It's not over [Open, Active]

Character(s): Kid, anyone nearby
Content: Kid's arrival in Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim gate
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None, yet.

Kid sat up dizzily and shook her head. Was being stabbed all a... wait. This place seemed too full of light to be one of her dreams (and her wound was gone as though it could never been and Kid always felt the pain of her wounds when dreaming, always); was she dead?! If she was, damned if Kid would cross those pearly gates without dragging the cause of her death with her! The blonde girl stood, brushing off her clothes and defiantly smarting up her hair a bit, and she strode to the gate, where she addressed one of the guards, clearly irritated. "Oi!" she demanded, drawing herself up to her full, if average, height. "What th' hell d'you think yer doin'? M'not dead yet!" Was she?

The guard looked at Kid as though she were insane and shoved a strange electronic device in her hands, nervously greeting her before shoving the thief into the city. Kid sputtered angrily, about to turn around and give the guard a piece of her mind, when she stopped and looked around her.

Well, may as well look around before going to find Death. This place looked interesting, anyway.

A smile found itself across Daniels mouth... Er, what was left of his mouth, anyway. He was glad to hear that he had earned Kid's acceptance. Well, sort of. She had only really stated that they now held little conflict between each other, but Dan felt it went further. He personally was pleased simply to be in her presence. And, well, Obito too once he had calmed down. He seemed equally as nice as the girl, even if he had only met him moments after Kid.

Speaking of the boy, Dan was left completely oblivious to his clever tactic when changing the subject due to his misunderstanding. He revealed his journal shortly after Kid when Obito had mentioned it. It seemed everyone did receive one of the mysteriously enchanted devices. How curious. He nodded in agreement with the girl, having never seen such a peculiar thing in his own wold either. He had held up a few conversation himself through the devices, but only by accident.

Putting the journal away once again, he followed Kid's gaze to one of the passing citizens. Yes, perhaps it was a good idea to get moving. Although, he had a very strong feeling he was the real reason people were staring. A walking skeleton was fairly unusual sight, there was no question about that. And though the others did appear to dress a little differently, they at least had flesh.

He nodded in agreement with the girl once again, feeling particularly guilty for the looks they were receiving. Perhaps they would be better without him...
