Tifa Lockhart 003 | Dearest | OPEN

Character(s): Tifa Lockhart, anybody else.
Content: The grand opening of Seventh Heaven!
Setting: Seventh Heaven [G7]
Time: Daytime, week 17.
Warnings: None.

[ooc: This will be treated like a party thread; patrons may feel free to make their own thread and the employees may tag accordingly. Time skips and all that don't really matter, etc etc etc. Just have fun with it :) Tee hee. If anything, consider this a free pass at giving somebody an excuse to pass the next activity check.]

There, all set! Tifa did what she could with the place in such a relatively short amount of time and an excessively short amount of manpower, but it looked presentable and she posted on the message board for everyone to see. Couldn't be that hard, could it? A slightly uncomfortable expression on her face was present for a moment, but first and foremost today she was a businesswoman; she would smile and greet her patrons, and get to know everyone as well as she possibly could.

With that, she put on the OPEN sign on display and awaited for her customers.

Ishtar needed some decent clothing to wear for the time being, but unfortunately, she was stuck with her dress. Guess, there was no getting around that. Though, as she looked around, she noticed a guy approaching her, strangely, enough he sort of reminded her of Vord. Except the peachy skin , Vord had a rather dark tone to him, and taller... like a giant. Though, this guy was pretty much almost the same.

She looked down at her dress. There's a loose thread on her top? She didn't notice that and what do you know Kanji, she totally just noticed it because you pointed it out, "OH...I do have a loose thread... I guess I could always ask the maids to uh-- wait... this isn't.." crap. She almost face palmed. Getting too used to the whole princess thing, it's been a bad habit to blurt random things like that aloud.

"I could fix it for you if you'd like." Kanji blurted out, almost to his own surprise. Approaching women was hard; there were all of these rules and shit he wasn't familiar with. Guys were a lot easier, seriously. But he saw that thread, and before he knew it he whipped out his mini-portable sewing kit. "It won't take long."

momentary waitress interruption

Meg really hated to interrupt...whatever it was that was going on, but she was on the job and wanted to get paid, so she approached the two with a mild smile that seemed more a smirk. "Hey, guys," she said, reaching into her apron to pull out a pad of paper and a pencil. "You want a table or a booth?" She glanced behind her at the bar, eyebrow raised.

"Looks like there's room at the bar too."

"Could you really?"

She looked curiously at the male, who reminded her of her cousin, only he wasn't so intimidating as Vord usually came off as. Though, it was the first time she heard that someone other than female could sew. That's what he meant by fix right? Ishtar nodded her head, since it would be a good idea to get it fixed before it does anymore damage. She didn't know how long she was going to stick around or if there were other available clothes. She'll have to manage with what she had for now.

"Sure... If you really want to," the princess replied offering a small smile to the male.

Ishtar didn't jumped but slightly startled by the person that came in to the scene. Booth... or table? Bar? Well, she could use a drink or two... but maybe that should be saved for later.

"A table... I guess...?" she mused as she looked over at the white haired male wondering if it was okay with him.

"Table works. You can wear my jacket while I fix it for you." Kanji more or less muttered. He never entered a restaurant with a girl before, which was an odd experience. There were so many damn rules for this sort of thing, weren't there? He wasn't exactly suave like Senpai, though he wasn't as bad at Yosuke-senpai at putting his foot in his mouth. At least her smile wasn't a look of repulsed disgust... for the moment.

Taking off his jacket, revealing the tanktop with the skull and crossbones, Kanji seated himself, not appearing to know any common etiquette.

Meg showed the pair to the nearest table; or more accurately, followed Kanji to the nearest table. As he sat himself down, she gave the girl a significant look that spoke volumes: Really? This guy? She kept her comments to herself, though, as she placed two menus on the table.

"I'll be back for your orders in a bit. Want some water?"

Ishtar doesn't know what the woman was thinking, but for certain it wasn't what it seemed. She didn't even know the guy and having a common kindness even for strangers, Ishtar just followed them behind silently as she did, looking around and seeing what this place was made of and it look pretty familiar to her home, but different, very different. There was a different fee, a vibe to it. Ugh, she didn't thinks he would miss home this way before.

"Sure, thanks," the girl replied with her usual smile. Upon finding the table and situating herself in it, she put the jacket on and allowed him to fix her little problem. He wasn't that bad of a guy, pretty nice, might she add, "Water would be nice, thanks," she replied.

"Water works." Kanji absentmindedly responded to Megara, as he then continued to mend Ishtar's clothes. It didn't take too long; by the time Megara took their orders, he was already halfway done.

"This place is hella trippy, but at least peoples' clothes seem to be made of the same stuff all around." he commented. "Where'd you get these clothes, anyway?"

Ishtar just watched him curiously as the guy was mendingher clothes. Damn, he was talented, makes her feel a bit useless at times, but then again, what was she to complain? It was her fault anyway. The princess looked at him wondering how long he was here. Definitely longer tha her, that was for sure. Ishtar pondered a moment before speaking.

"Yeah... trippy's kinda the right word for it. What's it called, again?" she mused wondering why she forgot the damn place's name already. It started with 'P' though. She didn't have the least bit of clue where she got her clothes, only that they were tailored for her, "That, I don't know. Usually...I just get them," though those type of expensive looking clothes wasn't exactly common.

"These're nice. You must be rich or something; these materials can't be bought for cheap." He stated; he didn't recognize the brand or anything, but it was quality. "Anyway, this place is Paixao. It's a shithole considerin' we're all inside of a giant castle or something, but it sure as Hell don't look like it. I only got here a little while ago myself." He tried to explain, as he continued. When he finished his sentence, he handed Ishtar the newly done repaired top. "Take care of it now, y'hear?"

Rich? Well, one could put it that way. Ishtar really never looked at the fabric of her clothes. The girl seemed slightly surprised again that this guy knew the difference between good and cheap fabric.

"Paixao, inside a giant castle?" Ishtar doesn't even get the half of it. Though, yeah it did remind her of a castle, and sort of like hers, only even bigger than what she had thought couldn't get any bigger, "Oh, I see. So there's no way out of this place... at all?" she replied, furrowed brows.

Ishtar takes it with a smile, "Thanks, I owe ya, ummm... what's your name? I'm Ishtar," she replied with a small smile, and then the those words, and she heard those a lot, "Thanks... I will."

[identity profile] kanjecture.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Kanji. Kanji Tatsumi." He responded curtly. "And yeah, no way out. Nobody else who wants to get out seems able to find a way." He sighed. "I'd find a way out, myself, but... without Senpai, it's kinda hard."

"Pleased to meet you, Kanji," she replied, repeating his name as easily as she cold. His name sounded foreign to her.

"Well... damn, there goes my hopes of getting the hell out," Ishtar sighed staring at the table now. Where was that waitress with her water? She was feeling pretty damn thirsty right now.

"Yeah? What's a Senpai?" since that probably didn't exist in he world, the language use.
