Reunion [Completed]

Character(s): Urd and Belldandy
Content: Urd finds her sister and brings her up to speed about Paixao.
Setting: Towards Joutenheim and ending at Iriela Apartments.
Time: Dark O'clock, Week 9
Warnings: None.

Of course it wasn't completely unexpected that Belldandy was here. If the city could bring Urd here, it wasn't outside the realm of reason to assume that her sister could be transported here as well. Even if she was a higher ranking goddess. Even if there was a certain connection that was supposed to be unbreakable...

In the total pitch black of the city without light, Urd flew across the sky carefully. The spell of night vision she had put into effect was already fading, but it was enough to avoid the curious loss of equilibrium. It did nothing, however, to settle the confusion she felt in her heart. On one hand, it would be wonderful to see Belldandy again, to introduce her to the friends she had made here, to feel the calming balm of the younger woman's presence. But Belldandy would be trapped here, just as Urd was. Blocked from their younger sister and blocked from Keiichi.

Sighing, Urd descended when she felt the unmistakable and familiar signature of divine energy. Holding out one hand, she softly muttered a spell, a small globe of light appearing over her head. It would only be temporary, but once she saw her sister, they could both transport to her apartment.

"Belldandy?" she called, brow furrowed.

"Urd...!" Belldandy greeted her elder sister with a smile, glad that Urd at least also had a semblance of her connection with Yggdrasil if she could execute spell programs. A tear to her eye, Belldandy approached Urd and gave her a hug. "After passing through the gate that Hild, Marller, and Welsper opened, I was so confused! Do you know where Skuld and Keiichi-san are? They came in here with us after all, right? And when did you change out of your combat outfit?" Usually Belldandy wasn't one to ask such questions, but this case was quite an emergency.

Different time planes? While it wasn't out of the question... that statement made Belldandy feel even more alone than she was before, when she didn't know that Urd was here in Paixao. "I see." She simply stated, not allowing her expression to betray what she was thinking. After all, she didn't want this Urd to worry about her too much, either. "If I may ask, what was the last thing you experienced before you came here, Nee-san?" She inquired, as to make sure not to step on any toes.

"I see, with the sound program..." Belldandy recalled that event quite well, given that Peorth had entrusted Chrono with disassembling that program and reassembling it through Belldandy. Belldandy thought the outfit was cute, but... as for right now, that wasn't the issue. Urd wasn't too far in the past, so it wasn't as if bad things were going to transpire if she elt anything slip out.

Bowing politely to her elder sister, Belldandy agreed. "Indeed, thank you very much, Nee-san." Taking her elder sister's hand, Belldandy entrusted herself to her.

"It's very lovely; I'll have to find a place to stay as well." The Goddess First Class conceded. If Urd was here from a different plane of time, then time must work differently within this zone outside of Yggdrasil's jurisdiction; the matter at hand would be taken care of eventually, wouldn't it? Belldandy knew there was little point in worrying about it, so she continued to put on the best smile that she could.

"Darjeeling, of course." Belldandy answered. "That is, if you have it."

"My apologies; in that case, I may be imposing on you for a while, if that is all right with you." Belldandy bowed once again, retaining her polite demeanor. "I'd love to stay here; I can tell you've put a lot of time and effort into making this a place of your own."

"Yet, we are still able to use it?" Belldandy sighed, responding to Urd's explanation of magic, looking into her cup of tea without taking a sip. This was quite odd, but Belldandy wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. However, at Urd's last statement, Belldandy adamantly shook her head. "Nee-san, please don't say that! I've come here because I'm certain there's a reason; I must be here because there is a need for me to be here." Even if it takes me away from Keiichi-san... "And besides that, the thought of you being alone here makes me sad; if my being here can cheer you up to any degree, then that's enough for me."

"That's such a relief!" Belldandy happily exclaimed. It was wonderful that even though Urd was trapped here for so long, that her cheery and vibrant personality enabled her to make many friends. Even in Heaven she didn't make very many friends, which was part of the reason her sister was so concerned about Urd. "You simply must tell me all about them, Nee-san."

Their predicament aside, Belldandy noticed the glow that became of her elder sister as she described the man she called Genie. Aa... Nee-san, you're in love...? Obviously Urd had a sexuality she wasn't afraid of expressing, but it was an wonderful feeling knowing that she was able to get past the hurt that Troubadour had inflicted on her. However, Belldandy wasn't the meddler; Urd and Peorth were. Simply smiling, Belldandy thought that this Genis Urd spoke of must have been a wonderful person for Urd to hold in such high regard.

"I'm glad to hear that you've made such wonderful friends here in Paixao!" Belldandy cheerily quipped. "Genie must also be a wonderful companion, Urd. I'd love to meet all of them when we get the chance!"

"... have there been any casualties?" Belldandy thought to ask. Heaven and Hell had the Doublet System in order to minimized casualties, but if these beings weren't under the jurisdiction of Yggdrasil, then there was a likely chance that fights to the death would have to occur. "Salaheem-san also told me that Maleficent-san was the one who brought about this darkness. As a Goddess First Class, I feel that it is my duty to beseech her to stop this darkness. Even if my full powers aren't available at my disposal, I'm sure she might listen if we ask her to stop." Oh, Belldandy, you and your reasoning.

Belldandy was the one who took care of the garden back at Tarikihongan, so she made a note to herself to help tend to the plants here as well. She had to wonder if there was already a spare room here which she could use for her own personal space, but she thought it rude to ask Urd right away.

"I'd very much love to be able to ally myself with Genie, if we are of the same mind!" Belldandy enthusiastically smiled. "In that case, perhaps I should meet Genie first before approaching Maleficent-san, right, Nee-san?" Belldandy tilted her head slightly, as if to ask for her elder sister's approval of her plan.

However, the serious nature of the situation was not lost on the Goddess First Class. "If it comes to a fight, that is regrettable, but I will do everything to ensure the well-being and happiness of those who dwell here... but I will also make sure to return here to you, unharmed." After all, Belldandy knew the value of life. "And if there are indeed high-powered players in this realm... then I will do everything in my power to oppose them as well."

Belldandy nodded; after all, even though she wasn't a system administrator like her elder sister or somebody who helped with maintenance like her younger sister, she still had a firm grasp and easily found her way around technology; it was all primitive compared to what they had to do in order to access Yggdrasil, after all. "I'll be sure to do that, Nee-san."

Standing up and following her sister, Belldandy was very grateful that she was still the kind and loving big sister that she knew, and was also grateful that she was able to make friends. Due to her upbringing, it was difficult for Urd to make friends in either Hell or Heaven, and Belldandy noticed that she had a much easier time befriending those on the surface world... and she was glad that she was having an easier time befriending those here in Paixao, as well. Belldandy vowed to herself to try just as hard, if not harder.

"Indeed~" Belldandy smiled, and before there could be any objection, Belldandy began chanting a spell. Indeed; Paixao definitely had a different kind if energy about it, unlike the natural energy on Earth that must have been processed via Yggdrasil before it could be used by a goddess, Belldandy had no difficulty in converting the energy by her own new found means as a radiant glow was about her, with high-frequency speech patterns and program commands she was so used to being able to be transferred to this new setting with ease. In an instant, the room was decorated, much like her room at the temple. Whether or not it signified what was familiar to her or what she now considered her home, one wouldn't be able to tell, but after the surges of power curbed and settled down it was all said and done.

"Aa, I almost forgot!" Belldandy almost seemed embarrassed, put materialized a placard in her hand and put it up on the door.

It read 'Everybody's Tea Room'.

"What do you think, Nee-san?" She asked, turning to her elder sister with a big smile.

"... thank you, Nee-san." Belldandy allowed a tear to glisten from her eyes. "It's all right, though. The fact that we're from different time planes means that time operates independently inside of Paixao; that means that I know that while I'm here, Keiichi-san is all right. Even should I not be there, I also am confident that you and Skuld wouldn't allow anything to befall on my Keiichi-san." Giving her elder sister a smile, Belldandy hoped that she wouldn't worry about her... but at the same time, it granted her an immeasurable joy to know that her sister was thinking of her and her well being.

Of course it hurt. But Belldandy wasn't one to allow that to create in her an irreparable weakness in the manga, at least. "If you need any help, allow me to know, Nee-san. To begin with, I can help tend the flowers!"

seems like a good place to end it?

"Aa, in that case, the mandrake needs to be watered five times a day..." Belldandy made a mental note. "But first, I'll go ahead and contact Genie-san, all right?" Giving her elder sister one more of her smiles, Belldandy made her way into her new room and set the notebook on the table, kneeling down and opening it.

"... I'm truly glad to be able to be here with you, Nee-san."
