greaturdsama (2:46:26 PM): [sounds of tapping] ...hello? What the...Genie?
Bluefreebird (2:47:04 PM): Urd? Urd, can you hear me?
greaturdsama (2:47:19 PM): Genie! What's going on?
Bluefreebird (2:48:56 PM): [relieved] Oh good. I was worried the cup might blend in and you'd have trouble finding it. I wasn't too sure on the colour I wanted to go with, I didn't want anything tacky but...
greaturdsama (2:49:30 PM): ... [chuckle] No, neon green was pretty noticeable.
Bluefreebird (2:50:37 PM): Perfect. Now, what did you see? I'm dying to know.
greaturdsama (2:51:45 PM): Ah. I couldn't make out anyone actually doing the spell, but a dark mist rose from City Hall and spread out pretty fast over the city. It has to be Maleficent....this doesn't seem like Hades' work and she was gloating just a little while ago.
Bluefreebird (2:54:58 PM): Gloating? Hmm... If this is the work of Maleficent, which it's really looking like, I'd say we have our hands full. It's definitely dark magic.
greaturdsama (2:55:57 PM): Literally. It’s not something I've dealt with. I mean, the effect isn't rare, but the actual language of the spell is different than what I'm used to. Do you have a plan?
Bluefreebird (2:57:59 PM): Well, not yet. This will need to be fixed though, and I doubt Maleficent will be doing it herself any time soon.
greaturdsama (2:59:13 PM): I might be able to set up a barrier somewhere...dammit! If only I could connect with Yggdrasil! This never would have happened.
Bluefreebird (2:59:37 PM): With who?
greaturdsama (3:00:19 PM): The holy computer I managed back in my world. It regulates my power and allows me to use higher levels of magic. Anyway, I'll need some time to set up a barrier. Where's a safe place, do you think? You've been here longer.
Bluefreebird (3:03:21 PM): It should be somewhere far from City Hall and well hidden. We wouldn't want Maleficent to know about it. That she would look into immediately.
greaturdsama (3:04:17 PM): Hmm...I think I might know a place. What about outside? There's a magical wall of thorns around the city now. Do you think you'd be able to find anyway through it?
Bluefreebird (3:09:17 PM): If it's anything like the thorns around City Hall there's only one way to get through and that's with the Sword of Truth. I've tried summoning it twice already but it just doesn't seem to be working. Maybe with our powers combine we can make something similar to it.
greaturdsama (3:27:10 PM): Sword of Truth, huh? Alright...how would we go about combining powers?
Bluefreebird (3:30:39 PM): Well, if you wanted to go with the whole mystical sword thing -which is so over done- in theory we just need to find a sword and pour some of our magic into it. As for this eternal darkness spell, I'll need to look more into it. If nothing looks good, I'm sure I could convince Maleficent to fix it.
greaturdsama (3:34:05 PM): Well, a sword is a pretty wicked image. No one is very impressed with mystical spoons.
Bluefreebird (3:36:00 PM): They've just never given it a chance. I bet it'd be a big hit.
greaturdsama (3:35:12 PM): As for convincing Maleficent, what makes you so confident? Not planning to seduce her or anything, are you?
Bluefreebird (3:36:09 PM): ... No, I'm not. We both know she can't touch dis.
greaturdsama (3:43:32 PM): That's a relief. Okay, so we need a suitable item for enchantment...[suddenly chuckles] How about a golf club? In case you're not sick of them yet.
Bluefreebird (3:45:14 PM): You're rubbing it in, aren't,you?
greaturdsama (3:45:33 PM): Maybe a little.
Bluefreebird (3:46:17 PM): It was a close match. … Pretty close.
greaturdsama (3:47:01 PM): You don't know how lucky you are that you lost.
Bluefreebird (3:47:25 PM): Oh?
greaturdsama (3:47:53 PM): [clears throat] Weren't we talking about making a magical item?
Bluefreebird (3:49:45 PM): Yes. A golf club, great idea.
greaturdsama (3:50:54 PM): When would you like to meet to do this? It should be pretty soon. Who knows what else Maleficent has planned.
Bluefreebird (3:52:08 PM): You're right. How does some time later today sound?
greaturdsama (3:52:17 PM): Sounds good.
