Starting Out With Violence [Active]
Character(s): Deidara, open
Content: Niflheim gate
Setting: Deidara enters Paixao.
Time: week 2, evening
Warnings: language, violence
When Deidara turned to tell Tobi to stop being an idiot and stay out of his way for the fight, he found that his annoying partner was nowhere to be found. Turning back to look again at Sasuke, he saw instead a gate made of ice, a line of vapid-looking blonds, and a massive dome he had never before seen or heard of. Even without entering, he could see the architecture inside--was an entire city in there?--and he could already imagine it falling to pieces and shattering to shining dust under an onslaught of perfectly sculpted bombs.
But before he could do that, he had to figure out where he was, and how he had gotten here. A time-space jutsu was his first thought, but he hadn't noticed anything, and certainly the Uchiha brat hadn't done anything. He marched through the gate.
"Sir," a guard, as pale as the rest of the line, called him, and Deidara, amused, stopped. "Sir, you can't cut in line. You have to wait in line for your journal."
Deidara's brow quirked, and, ignoring the admonishments given just moments earlier, pushed his way to the front of the line. "Yeah? Where the hell is this?"
"Sir, you can't--"
That was enough of this; Deidara blew the man up and picked up a machine in a claylike brown that seemed to be what he was handing out. Just for the sake of matching, Deidara blew up the rest of the line as well.
So, it was time to see just what this city would have in store.

Needless to say even the walls did nothing to reduce the combined mix of erratic fear, confusion and rage from the area of the Niflheim gate. He touched his feet to the ground near the gate, uniform cape billowing behind him, simply taking the time to listen cautiously and keep aware of his surroundings.
And so he waited to see who was causing the craziness outside the city walls.

The man in the cape, though, stuck out, and Deidara gave him a curious once-over. Perhaps he'd come to see what was going on? Or maybe to eliminate him. That wouldn't be anything new.
He grinned at the white-haired man, too.

He wasn't in any particular hurry to disappear back to his real life himself, for a few reasons. Primarily was how cool this place was. He'd been reading scifi comics from as early as most children read "Go Dog Go" and Paixao was like one of those come to life. No, more like ten of them smashed together and come to life. The next most prevalent reason he didn't particularly want to return to Konoha just yet was the one that he tried not to think about. Because in Konoha, he was supposed to die soon. Before the year was out. As he understood it, it was a good death, but still, if he could put it off and enjoy exploring Paixao a bit longer, he wouldn't mind that.
He had worked his way into the southern-most dome and hopped through the neighborhood there (it was his favorite) and decided to check out the gate there before moving on. He tended to meet pretty cool people at the gates, after all. The area around the gate looked like it had seen better days, but the scene did not particularly phase a shinobi growing up in the middle of a war. What caught his attention most was a person walking around in the middle of it and wearing the same coat as Zetsu had. Another shinobi!
Obito jumped off a rooftop and bounded up to the newcomer without thinking particularly hard, offering a shout as he went. "Hey! I'm not the last one!" He ran up right in front of the blond man before the stupid grin dropped off his lips and he became still suddenly. How had it not occurred to him to check the man's forehead protector? Rock. Those guys that his country was at war with. Shit.

He took a deep breath, readying himself just in case he needed sound, though. "I'm Sasame. Just looking out and seeing who or what was causing the chaos over this end of the city." He paused, looking at both of them, not specifying who he was addressing, "You are?"

"Deidara," he said, still looking more at the other shinobi than at the white-haired man.

Well crap. Kakashi would just love this. Way to not pay attention. But the man was wearing the same outfit as Zetsu had been, so maybe he was okay...
"I-I'm Obito..." he said in not as boistrous a voice as he usually used.

Sasame had to smile a little Obito's antics, who suddenly seemed a whole lot less enthusiastic. It reminded him quite a bit of Mannen, the reckless leader of the younger half of the Leafe Knights.
He honestly wasn't sure how to react right now. The kid seemed like he was hesitant about Deidara, but Deidara seemed more interested in the kid.
"It's a pleasure to meet both of you." Sasame kept his voice level and gentle, with a slight bit of amusement in the tone.
Looking directly at Deidara, the amusement increased slightly, though truthfully he was just putting on an act for this, "Was there a particular reason for the chaos over here, Deidara, or were you just looking for something to entertain yourself?"

His tone was quiet, with just a hint of anger behind it--more than might have been necessary for such a statement. But the fear the little Uchiha brat seemed to be displaying made him perhaps not as angry as he might have been.
Maybe he wouldn't kill the brat right away.

He flinched slightly at Deidara's accusation, his eyes snapping back to the blond shinobi's. Crap. One of his relatives must have killed this Iwa-nin's friends or family or something... This just wasn't his day...
"Er, y-yeah... Um..." he fidgeted uncomfortably, feeling like a scolded child. "Sorry...?"
