after, an elbow propped on the surface, and he watches her, keeping his voice low. "Me? Make a scene? Oh no, doll, it's you who drew attention to yourself, after all. Dropping that tray." He shrugs. "I think I'm behaving quite well, don't you?"

Because he could be a lot worse. A whole lot worse, and they both knew that.

"So I dropped a few things. We all make mistakes." Like make deals with death gods. Meg stopped the furious scrubbing she was doing to the counter and sighed wearily. What was the point in arguing with him? Risking his ire? Not that she could help it. She never understood how she got away with as much lip as she did when it came to Hades; maybe her vain attempts at rebellion amused him.

She looked up at him with exasperation. "I'm not with any crowd, you should know that. I just work here. You're the one making new friends."

Yes, Meg was certainly good to have around for amusement.

Darkness wisps away from his hand and towards her. "Hmm? What's that? Are you feeling left out? Jealous, perhaps?" But despite what she may think, he had no intention of ruining her position here. Not yet; he wanted to exploit it for future uses.

She snorted, lifting her free hand to wave away the dark tendrils. "Right, so jealous. You know how much I just love socializing with people." Her violet eyes turned hard and steely as she glanced at the surrounding patrons, voice quiet and full of casual disgust.

"The townsfolk are just as pathetic and useless as any other town I've been at and the other guests here aren't much better. Doesn't seem like much of a challenge for the great and powerful Hades."

"It isn't much of a challenge," he sighs, fanning a hand before his face, looking bored again. "But I work with what I'm given, as always. And you doll, just continue with what you're doing." He smiles, which is likely more scary than his normal expression. "You know I'll keep in touch, no matter what you do."
