Ones Lust For Knowledge [Completed]
Characters: Timon and Lust
Content: Simply sharing some knowledge over a midnight snack.
Location: Cafe Ersesa [H4]
Time: Night
Warnings: None at the moment
Timon was never big on straying from his friends these days, especially at night. The last time he had done so, a calamity ever so great had occurred, teaching the meerkat a lesson he would not forget. However, once again, he found himself following the exact same path he had before.
Having skillfully snuck from both Vyers and Pumbaa during their slumber, he quickly made haste toward one of the ever so popular Cafe Ersesat's. He imagined things to go well, especially for the fact that Luna, the woman he was meeting, by no means appeared linked to The Organization. She was meeting him inside, was she not? The area was well lit, there were plenty of people present, and she was completely new to the city. The threat by her seemed little. Besides, she was very polite and pleasant to speak with over the journals. What could possibly go wrong? They were simply exchanging information.
Which! The meerkat was pleased to be sharing in a more appropriate manner than over the journals. Since Illidan had begun complaining over the message board, he decided spreading the message personally would be much less dangerous and a lot less public. Organization Thirteen would know less of what he, as well as others, new this way too. This would keep them guessing... Hopefully. The sooner they could take down the Organization, the sooner he could get out of this. All this work and no play was really getting to him. He deserved a vacation. Two, at least. Not just some short, dinky, little vacation either. A long, peaceful, and relaxing one.
Sighing happily at the thought of simply resting in a cozy little hammok by a rippling stream, a thousand miles from any threat such as the Organization or 'Sin', he found himself about to walk into a wall. Snapping alert, which he should have been the entire time to avoid being followed, he came to a halt before the wall made him.
"Whew! That was close. I outta start payin' closer attention to where I'm-" Suddenly the cafe's door swung open, smacking the little rodent in the face. "... Going."
Peeling himself from the door, he rubbed his face before kicking the door angrily. But as anyone could guess, that did not seem to go over all that well. He yelped, immediately grabbing his foot while hopping about on the other.
"So that's the way it's gunna be, hu?" the redhead mumbled to himself, looking up at the overwhelming structure. "-Eh?" It was then he noticed high up the door handle was. Usually, someone of the tall, human-like verioty accompanied him, opening the door for him. Because of this, he had forgotten just how difficult it was for someone of his stature to enter these buildings. Mumbling once again, he began to jump up in hopes of reaching the handle.
First things first, when he was mayor, he would make all buildings install meerkat friendly doors.

So when she made her way to the cafe in search of Timon, she was hoping for something far more interesting than the shallow citizenry had to offer.
She almost didn't notice the tiny meerkat leaping for the door, and even then almost ignored him, until she remembered the picture the machines had provided. So that was really what he looked like? Curious. Was he some sort of chimera?
Either way, she would see what he had to say. It might prove interesting.
"Hello," she said, smiling down at him and providing help opening the door that he appeared to need.

"I am," she said. "You're Timon, right?"
She was being nothing but polite. Animosity wouldn't get her information, after all.

"Perhaps we could start with some information on the Organization you mentioned?"

"Are there any known members?"

"What do you mean by light and darkness?"

So this organization was made of not-quite-people. And Timon seemed worried that one might appear out of thin air to whisk him away. So perhaps this organization held sway over the town. It was worth looking into, at any rate.
"You really are quite clever," she purred. "You seem to know a lot of the current situation. But someone must have formed some group to resist this organization, yes? That's how these things usually go."

So there were two groups, at least: the more obvious Organization and the hidden Resistance. Was the Resistance in hiding because they were not strong enough to act, or were they planning something? And were there even more forces at work in this city?
"Well, then, what about you?" she continued. "Surely someone as knowledgeable as yourself has to have a group of followers, right? Where do you stand in all of this?"

And if she was able to manipulate Timon, then she could manipulate an entire group as opposed to one blabbermouth meerkat. Perhaps this little unexpected excursion wasn't entirely bad.
It would prove interesting, at least.

She smiled cheerfully as if she had believed Timon's poorly done cover up. "Oh, of course. Anyone you pick is certain to get things done, right?"
She leaned back in her chair slightly. "What sort of person would you want to be your General, hm?"

Knowing where Timon spent his time could prove useful. If he wouldn't give her names, she could always follow him and see who he met. But perhaps not yet. It was too early to say he wasn't going to end up spilling anyway. After all, he had slipped up once.

"Oh, I've been here and there," she said. "I wanted to get to know the layout, you know. But this place is far larger than any city I've been to before."
She looked back up at Timon. "There appear to be several hotels. Any you would reccommend?"

"I'd rather be near where things of interest are happening," Lust said. "It would be boring to be in the middle of nowhere, don't you think?"
She smirked just a bit as Timon stole food from a passing waiter. She shook her head in response to his question.

"Monsters? Now who sent those?"

But really, nothing could compare to a face-to-face conversation, where she could watch for hints of more to be told and hope for slip-ups.
"Sounds dangerous," she agreed, making note to go find some of these creatures, and perhaps examine the source. "Is either the Organization or the Resistance doing anything publicly? It seems like it would be a good source of good publicity."
Perhaps she could plant the idea in Timon's head; if he had a connection to the Resistance, he might mention it.

"If they're going to stay in the shadows they may be mistaken for another hostile group," Lust said. "It would be good for them to do something to prove which side they're on~."

So perhaps Timon didn't have any control of this Resistance--or perhaps he was lying. But he didn't strike her as a terribly good liar. But that he could know enough of what they were doing to disapprove of the way it was run meant he knew more than he was saying.
"Oh? How would you do it differently?"

Power was the most interesting teeter-totter, after all. And the struggle for it so amusing to participate in. She nodded, seeming to continue what Timon said.
"I really should thank you for talking to me," she said with a smile. "I'm brand new to the city, and there's just so much going on."

There was quite a bit of information to go over. It all warranted further exploration. Such a little creature had such interesting pieces of knowledge hidden. And certainly she hadn't heard it all--but she had time. One did not earn trust in a day. There would be more meetings, of course. And if she played her cards right, the knowledge would fall before her, as it tended to.
"Of course."

"I don't mind," she said, opening the door. It would pay to play nice for now. She would earn his trust, even if it took time, and then she would figure out what he knew in its entirety.
