Seven Deadly Sins; More on the Way [Active]
Character(s): Luffy, open to all
Content: Luffy finds some weird thing...a Sin-Spawn? *GASP*
Setting: G5 area, the Glass Bonsai
Time: Mid-Morning, after this mess begins.
Warnings: Violence!
Luffy looked puzzled. This was hardly a spectacular accomplishment, of course, as sweet-but-stupid young man in the straw hat found himself feeling confused over a great number of things in this world and in any other. This was different, though; he had good reason to be concerned this morning, as he had been strolling quietly along, his long, slender arms swaying as he soaked up the calm and quiet morning atmosphere. Something, skittering just in front of him, had appeared from an alleyway not yet brightened by the psuedo-sunlight, and froze suddenly as it glared at him with what he could only assume to be a very large eye in the middle of its body. Luffy froze immediately as well in mid-step - leaving one leg slightly elevated from the ground, as he had not yet put his foot down before he stopped- and squinted his eyes examingly at it, his face scrunched inquisitively.
"It's...a really ugly cat?" he mused aloud, not knowing how to describe this being. Its appearance left him without words, with nothing like it in his own world to compare it to. With a blend of grays, blues, reds, and purples along its small, scaley body, as well as horns emerging from a variety of angles, Luffy simply stared silently at it for a moment.
The creature, driven by its aggressive instinct and likely sensing an easy target, took a few shuffling steps towards Luffy. In response...he did nothing. Luffy simply stood there, still not moving, his leg still raised, still wearing the same curious expression on his face. "No..." he finally said, as if correcting himself, "...it's a sheep. I think."
Whatever it actually was, sheep or cat, the creature moved a little closer, emitting a soft little buzz, as if a swarm of insects were drawing closer. "No! Sheep don't make that sound, so it's something...different?"
The creature, definitely not a sheep at this point, came just a little closer, then stopped suddenly and remained flawlessly motionless for a moment. A hush fell between the two; Luffy had apparently run out of ideas on what he should decide this being actually was, and stayed quiet until he could come up with something new.
Humming through the air, Luffy saw it suddenly lunge at him, the dragging claws on the bottom of its body outstretched. Finally taking his next step, his foot at last touching down, Luffy held out his hand to intercept it, wrapped his palm squarely around its 'face', then jerked it out of its flight and slammed it sharply against the wall.
"Huh!" he huffed, exaggerately put off by its rude behavior. "What's wrong with you, little thing? I was just trying to figure out what you are."

no subject
As they clashed, claws raking together with the sound of cloth being torn, Luffy whipped his body around to face the aggressive little beast, his face drawn and twisted with an outright sense of fury. At that point, he couldn't see how Ahnassi was faring; he would simply destroy this opponent as quickly as possible, and if need be, help her afterwards.
There was no need for theatrics, no use for a great deal of preparation or a clever sort of attack. Luffy knew that these creatures weren't strong enough to withstand a good, hard blow, so that's what he would reward its tenacity with. Luffy simply waited for it to make another quick, yet painfully predictable lunge towards him, and it was there that, in his own eyes, time itself seemed to slow down to a snail's pace.
There it was, claws out and ready, its body suspended in midair. Making a low leap from the ground, it sailed towards him at a shallow angle, placing itself squarely within his most devastating range. With combative senses so keen, Luffy was effortlessly able to put his entire body, every last square inch of muscle adorning his lithe frame, into his movements.
One of his feet shifted forward, initializing his momentum into the attack, while the other shifted back, acting as the iron-clad brace to his stance. Energy, generated by tensing his powerful legs, began to build up and travel quickly up through his calves, past his thighs, and up into his waist. There, it was spread out, traveling swiftly across the muscles in his chest, back, and shoulders to be amplified and pushed further along to twist his upper body forward. All of this raw power suddenly bottlenecked as it forced itself into his right arm, barreling angrily down his shoulder to be focused across the entire limb. Ultimately, the kinetic energy pooled and exploded from the tips of his knuckles, delivered into a titanic straight punch.
Time returned, and the beast's entire body was suddenly twisted apart against the edge of the fist, like the twisted wreckage of a high-speed collision. Upon impact, it immediately burst into the same shards of light as the others had, scattered quickly along the length of Luffy's arm and the air surrounding him.
The little sinscale legion was gone, leaving Luffy and Ahnassi in peace. Luffy, readjusting the soft little straw hat atop his head, stood up straight and glanced over at his triumphant comrade, smiling.
"Hee, wasn't that fun?" he said simply.
