So You Want to Meet A Wizard? [Complete]
Characters: Kit, whomever else wanders in.
Time: Around midday.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate.
Summary: Kit's just gotten through the gate, and is wandering about.
Warnings: None from Kit.
Kit looked around the place. The gate had been pretty impressive, and somehow it felt almost like wizardry. This place couldn't work on mere physics alone. The structures were impressive, but... He pushed through the crowd, and listened, with a wizard's ear. There was magic, but somehow... not the same. This confused him, but told him that he should probably keep a low profile for now. Nothing here felt like it was back home. And... he tried murmuring a few words to his electronic journal that he had gotten, but it didn't respond. Which was even more disturbing, since everything was supposed to know the Speech.
He hoped that maybe someone would come along and point him towards where he could go.

"It's a bit of a walk to the hotels from here. We could just find a bench and relax for a bit before I show you there. You'll need a room to stay in, of course." Subaru stated as if this were plainly obvious.
"Your version of magic sounds fascinating. I've met mages who sing, who write their magic out, who just wave their hands and it happens, but I don't believe I've ever met anyone who puts so much thought into it." For no reason he could fathom, he thought of the mage who's life had been saved by vampire blood and the blood of the ninja who had been desperate to save him. That mage was particularly powerful, of all the magic users Subaru had ever met. He wondered how his new friend would compare.
"I don't think you said... what is your name?"

"Ah, yeah... I think I said, but it's easy enough to forget. I'm Kit. Christopher, really, but I hate my name. And there are lots of ways to do magic... the whales sing it, and sometimes you can do spells in your head... the diagram's gotta be somewhere, but it can be in your mind if you want."
