Well Done Donna [Active]

Character(s): The Doctor, Rose, Chrono, Rosette, Donna, Harry, whoevertheheckelse is meant to be here.
Content: The Doctor and Rose go to meet up with Donna to find out what she wanted, and there's a SUPRAIZ waiting.
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Beats me now.
Warnings: Prolly nil.

It didn't take long to arrive at the gate, the TARDIS made sure of that. Setting the TARDIS down in a obvious spot, the Doctor was the first to the door. "Right, I'll just get Donna and then we'll be on our way," he told Chrono and Rose. He figured it would be easier just to get Donna to join them, then they could quickly start the search for Rosette. Although, he still hadn't worked out exactly where to start looking, but, well, he'd think of something soon enough.

Pulling the door open, he stepped out of the TARDIS and looked around for Donna. Of course, what he was met with he hadn't expected. At all. Of course, it made sense now. No wonder Donna had been so secretive, but she hadn't known he was picking up Chrono, had she? Or did she? Well, either way he was impressed.

The Doctor looked to Donna when he'd managed to wipe the surprised look off his face, a grin starting to form in it's place.

"Oh, well done, Donna, well done."

((OOps! I should have made it more obvious. The TARDIS isn't appearing from thin air like normal, cause that involves dematerializing into the time vortex, which he can't do or else the Doctor would be OUT of there. It's being flown like in the Donna Christmas Special XD So. Yeah. FYI XD; lol))

Harry could only blink as what appeared to be a phone booth appeared out of mid air, and a rather enthusiastic looking man popped out and began talking to Donna. Well, that was kind of weird. Not that weird given the giant monster in the distance and the fact that Harry had met a talking lion earlier that week, but still worthy of note.

Turing to Donna and Rosette Harry said, "I take it this is the safe place you were talking about?"

Rose was seated on the small chair near the console, curled up and trying to be patient. She glanced towards Chrono, then glanced back to where the Doctor had left. Picking up Donna... He knew Donna, Rose didn't, but Donna knew her? That didn't make make any sense to her. Time could really get confusing... even more so in this city.

It was kind of annoying, actually.

But the Doctor should know that Rose hated to wait around. He was already gone longer than a pick-up should be, although she didn't know what 'really important' counted as. With a roll of her eyes, she stood up and leaned against the console, tapping slightly, and then just as quickly she head towards the door.

A grin was tossed over her shoulder to Chrono. "Well, might as well see what's taking him so long."

And not after long was Rose back by his side, glancing at the gathering of others, and then blinking in surprise. So that's why he was taking so long! "Rosette!"

Chrono had stood as still as the dead the whole ride in that weird box. His mind was fixated elsewhere, trying to figure out exactly what was going on and what the hell had spooked Rosette. So when the woman Rose had decided to move and speak, it took Chrono a moment before he realized what she was saying. But he did want to get moving so after the moment of realization he nodded and walked a ways behind Rose towards the door.

As Rose went outside towards the Doctor, Chrono waited inside by the ajar door of the strange blue box. Not really paying attention to what was going on the other side of the doorway and more just staring towards the ground. Hopefully Rose would get the Doctor moving and done with whatever wa-- Wait. What was-? Did she just say? "Rosette?" He whispered to himself, hoping he hadn't just imagined hearing her name. Was it that easy? Was she really RIGHT there? Chrono looked up from his daze and took a few steps forward in front of the Doctor and Rose, his expression beaming with high hopes.

"Rosette!" He called out as he caught sight of her in the group. He ran towards her and hugged her, finally relieved after all those hours of panic from searching for her without even a clue of where she could be or even where he was. "You're okay." He had been so worried she had been hurt after hearing that recording but now she seemed okay. Or looked like she was in one piece, and right now that's what mattered. There were a thousand other questions and concerns he wanted to ask her, like why she ran off in the first place. But for now, Chrono was just happy to see her after such an awful night.

Rosette wasn't quite sure what was going on - she knew there was talk of finding a safe place, but she didn't recognize the sounds that suddenly came from nowhere, and she definitely had no idea what that blue box was or where it had come from. She did, however, recognize the man stepping out of it. "Doctor?" She blinked. Her day had taken a turne for the stranger, sure, but if the Doctor was here it was also a turn for the better.

It looked like that box could fit more than one person, because the next person to come out was someone she recognized from the journals. Rose. Yeah, that was her name.

Rosette had just barely gotten to her knees, getting ready to stand, when something just inside the door of the box caught her attention - a flash of red. She froze and simply stared. There was no way. It couldn't be.

But it was, and Rosette nearly fell apart again when Chrono called her name. He'd come back. She had no idea how or why, but that didn't matter because he was here. "Chrono," she managed softly, voice barely above a whisper.

And then he hugged her and she didn't know what to do. Her right arm pulled back, hand already clenched in a fist and ready to pummel him but good for making her worry so much and for so long...and then it dropped limply to her side. No. Not right now, if ever. Right now, she was just glad he was here with her. She wrapped her arms tightly around him and buried her face in his shoulder, not wanting to think about anything else. Chrono was back with her. Everything else could wait.

Donna smiled slightly when she saw the oh-so-familiar blue box appear out of nowhere, like it always did. "Oi, about time, spaceman." She said under her breath, not really frustrated, just glad to finally have a safe place around.

"Yeah, that would be it. The TARDIS." She said making a motion as she explained to Harry. "It's not as small as it looks though, it's bigger on the inside. There's room enough for all of us." She stopped to watch the happy reunion, apparently those two knew each other from before. This couldn't have been planned better even if it had been planned, really. At least Rosette had a friend here now.

"What took you so long?" She turned towards the Doctor, crossed her arms and tapped her fingers on her arm for emphasis. But then stopped. "Oi, I'm just glad to see you're allright. And Rose too."

By the looks of things the girl had gotten into the proper hands. Cain shifted away slightly, taking in the new arrivals, judging them only briefly. They all knew the girl, which was more than he could actually say.

And it was started to get a bit crowded in that alleyway.

He cleared his throat. "Glitch. Does this city have anywhere to stay?"

[identity profile] ithehellamharry.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Well well, it seemed that Donna had a surprise in store for Rosette all along. 'That was sneaky of her. I approve,' Harry thought.

When he heard the Doctor's question Harry pondered his answer for a second. Part of him wanted to see this through, but if Rosette's reaction to the kid with the purple hair was any indication she was among friends now. Furthermore, there had been talk on the network of dealing with that Sin creature soon, and Harry couldn't help but think he'd be more useful there. Heck, considering the circumstances, if she was in that magic box...thing, (Donna had called it the TARDIS?) she would probably be safer than most.

Reaching a decision Harry said, "I think I'll get a rain check. If that high tech phone booth is run by technology, well let's just say mixing me with advanced machinery is like mixing a match with dynamite in a pool of oil. You look like you're in good hands Rosette, so I think I'll head off if that's alright with you. I hear there's a giant monster to fight, and frankly, this week has been too quiet for my tastes. I'll check in after this whole thing wraps up. I'm glad you found your friend."

Once the others had said goodbye Harry set off with a wave. First he had to help fight a giant unknown monster, then find a place to stay, figure out why he was in a weird unknown city, and maybe have some lunch.

Rose had a warm smile spread across her face at seeing Rosette and Chrono together. It was fantastic! "Yeah, I'm fine," she said to Donna, still smiling. Then, she glanced to the Doctor. "We should go somewhere unexpected." Her gaze shifted back towards Rosette. "Any idea where they wouldn't think to look for you? There must be somewhere, I'd think."

Maybe the school would do? Only the citizens seemed to (presumably, anyway) pay attention to it.... Just... something. Long enough to get her back on her feet, although she had a feeling that Chrono could help her quickly enough with that.

[identity profile] chrnologyrepeat.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Everything seemed to be coming back together now. Or at least the initial panic from earlier had finally subsided. After what may have been a while, though Chrono wasn't really keeping track of things, he loosened his grasp around Rosette. "Rosette? Are you all right? Can you stand?" He kept a hand on her shoulder, if she really wasn't all right with standing he could at least help support her in some way. The others around him did seem concerned about things still, including Rosette's health. He didn't want to just stand and give her no support if she needed it.

Chrono turned a ways, not entirely letting go of Rosette still. Some were leaving it seemed? "Thank you for finding Rosette and looking after her." Oh, right he almost forgot. Hopefully no one else had left the area since Chrono arrived. He should've thanked them sooner, he'd probably still be hunting for her if the Doctor didn't get his attention.

But what happened? He was still being left in the dark about this matter. But maybe now wasn't the best time to ask. He could always ask Rosette later anyways. Maybe by then things would have calmed down. "If you're taking Rosette anywhere, I'm coming too." Like hell he would let himself get separated from her after that nightmare of a night. Besides that, what was this about some monster? Chrono only barely caught what the others around him were saying up until now. Giant monster just happened to grab his attention, though it didn't seem like it was a huge issue for now if people were only selectively coming and going to fight it. It couldn't have been a huge problem, right? He probably shouldn't think too much on it for now anyways.

[identity profile] nun-with-guns.livejournal.com 2008-09-26 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Rosette didn't want to let go. Let everybody else talk; she just wanted to stay where she was for a while, feeling safe. Of course, that didn't last long (did it ever?), and Chrono was soon standing and asking her if she was alright?

...was she alright?

Well, if she wasn't right now, she decided, then she would be. She couldn't stop here, and now he had her partner to help her. "Yeah," she said quietly, placing a hand on the wall for support and getting to her feet. "I'll be okay."

She nodded to Harry. "I am. Thank you." Turning to the Doctor, she managed the first smile she'd had in hours - it was small, sure, but it was there. "Plenty of room? In that? You're pulling my leg." She didn't head towards the box yet, though - she may have started feeling better, but she wasn't going anywhere without Chrono.

"That makes sense, for once. At least it looks like you've gotten better at flying that thing since last time...down the highway after a taxi..." He better know what he was talking about. It had looked like a crash waiting to happen on Christmas Eve that one year. She turned to Harry before he left.

"Oi, good luck, and thanks for the help. See you around!" And watched as he walked off to do his own thing, but from the sounds of it, he knew exactly why he wasn't coming with them.

"We just all happened to be in the right place at the right time..." Donna said to Chrno smiling. "And no we're not pulling your leg Rosette, it is bigger on the inside. Amazing, that TARDIS."

(ooc: Orzzzz. Sorry it took so long guys, work has been royally pummeling my butt these past few weeks. I owe you all a huuuuuge apology.)

((Life takes over us all :| thought he was done with this but guess not presumably Glitch will poof after Cain exits, mmk? Sorry!))

Things were settling; that was good. They could slip out and let this reunion go on without the distraction of them. Cain was curious about the city, after all. And he needed a place to stay, but he figured Glitch would at least have gotten that far.

...possibly.

He tipped his hat to the others as means for departure, nodded to Glitch, and then headed away from scene with his friend. If they needed him again, he was sure they'd find a way to contact him. The "journals" seemed useful enough, magic, or whatever..

Rose was already off back to the TARDIS, a regular habit with this sort of life. Even if 'this sort of life' had changed around a bit, what with the whole TARDIS being manually flown and being trapped in the city. Oh yeah, that last part was pretty new. But it gave her something to write about anyway.

Chrono would help Rosette, although Rose kept an eye on them to make absolute sure that the girl was alright, and didn't need any extra help. Rose would fix them all up a cup of tea (it was probably better than letting her go to a cafe and getting into some sort of trouble that was bound to happen).

She looked to Donna expectantly, a small smile on her face. There was nothing saying she couldn't give the woman a try.

[identity profile] chrnologyrepeat.livejournal.com 2008-11-08 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Chrono gave a short nod to the Doctor just to show he understood. He would have said more, but he was much more distracted with making sure Rosette could walk to the weird box or not. Staying but a step in front of Rosette, if she really couldn't walk or seemed like she needed more help than clinging to a wall, Chrono could easily lend her a shoulder or something.

[identity profile] nun-with-guns.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Chrono needn't have worried - Rosette was feeling better. Nowhere near her best, sure, but definitely better. She headed towards the Doctor's box - Donna had called it a TARDIS? Something like that - and grinned at the Doctor. "Right." Making sure Chrono was still with her, she stepped through the doors and...well, stopped flat in shock.

It really was bigger on the inside.

She managed to gather her wits enough to step inside and out of the doorway. She'd wait for the Doctor (or for anybody who knew what the heck everything in here was) before she touched anything.

Donna took a look at the TARDIS where it stood and watched as Rosette and Chrono walked through the doors and into the somewhat safety that it provided. She turned towards the Doctor.

"If the offers open, I'll take it. As long as that box doesn't decided to act like the last time you flew it that way." She smiled. "Let's get this show on the road, Spaceman."
