Time to open your eyes. [Active]
Character(s): Garnet and anyone around.
Content: Garnet'srearrival to Paixao.
Setting: Joutenheim Gate [K9/8]
Time: Early morning, just before sunrise.
Warnings: Nothing as of yet.
A gasp escaped her lips as Garnet woke up in a start - she was covered in sweat and her bed was soaked in it as well. Pillows, silken sheets, everything that made her bed beautiful when she was not sleeping happened to be slew across the room. With the sleeve of her nightgown, Garnet wiped her forehead off and stood up. A light headed feeling came over her, which caused her go grab onto a wooden post of her bed. After a few seconds of leaning against the post, the feeling passed and Garnet was able to stand without supporting herself.
I never have the same dream twice.. but they all feel the same.. The ripping out of my heart and a part of me that has been lost for a long time now.. I do not know how much more of this pain I will be able to endure without something happening.
Garnet turned to one of the many wardrobes that she had in her room - this one was different than the other ones. Simply for the fact that it held things from a time in which she would cherish for the rest of her life. She moved several things aside and pulled out a large bundle wrapped in multicolored silk cloth. Carefully she placed the package on her bed and unwrapped it: inside were the articles that she wore and had on her when she was adventuring with Zidane and the others.
Zidane..
Tears began to burn the corners of her eyes, but she would not let them come. Garnet needed to be strong for her people.. Somehow, in all of this she would be able to find enough strength for herself and her people.
Carefully Garnet slipped into the yellow jumpsuit and all the accessories that went with it. In her hand was one of the many rods and rackets that she used while fighting along Zidane and the others.
It will not hurt to go out for a little bit. It is still early and I doubt that they would miss me..
Using several secret passage ways and tunnels, Garnet found herself outside the castle. She took in a deep breath of the moist air that was myst free and started walking. Even though the ominous myst that covered the continent had vanished, she was still able to find several things to battle - they just didn't pop up as much.
Within moments, Garnet was fighting against a beast that she hadn't fought before. The new experience excited for her, but that did not last long. Even though she was skilled and her powers were great, somehow this beat was beyond her skill level. Unable to retreat or have allies back her up, Garnet began to rely on another form protection - but when she thought about using one it was too late. Another beast, much like the one that was attacking her in front, came up from behind and flanked her.
Garnet did not know she was injured until she started feeling light headed again. She tried to use all the will power that she had to stay upright and slay these beasts, but it was no use. Soon there was nothing but darkness for the young queen..
When she started to come to, the area around her was cold - much like the stone floors that outlined the grounds of the castle. Garnet's eyes were still heavy with the artificial slumber that was forced upon her, but she managed to open them up slightly. Slowly they started to close again.. that was until she registered that she was no longer in her bed, but a place she had never been before. With a quick motion, Garnet was on her feet and looking around.
It was a city.. At least, that was what she thought it was and it was still dark out. By what she was able to see in the dim light, there were no people around, if there were she was unable to see them. Fear began to grow in her stomach, but she managed to keep it hidden well. Masking most of her emotions was something that she was well at. That is when it comes to individuals who do not know her well.
Cold and unwilling to bother people who are sleeping, Garnet walked over to a set of stairs and pulled her knees to her chest. Maybe time would pass quickly and more people would start to join in the square that was in front of the gate. Wrapping her arms around her legs tightly, Garnet rested her head in the small space that they made. Resting because she was unable to sleep in a strange place and keeping her ears open if anything or anyone were to come near her.

He couldn't stay there. He just couldn't help but feel he didn't belong. It was a strange thought to be sure. His son was there... His son's friends were there... But was he supposed to be there?
Vyers wasn't even entirely sure if he was welcome. He had been there due to injury, necessity, but not by invitation.
But... that was of no consequence. It was best to enjoy the day for now, was it not? He could deal with the question later. Besides, it wouldn't do to stay so cooped up in that room for so long.
He'd never been to this part of the city. Then again, there had really been little reason to go. There was just the gate here, after all. The demon had only managed to wander this way out of a need to wander.
It was as he was about to turn and leave that he noticed the girl sitting there. He stood there a moment, looking her over and wondering whether she was asleep or just resting. After a moment, he finally ventured a soft "Hello?" and waited for a response.

It wasn't until the man had spoken up that he even know that someone was there. Being on the lookout and to make sure that no one got too close was really paying off for her, wasn't it? Garnet jumped slightly when she heard the voice and tugged some of her hair away from her face so that she could see better. She was already reaching back for her weapon, but stopped when she looked at the man who had said hello to her.
She clasped her hands together from behind and smiled softly at him, it was best to make a good impression upon people she just met.
"Hello, sir." She replied and looked him over - he seemed normal enough from the people in her world.

"Ah, I did not mean to startle you, my dear!" he apologized. "What an hour to choose to be about! Would you like someone to accompany you? It would be no trouble at all, I assure you." He flashed her a brilliant grin.

“If I were to have it my way, I would still be in my castle in Alexandria.. But, I somehow managed to end up here,” She paused to look around at the area, trying to memorize key points if she were ever to have to return. “It would be nice to have someone to show me around.. Is it normal for people to appear here out of nowhere?” Garnet’s head tilted slightly as she asked the question.

The suspicion seemed to fade from her eyes, however, and he nodded as she spoke. A castle, hm? Nobility, perhaps? A queen? He would have to ask about her story later, he decided. It seemed as though it would have a few interesting points to it.
"It is indeed. You'll find many the traveler has ended up in this place. Not a one of us know how." The demon reached into his pocket and fished out his journal, holding it up. "We use these journals to communicate with one another. You received one on your entry to the city, yes?"
