In the Shadows of the City [Active]

Character(s): Soma Cruz and Maleficent
Content: A meeting between the two.
Setting: Outside City Hall
Time: Midnight \o/
Warnings: Nooone for now.

Maleficent certainly hoped Hades wouldn't make a habit of dropping every person who wanted to speak to them on her hands. She would be most displeased if there were too many repeats of this. This time, however, she let it slide as her interest was vaguely peaked. At least enough to spare a few minutes of her time.

For now she remained hidden through magical means, waiting for her visitor. She didn't particularly want to attract any unplanned visitors, after all.

Soma arrived at a few minutes to midnight, walking instead of taking a more... scenic route. One never gets a second chance to make a first impression, after all, and casual displays of power were seldom well received. He had on his long coat, turtleneck, jeans, and boots, and the silver and jade charm Mina had made for him during their brief time back home.

His sword had been left behind; he had other means of defense at his disposal, after all, and if Hades was any indication, it likely wasn't going to do him a lot of good to start with. But for his rings, he was just what he seemed - a young man, albeit one possessed of rather more unique abilities than most.

Ahh, what was that about casual displays of power? Maleficent didn't disappoint. She was the classic, textbook evil witch, right down to the pale green skin and black hat. That she had arrived in a ball of light that burst into fire detracted not at all from that fact, and Soma felt an aura of power he had only been close to a few times - once in Death's clock tower, and again in the depths of the castle where none but its lord could go. But it was nothing he could not handle.

He bowed his head in greeting, and with a soft pop, a tiny blue creature came into being over his left shoulder, hovering there with what looked like a golden trident in its claws. His familiar - well, one of them - was an imp, a classic demon in miniature, right down to the horns. "Greetings, Lady Maleficent," he said, his greeting formal but not without a hint of cordiality. "That was quite an entrance." He even gave her the hint of a smile; this was a game he knew how to play.
