The Garden [completed]
Character(s): Marluxia, Natalia, Timon, and Susan
Content: Three more notes fall into the hands of others
Setting: The streets of Paixao, various locations
Time: Week 13, Various times
Warnings: Plot!
To the streets again. The only announcement of the Nobody's presence was, perhaps, the sound of shuffling fabric or a few footsteps as he exited the darkness. Marluxia kept out of sight, scanning the crowd for signs of those not native to Paixao. All he needed to see was one, and even if one of the citizens were to reach the note first, it would at least attract the attention of some party of interest.
Three times Marluxia drew out a piece of paper and three times he let it loose into the crowd. The piece was never folded, allowing the writing or pictures (where there were some) to be visible to any who would notice.
And, the note delivered, the Graceful Assassin would turn back to the darkness to appear again sometime later in another location until all three were taken care of.
OOC Notes: Okay, this is gonna be set up kind of like a short version of a party thread. Comment in with your character finding the note whenever you're ready and I'll respond with the report. If you want to do a reaction post after that, go ahead. :|b

Such as a piece of paper floating slowly to the ground. Logic would say that someone had dropped it. Logic would also say that it couldn't have been, since there didn't seem to be anyone nearby who could have dropped it. Consequently it was both of some concern and of potential interest, and after a brief moment of consider, she bent down to pick it up.

As close as the meerkat managed to keep to the Dark Adonis, he could not help but feel as though they were being followed or watched in the least. He tried to shake the feeling but when the all too familiar stench of darkness reached his nose he came to a dead halt. A Nobody? No… It couldn’t be. Timon’s eyes travelled franticly around the street and searched face after face for the Nobody. However, as sudden as the presence had appeared, it was gone again. He frowned. Maybe… Maybe he had imagined it? He was a little paranoid. Timon shook his head and looked up at the demons call.
“Yeah, I’m coming. Just had to catch my breath because someone refuses to slow down. In case you forgot not everyone has as ridiculously long legs like you do.” The redhead rolled his eyes and began to walk to join the demon again before coming to another stop. He had stepped on something. “Hu?”

Re: You received a Paixao Report!
Ah, there. A piece of paper. With a few pictures of what looked to be Lumens.
...
Well, that was suspicious. "Now what's this...?" he whispered to himself curiously as he bent down to pick up the scrap.

True to his word, Timon held the document out of the Dark Adonis’ line of view so that he could observe it first. Of course, the fact that he hadn’t the slightest idea as to what he was looking at failed to help him understand it any further than the obvious: there were two animals and a bunch of human symbols drawn on it. He held the paper up and tilted his head to the side as though the new angle would help him decipher it. Unfortunately, with the scrap upside down, looking at it at almost any angle would fail to help. Hopefully Vyers hadn’t caught on to his confusion.
“Hmmm.” He hummed in an attempt to fool the demon. “Very interesting.” Timon continued, briefly peeking out from behind the report to check on the man. “Very interesting indeed.”

And of course his sudden need to read the document didn't stem from the fact that it was now being kept from him.
The demon, however, managed to catch a few glimpses of it and as he did a smug expression appeared on his face. "Ah, but if you are to read it, should it not be done in the proper direction? Unless you have managed to find something while holding it upside-down."
no subject
Taking note of man’s smug expression he frowned and held up the paper to allow him to inspect it. However, as soon as the man reached for it the meerkat moved it out of his grasp once again. “And for your information, I read better from that direction. I meant to do that.” With that said, he held it up once again, this time with true intent to share it with the demon.

The demon was silent a moment, save for a half-thoughtful, half-surprised "Hmmm..."
"I believe we may have just stumbled upon something very important indeed," Vyers finally said quietly, and proceeded to read to Timon what was on the paper (as he still didn't entirely believe Timon had been able to read it at all).

“Infestation?” he repeated. “Sub-species? Are they talking about…? But when did…? Why would they…?” Timon glanced around nervously before giving Vyers a concerned look. “I’m getting some real nasty JuJu vibes here. I mean, we’re in big trouble. I don't have these whiskers for nothing, you know. If they find out I-” No, if he said they both had found the paper it made the demon equally as responsible. That could help. “We found this… Do you have any idea how much trouble we’ll be in? This isn’t good. Not good at all.” The meerkat began to pace. “Maybe we can put it back, act like we didn’t find it? No, no we couldn’t. It’s too late now. We already read it, we’re already involved. But! We could always frame someone. We could use a citizen! Yeah, yeah that could work…”

"But, I suppose if you do not wish to take responsibility for finding such an important piece of information, I would be more than happy to present my findings to the populace," he continued, gesturing with the hand holding the note as he did so. "I'm sure they would be more than happy to have more light shed on the mysteries of this place. And who am I to keep them in shadow? Ah! How the happy cries of the enlightened people would bring joy to my heart..."
no subject
Having to suffer through the demons delusion, the rodent rolled his eyes and continued his impatient pacing. “Yeah, happy cries you’re not going to hear because you’re not going to tell anyone about this, right? Anything you post on the journals they’ll see. And even if it is you, they don’t need to know what we found. I don’t want them to know. Not until I met with Naja. She mysteriously found a page like this too, remember? They might match.” Timon shook his head. “No, you’re not going to say anything.” He turned his glance up at the demon once again. “Promise?”
no subject
Vyers studied Timon for a bit before nodding, offering back the paper with a quiet sigh. "Very well. I suppose a short wait will do little harm," he decided. "I will keep quiet for now.'
no subject
It may not have all made sense to the Dark Adnois but that was the least of Timon’s concerns. The man did not need to understand. If he did, he would realize just how scared the little meerkat was, something Timon was even less likely to admit than he (Vyers) the fact he had no plan. No, this seemed the safest route. The last thing he needed was another run in with the Organization, especially when the mere scrap of paper he had found that day was not the only thing he had accidentally found of theirs since his escape. With the new information he carried he had no desire to find out what they would do to him next.

In any case, she had to go out and buy food. Not ingredients, already-made food. Neither she or Luke were very good at cooking, after all.
