The Superior waited for their prompt arrival - there would be no excuses for tardiness. He could account for the known absences, but those in the city? Every one of his Nobodies would be here, except for Number XI. It was a delicate ordeal; he needed to hear from each of the others, their full thoughts on the matter… use them to weigh his final decision.

He keeps his hood up, gloved hands curled against the white armrests, silently observing the gathered numbers. He has the words of Numbers V and VI in the front of his mind and the memories of Larxene as “Elenra” and her reactions against Number XI following them up. There is much more he could pull at, much more he could toy with. He already has, however.

Perhaps the words of the other ranks could sway his current verdict… yet Xemnas doubts that this is possible. Still, he will play “fair” for the time being… before he calls for Number XI, and pass his judgment upon him.

“I have been informed of troubling news,” he begins, no greetings or chatter. Straight to the problem at hand. He gestures one hand to the empty air as he speaks. “The word of others is that Number XI - who I specifically requested to not be present - is traitorous to Organization XIII’s cause. There is evidence to support this.” From beneath his hood, he eyes V, VI, and XII, and then his focus returns to the room as a whole.

“You each know the consequences for such actions. Therefore, I wish to hear your opinions regarding Number XI’s fate - whether you have one or not, whether you will support him or not. Speak the truth that you are aware of, and I will not penalize you for it.”

'The potential treachery of XI'. The notice hadn't surprised Saïx, although the suddenness had been unexpected. But it was Xemnas' right to call meetings at whatever times he wished, even at the cost of any and all other projects that may have been ongoing.

And treachery was a crime with a high cost indeed. Xemnas would find no disagreement from him on that. True, he knew not why or for what reasons Marluxia had done as he had, but it mattered little. Instead, he simply listened quietly to what Xemnas had to say. The motives didn't matter.

"He knew the price for his actions. Let him know the end of a traitor."

It had been too long since he'd had a proper hunt.

No mercy would certainly be perfectly fine by Saïx. It was no less then he deserved; no less then he would be glad to deal out. Besides if Marluxia couldn't stand up to him than how did ever expect to make a decent match for Xemnas?

"Although first, his reasons should be dragged from him. By force, if necessary."

Even if Marluxia had attempted to sway others to his side, Saïx would have turned him down. His only loyalty was to Xemnas, and that would not change. Not for someone as lowly as Marluxia.

"He should have known better than to even try. But now he has and so must sleep in the bed he has made."

Larxene had expected something like this as soon as she told Zexion what she knew. She was pleased, she had to admit; she wanted revenge, and she wanted it merciless. What other group could manage it quite like the Organization?

Her face was obscured beneath her hood, but her voice was a vicious thing on its own. "Kill him."

For Zexion, the announcement and consequent meeting held little surprise. How could it, when he'd been the one to inform Xemnas in the first place? His was the framework, but he'd let the others be the instruments of death.

"I believe you already know my opinions on the matter."

Roxas sat in silence, too lost in his own thoughts of all the Organization had been hiding from him to have any concern for Marluxia.

He had betrayed the Organization, and he would be killed. That...was how it was.

It was a shift in the flow of the game, a change in the rules for which he had not been prepared. Of course, this left Luxord much less than pleased. Breaking the rules left the game unplayable, and there was no point in going on with it then.

"He's broken the rules," was the verdict. "Why should we let him continue to play?"

Lexaeus let the others speak first, carefully weighing their words and all the possible consequences of them before he spoke.

It seemed, though, that they were all in agreement.

"XI is too clever and powerful to be allowed to run free. The threat he presents must be crushed."
