For lack of anything more pressing to do, Obito had been spending the day jumping across buildings and scanning the people milling about the city for anyone he recognized. Thus far, luck had not been with him. It seemed like everybody he'd met since arriving had up and disappeared again. But, that was how the city worked, wasn't it? You appear randomly and then you disappear just as randomly.
He wasn't in any particular hurry to disappear back to his real life himself, for a few reasons. Primarily was how cool this place was. He'd been reading scifi comics from as early as most children read "Go Dog Go" and Paixao was like one of those come to life. No, more like ten of them smashed together and come to life. The next most prevalent reason he didn't particularly want to return to Konoha just yet was the one that he tried not to think about. Because in Konoha, he was supposed to die soon. Before the year was out. As he understood it, it was a good death, but still, if he could put it off and enjoy exploring Paixao a bit longer, he wouldn't mind that.
He had worked his way into the southern-most dome and hopped through the neighborhood there (it was his favorite) and decided to check out the gate there before moving on. He tended to meet pretty cool people at the gates, after all. The area around the gate looked like it had seen better days, but the scene did not particularly phase a shinobi growing up in the middle of a war. What caught his attention most was a person walking around in the middle of it and wearing the same coat as Zetsu had. Another shinobi!
Obito jumped off a rooftop and bounded up to the newcomer without thinking particularly hard, offering a shout as he went. "Hey! I'm not the last one!" He ran up right in front of the blond man before the stupid grin dropped off his lips and he became still suddenly. How had it not occurred to him to check the man's forehead protector? Rock. Those guys that his country was at war with. Shit.
