So You Want to Meet A Wizard? [Complete]

Characters: Kit, whomever else wanders in.
Time: Around midday.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate.
Summary: Kit's just gotten through the gate, and is wandering about.
Warnings: None from Kit.


Kit looked around the place. The gate had been pretty impressive, and somehow it felt almost like wizardry. This place couldn't work on mere physics alone. The structures were impressive, but... He pushed through the crowd, and listened, with a wizard's ear. There was magic, but somehow... not the same. This confused him, but told him that he should probably keep a low profile for now. Nothing here felt like it was back home. And... he tried murmuring a few words to his electronic journal that he had gotten, but it didn't respond. Which was even more disturbing, since everything was supposed to know the Speech.

He hoped that maybe someone would come along and point him towards where he could go.

Subaru suddenly wished he knew quite a bit more about this place, or that he'd made an effort to learn at least. He hated being unable to answer questions, and usually he was so shy that his last few words would have seemed out of character for him. Kamui so often did most of the talking for them, but for the first time in his memory he was without his other half, without his twin. It was a terrifying feeling, but Subaru knew he couldn't let it paralyze him. He had to keep moving, to find his twin so they could move on. Staying in one place too long was dangerous.

"Well... this place is called Paixao, and I sadly do not know that much about it. Your plight is not original. So many of us are travelers from other worlds who have ended up here in one way or another." Subaru had gathered enough that his choice to change worlds was in fact one of the strangest cases. Most simply... appeared here.

"My name is Subaru." he introduced. "And if you would like, I can help you learn your way around. That's something I've managed to do since I arrived, is learn my way to various places." he said with a reassuring smile on his face.

"It's good to meet you, Subaru." Something was nagging at him, and he pulled his Manual out of his pocket. He flipped to a page, and frowned. "That's odd... 'Out of ambit'. So I really am in a different universe." He closed the book and tucked it back into his pocket. "And it doesn't give me any information about this place. Strange." Since he had sensed magic around here, he figured that it was safe to at least check his Manual. "There's people who can cast spells around here, aren't there? So it's not sevarfrith."
