It's not over [Open, Active]
Character(s): Kid, anyone nearby
Content: Kid's arrival in Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim gate
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None, yet.
Kid sat up dizzily and shook her head. Was being stabbed all a... wait. This place seemed too full of light to be one of her dreams (and her wound was gone as though it could never been and Kid always felt the pain of her wounds when dreaming, always); was she dead?! If she was, damned if Kid would cross those pearly gates without dragging the cause of her death with her! The blonde girl stood, brushing off her clothes and defiantly smarting up her hair a bit, and she strode to the gate, where she addressed one of the guards, clearly irritated. "Oi!" she demanded, drawing herself up to her full, if average, height. "What th' hell d'you think yer doin'? M'not dead yet!" Was she?
The guard looked at Kid as though she were insane and shoved a strange electronic device in her hands, nervously greeting her before shoving the thief into the city. Kid sputtered angrily, about to turn around and give the guard a piece of her mind, when she stopped and looked around her.
Well, may as well look around before going to find Death. This place looked interesting, anyway.

She looked over at the hotel. "I'd prefer somethin' a little more low-layin'," she shrugged, "but don't worry. I'll find a place meself. YA oughta worry about where yer goin', 'specially if yer goin' alone."

"I'll be okay." he assured her, bent down and rummaging through the pamphlets he had dropped when he had pointed lifted his hand to point at his scull prior. For a moment, he had forgotten he had the pieces of parchment in his possession. "I have another map."
Finding his desired pamphlet, he carefully stacked the others in a pile and offered them to Kid as he raised himself back onto his feet. He didn't like the idea of leaving Kid alone, but the sooner he found something to hide his bones, the better it would be for both of them.
"What about one of the inns up north?"
