Wake-Up Call [Complete]
Characters: Larxene and Vyers
Content: Larxene pays Vyers a visit.
Setting: Haja O Que Houver
Time: morning
Warnings: violence
She made it a priority to visit the hotel where Timon had stayed as soon as she was able. She did not expect the meerkat to still be there, but he might have left something.
Like a demon, perhaps.
She came in silently, through a portal in the corner of the room, out of immediate sight. And then she saw who she was looking for. She smiled, seeing him so deeply asleep. Pathetic. He was asking to be dropped in on like this. But it made her life easier. She passed through him without a second thought.
But really, why waste the opportunity? She should show him the error of his ways. It would be a learning experience.
She hit him with a bolt of lightning, a grin on her face.

Which meant he wasn't expecting the sudden pain that shot through his body, snapping him awake. Immediately, the demon, shot up, looking around wildly, eyes ablaze. Who would dare attack him in his sleep like that?! The dirty coward! Who...?!
Her. Her. Vyers snapped to his feet, glaring at her. "What are you doing here?"
no subject
Her capture had been intentional, and she had gone in expecting to be tortured, but what had happened--well, she had a bit of pent up frustration--or something close to it--to get out. And Vyers was quite a convenient target.
Plus, perhaps he would tell others of this.
After all, it was better to be feared than loved.

To be honest, part of him was thrilled to have the chance to face against her, to finally be able to repay her for all she had done. Another part of him realized he needed to be out of there quickly. This woman had defeated Laharl. He didn't have a chance.
And, as much as he hated to, he would have to keep to that, even if he wasn't sure what exactly the price of defeat at her hands would be. As long as he wasn't found out.
But this small room was hardly the place for a fight. His eyes trained on the window, Vyers made a run for it, arms held close to himself as he dove through. He moved close to the building after he landed, waiting for her to follow.

She moved to the side without waiting for a response, darting up higher along the rooftop, favoring the higher ground as she shot her kunai, charged with electricity, at him.
She wanted to give him something to remember.

It took him a moment to pinpoint her location, and and once he did, he wasted no time in attacking, leaping into the air as the wind picked up. Petals seemed to suddenly appear from nowhere in the air, carried by the wind (which had only intensified) right in her direction. Of course, they weren't your normal type. They were more the type for cutting and slicing than ambiance.

"My, you're not very good at this," she purred. "I guess that's why you couldn't protect your son yourself, and your wife had to die for him~."
no subject
Vyers hopped backwards to dodge the kunai, but nearly stumbled at Larxene's words. For a moment, his eyes went white with rage, but he buried the feeling deep within, even if there was a hint of malice in his words. "I haven't a clue what you're talking about, mademoiselle. You must have me confused with someone else," he responded.
His hands clenched into tight fists before he sprung forth, leaping up and hopping off the building to use it for leverage before he twisted into a spinning kick.

She appeared only momentarily to shoot electricity, then disappearing again.
"There's nothing in your mind that's hidden from me, I'm afraid."
A sickeningly sweet giggle.

Vyers was hit in the leg next, and it sent him to the ground on one knee. He searched for her, wondering where she was hiding (he was beginning to hate these portals of hers).
"My, my, how stubborn we are! But you're quite mistaken." Where was she?
no subject
She appeared directly above him, blasting lightning downward. "I bet I could kill your dear son right in front of you before you'd be able to even react~!"
no subject
"You... flatter moi," he said in-between breaths. He should run. He knew he should. But he wanted to draw blood. Just once. Enough to quiet her.
She knew nothing.
He turned to face her, eyes blazing red. So she relied on speed, did she? Well then, he'd see how fast she was.
Vyers charged once again, splitting into four as he did so. Two of them went off to flank her, while the last vaulted over her, twisting in order for the four to better converge on her.
no subject
"You're angry because it's true," she purred. "How pathetic. Perhaps I will kill one of them~. Not Laha~rl. Etna, maybe?"
Another giggle. "I'll give you~ her tail."
no subject
Another hit and he was sent back to the ground, clutching at the dirt and wishing he did have his former power. He pushed himself up off the ground, a few locks of hair falling in his face as he snarled at her.
She couldn't harm Etna. She was out of the city (as far as he knew), and Laharl was still capable of defending himself. The woman had merely used her trickery to get the upper hand on the boy. He would have won otherwise, Vyers was sure of it.
As for the truth in the statement... No, he wouldn't give her the satisfaction of him even thinking of it.
"Such words are not befitting of a woman such as yourself." He paused before chuckling and grinning (because it would get under her skin so terribly), "Perhaps growls and grunts would be more suiting?"
no subject
Five portals opened, surrounding the demon. And five Larxenes flew out, shooting lightning and kunai in equal measures. She would give him something to remember, and she would wipe that grin off his face.
"You should remember your place."
no subject
His eyes widened as the portals opened up almost as soon as he could stand, and he blocked and dodged as many of the attacks as he could, but there were too many and she was too fast.
When it was all over, he merely stood there, slightly slumped, barely able to move. But he was still standing, even if it took almost everything he had to do so, and even if he felt as though his legs would give out at any moment.
If anything, he would make certain he kept his pride. This was his place. He wouldn't allow himself to kneel again.

So she held out her hands, and electricity crackled between them. And then, as she stretched her fingers toward Vyers, out shot the electricity in a thick bolt, enough to lock up muscles and cause convulsions--in people who weren't her, of course.
And she didn't stop. Not for a long time.

Slowly he began to wake up, his eyelids feeling as though they were made of lead. His vision was blurry and his thoughts alternated from running together and silence.

She let him drift in darkness for a moment before dropping him from the sky.
And then the kunai came.
She slammed one through his hand with stunning efficiency, pinning him to the wall of the hotel. And then she moved his other arm into position and pinned that as well. His wings were next, and then his feet, each individually staked but close together.
And then one more kunai, close enough to his head to scrape it and draw blood.
All together, a perfect heart made from a demon.
She giggled.

He tried to pull his scrambled thoughts together, but they slipped away as soon as he could grasp them, and suddenly, exhaustion overcame him as he slipped back into unconsciousness.
