Get Down, Baby! [active/open]
Character(s): Akutare and any other party-goers
Content: To keep himself entertained, the Dark Hero decided to throw a party.
Setting: The Wild Ginger
Time: Late Afternoon going on into the night
Warnings: None as of yet... but I'd suggest you not be the last one out of there.
[Note: Since there's probably going to be a bunch of people in this post, I figure it'd be best to break it up into mini-threads. Just make your post in here and others will reply to it or make a completely different post if your character is gathered somewhere else. Feel free to thread hop in between and have fun~!]

While he waited for everyone to arrive, Akutare lounged in one of the chairs, fiddling with his journal and pointedly ignoring the disapproving looks from the man nearby. It had taken the demon a long time to convince the owner of the establishment to allow him to throw this party (especially since it was so sudden), but he'd managed to get it done, promising the owner that everything would be paid for along with a bonus for all of the people who happened to be working that night.
Now that he thought on it, it had actually been a lot easier than Akutare had expected. Not that he was complaining. He probably just happened to get a particularly gullible and greedy group of suckers on his hands. All the better for him! Still, he wondered just what kind of currency they had in this place, anyway. Everything seemed shiny enough that they probably had something that glowed or something like that. Maybe. He guessed he should have asked something like that when he just came in. Oh well, he'd manage somehow.
"Aaaaand posted!" he noted to himself, pressing the button and waiting for the responses and people to roll on in. Haha, this was an awesome idea.

Though Adell was slightly surprised by her rather...calm reaction. He had at least expected to be scolded but this was certainly a nice change of things for once. "No problem." He replied as he watched her move down the buffet before returning to his previous task of finding them a seat.
He spotted a nice, quiet little corner where they would be able to eat in peace, granted Akutare didn't come back to bug them, and moved over to sit there and wait for Rozalin.

She also hoped this would be a good corner for Akutare to forget about them. Maybe then they could almost enjoy this.
Rozalin glanced to Adell for a moment, but glanced away fairly quickly. That battlemaniac still had her feeling bashful. Touching her hand, carrying her, kissing her. Why did he keep doing such strange things?
Lifting her fork and knife, she began to cut a small piece of her roast beef, being a proper lady and all, and began to eat. Food was a wonderful distraction from her thoughts.
no subject
His head was still full of questions he would like to ask her but couldn't bring himself to ask yet. Besides, this was a party and hardly the place to be talking about serious matters. So he kept it to himself, trying to focus on his attempt to enjoy the party.
....Well, at least the food did taste good.

Was something on his mind? He seemed kind of, well, thoughtful? It had seemed like he'd been holding back on something for awhile. Was it what happened yesterday? Or was it something else?
A party or not, Rozalin's curiosity had peaked over the top now. She had no reservations about trying to find out what was going on. Wouldn't it be better just to get it out of the way?
That's what she decided as she finished her meal and set her cutlery neatly on her plate. She stared at it a long moment, before lifting her head, looking to the red head beside her.
"Adell?" Rozalin spoke up hesitantly, as she was breaking a long silence. "...What is it?"
no subject
In the end, he settled on the latter. Getting some answers would grant him some peace of mind that he really needed.
"I was just thinking...about home and," he hesitated for a moment before finally saying it. "...What happened yesterday."
no subject
Rozalin's hands came together in her lap, nervously clutching the other as she tried to figure out what exactly to say. She was... afraid. Afraid of how he'd react. Afraid he'd leave her.
But he wouldn't do that, would he? It wasn't his style and... he'd promised her. Adell had snapped her out of it, the least she owed him was some sort of explanation, right?
Wringing her hands now, she closed her eyes as she tried to formulate words. "Yesterday... I... I...." she started, trying to figure out how to even start.
Finally, in a quiet, shuddering voice, she forced the words out, "I'm... t-the real... ...Overlord Zenon."
no subject
A million thoughts ran through his head but somewhere it clicked, it all made sense. The 'failed' summoning, everything...
Eventually he managed to collect enough thoughts to put into dumbfounded words. "Y-you're...Overlord Zenon? But your father...!" Perhaps not completely coherent ones but it was a start.
no subject
"I... Overlord Zenon reincarnated into... me. The fake was an enemey who found me and raised me as his own daughter all for revenge," she explained, the conversation between her... Zenon and the fake she could remember, allbit a bit on the fuzzy side, but she remembered enough. She remembered enough of the words and the feelings. The vast loneliness...
Rozalin shuddered slightly, hugging her arms to herself. She could have hurt so many people... even Adell. Zenon's powers and emotions were just so strong.
no subject
Before he spoke again, Adell put a hand on her shoulder comfortingly. "Thank you for telling me." Surely it must have been hard on her.
no subject
"Thank yo...? --You mean you're not... ...not..." Words failing her as she tried to figure out exactly what she was worried he'd be. Angry? No, she hadn't thought that really. Disappointed? No... that didn't seem right either. She remained silent as she wrestled with something to fill in.
Finally she forced something from her mouth, "Not... going to leave me?"
no subject
"You're still Rozalin, aren't you?" He said as he moved his hand from her shoulder to give her a pat on the head. It was more of a statement than a question, really. She might have been Overlord Zenon in her past life but to him she would always be Rozalin.
no subject
"...Yes... Yes, I am..." she replied softly, a small smile appearing on her lips. She then reached up, touching Adell's arm to halt the patting. Her expression happy once more, and far less troubled, although vague annoyance was there instead, but there was that smile there too. "You may stop that now. I'm not a dog."
no subject
At least he had managed to make her smile again, he was glad about that. He also felt a whole lot more relaxed himself now that he knew what the previous day had been all about and most riddles from back home had been solved. Finally, he could have some peace of mind.

They'd already stayed at the party perhaps longer than they'd planned, although Akutare had yet to come bother them again. It wasn't so bad, really, she supposed.
no subject
The party certainly hadn't been bad so far now that Akutare seemed to leave them alone. He wouldn't mind staying a while longer if it stayed that way.
no subject
Being trapped here was really quite annoying.
"I suppose we could just... relax here a little longer," Rozalin added.
no subject
Glancing back to the dance floor, perhaps being unconsciously on the look out for Akutare, an idea struck him and he turned back to the princess on his side.
"We could dance," he suggested. Just sitting still wasn't quite his thing and what he found most relaxing was training but he doubted that suggestion would go over well. So he just went with the next thing that came to mind.
no subject
Of course, she had trained in the popular dances. It was an important thing for one of royalty to know. But Adell dancing? That was a little hard to picture.
