Vanaheim's Gate: Nasira Arrives

Character(s): Nasira, anyone
Content: Nasira wakes up at Vanaheim's Gate, confused and irate
Setting: Near Vanaheim's Gate
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: Some cursing

Could this get any more insane? Waking up in a foreign world was the last thing Nasira expected to happen after being attacked by a bunch of thieves. Even when it seemed she had to upper hand, everything collapsed as if she just died on the spot. The last thing she saw were the theives running in the other direction and then her vision failed her and so did all the other senses. Nothing else was remembered, Agrabah was gone and never seen again. After waking up on a patch of fake grass, instinct told her to look around. Beautiful, yet fake, vegetation surrounded the area. Materials of all kinds made up the scene, allowing each plant its own beauty, some woven with gems to reflect the sunlight, giving a glow. Was it the same sun that watched over Agrabah? The atmosphere seemed normal, but what was amazing were the large domes. Their size seemed to have no limit and it appeared to have the majority of the world inside the titanic walls. It was nothing short of stunning.

Damn, maybe one of her spells backfired or something.

Nasira got up and found a line of people leading to a gate on a dome wall that swallowed the end of the line. The gate, itself had two large trees on each side, each with some fruit. All fake of course. Finding that she wasn't going to get any answers here, Nasira reluctantly joined the line, arms crossed. The people in the line seemed to be just as confused as her, heads looking in all directions, taking in the new surrounding features. The line moved at an acceptable speed and before she knew it, Nasira came face to face with a gatekeeper. After seeing countless people asking the same damn question she wanted to ask, the sorceress knew she wasn't going to get an answer out of this guy, for he just went to the next person after handing each one an electric journal. Ignoring every single question. Shit, she was screwed.

"Welcome to Paixao. May I ask for your name?" the guard asked, as if he rehearsed this line thousands of times. Yeah, it was pretty clear she wasn't getting an explanation. This was probably the only sentence the guard could say.

"Nasira." she said, obviously pissed off. Without looking at it, Nasira took the journal offered to her and stepped inside the gate, not even bothering to look back at the sky behind her. Once inside the domes, she noticed the beautiful architecture that seemed ancient. The ceiling was marked with paintings of demons and angelic creatures fighting an endless battle, bloodstained angels falling from each demon's claw. The 'sun' painted on there, shone bright as the one in Agrabah. What sort of paints could mimic the sun's blinding power? Or the moving clouds that hung overhead? Sighing, she decided to explore a bit and headed in the direction of the city hall, though she did not know it.

All of the people she knew in Agrabah disappeared, one by one, including her own brother. Could he be here too? This place may answer more than just the question she had on her mind, moments ago.

Hm. How could he put this without alarming the sorceress? The djinn levitated in silence for a moment, deep in thought. She could leave the city at will but, to his knowledge, had no ability to return to Agrabah. Even he did not have the power to do so. At least, he didn’t think so. He had never tried but his notable decrease in power seemed like as good a sign as any in regards to it. Genie looked at Nasira and scratched his head.

“Of course there’s a way out. You just walked through it. But that’s just a way out of the city, not back to Agrabah. No one’s quite sure how to return to their world, though I know many have. They’ve even returned back here! Couldn’t tell you how they did that though. There’s been a lot of talk of doors to new worlds: one an island the other called ‘Halloween Town’. I haven’t been to them myself but they very well may be key to returning to our own world.” The genie flashed Nasira a wide smile. “In the mean time though you should look into settling down, taking in the sights and sounds of Paixao... It really is an enjoyable place. Think of it as a much needed vacation. You weren’t in the middle of anything too terribly important before you arrived here anyway, were you?”
