Swear to tell the Truth [Active]

Character(s): Larxene, Marluxia
Content: Larxene isn't sure if she should still trust Marluxia. A bit of trust renewal is in order.
Setting: Marluxia's garden
Time: week three
Warnings: evil, subtext GASP

Larxene hadn't heard much from Marluxia lately, and she knew he had been busy with experiments. He had gotten that replica of Riku, hadn't he? Had the creature really yielded no information? She was curious--and, of course, she couldn't be sure he wasn't hiding something, anymore than he could be sure she wasn't. But for him not to tell her anything, well, it made her wonder more than usual.

So she made her way to Marluxia's garden, knowing he would be there if he was unoccupied, and began walking through to the center, opting not to warp directly there so to maintain a bit of surprise.

She turned the corner of a particularly tall thicket into the center of the sprawling garden.

Take it for granted? He didn't know what she meant. Trust, after all, was nothing more than a tool and a fallacy for those who couldn't understand how to use it. Anyone could betray you at any time, it was only a matter of pulling the strings of another's trust to make sure such a thing didn't end up happening to you. Those who believed in it were often those whose strings were being pulled. That was a fact that only the puppetmasters could understand.

And he had one of those puppetmasters standing before him. He knew she was attempting to thicken the strings so she could better pull them, but he supposed he could give her enough.

Her face was dangerously close as he looked down at her and a slow, sly smile spread across his lips. "I might have a few ideas."
