Swear to tell the Truth [Active]
Character(s): Larxene, Marluxia
Content: Larxene isn't sure if she should still trust Marluxia. A bit of trust renewal is in order.
Setting: Marluxia's garden
Time: week three
Warnings: evil,subtext GASP
Larxene hadn't heard much from Marluxia lately, and she knew he had been busy with experiments. He had gotten that replica of Riku, hadn't he? Had the creature really yielded no information? She was curious--and, of course, she couldn't be sure he wasn't hiding something, anymore than he could be sure she wasn't. But for him not to tell her anything, well, it made her wonder more than usual.
So she made her way to Marluxia's garden, knowing he would be there if he was unoccupied, and began walking through to the center, opting not to warp directly there so to maintain a bit of surprise.
She turned the corner of a particularly tall thicket into the center of the sprawling garden.

"You helped with the experiments, didn't you?" she asked, her voice its usual sweet coo, even if her face didn't quite match the tone.

"I did. Is there anything you wanted to know about it?"

That was a joke and she knew it--of course he would have looked through the memories of whoever he had been given, she would have done--had done--the same. It was just a matter of if he would or wouldn't admit to it.

"Any particular reason you're asking these questions? If I thought it was important, I would have thought you'd trust me to tell you."

And while their partnership was always one of mutual deceit, to let that facade fall was dangerous.

"When have I not?" he asked her, "I trust you more closely than I trust anyone. Although it doesn't sound like you trust me to be asking these questions." And, of course, he was telling the truth, at least, to some point. He didn't trust the others one bit, which only made sense considering what he planned to do. He at least had a partnership with Larxene, even if he would have to take care of her someday.

It was the truth, and what had brought her here. She knew very well Marluxia was a schemer--after all, it was what had brought them together in the first place. She just didn't want to be on the receiving end of his schemes quite yet, even if it was inevitable in the end.

"Prove you trust me," she said.

And he had one of those puppetmasters standing before him. He knew she was attempting to thicken the strings so she could better pull them, but he supposed he could give her enough.
Her face was dangerously close as he looked down at her and a slow, sly smile spread across his lips. "I might have a few ideas."
no subject
"You've always been one for ideas," she purred.

A bond of trust sealed with a kiss.
