Courage always seems to come with fear. [completed]
Character(s): Bakura Ryou, Blue
Content: Bakura goes to meet up with Blue, even though it's rather late.
Setting: starts at Morem o Lisboa and ends at Train Station [L6]
Time: late evening
Warnings: nothing completely serious, a decent amount of minor angst?
Bakura looked down at the journal shaking his head. It would only fit in that the troop outside the domes could have gotten caught up in the same drama as the inside of the domes. He typed up a quick post to Blue, then flipped to the messageboard, typing a reply to the Missing Persons/Kidnapped post about Jack and Gaston.
He gathered up the bag of shiny materials his caretaker had left him with and put on his cloak. Seeing Blue's reply, he opened up the map to check the location and saw that the train ran by that way. He typed a final reply to Blue, suggesting that they meet at the train station, and put his journal into his bag with the money pouch. Pulling the hood of his cloak up, he gathered up his bag, staff, and key and locked the door to his room as he left. He walked to the train station nearby and took the train to the station he had promised to meet Blue at.
At the station, he looked around. Given how late it was and how different the two of them looked in comparison to the native citizens of Paixao, it probably wouldn't be hard for them to find each other.

She begged that she would hear something through the journals about one of the two... though she doubted it from Jack, the poor skeleton in pieces...
The question still needed an answer: Why did this happen?
With a sigh, Blue finally closed the journal and leaned back her head, only snapping back to attention when she heard the whistles and bells of the train and she forced a smile to her face.
Bakura was a part of her 'pack' as much as Jack and Gaston, and even a bit moreso. It would be good for her to see him, and to know that he was safe.
At least one of them would be.
She stood up and packed away the journal, and then sprinted to find him, and how easily he stood out amongst the crowd. Her hand shot up to wave and she didn't have to put on a fake smile as she called out, "Bakura!"

It was really good to see at least one familiar face, even though the circumstances could probably have been better. But, as he knew from experience, you can't have everything you wish for...and some things are better off not wished for.

Eyes softly gazed at the ground. "I wish there was something I could've done..." she trailed off, unable to stop thinking about it. She had a habit of dwelling. On, and on... "If... I wasn't this form..." she shook her head and sighed again. If she was still the canine that had once sat by the old man, still the one that discovered the truth of herself because of the flower girl, still the one who went seeking Paradise with a pack of true wolves -
But she was human. And it continued to weigh down on her, whenever she might just be forgetting what she truly was... it would come up again.
Blue looked up at him, blinking away water and smiling, for real, softly. "I'm really glad to see you again. I'm glad... that you're safe."

"I'm glad that you're safe too. And I'm sure someone will figure something out to find Jack and Gaston. A lot of people are missing others. It was on the messageboard."

She wanted to do something. She didn't want to sit back on the sidelines, wagging her tail, watching others rally together while she simply watched, or chased after them. It had been something she had done before, so naive, until Cheza had come to her.
"I met one of them once... one of the people with the black cloaks... I didn't ever get his name... but there was something so strange about him... I didn't know what it was, but I guess since they're the people involved... that was it. I don't know why he didn't just grab me then. But then, not too later, those creatures attacked and I ran into you. Maybe they're linked? It... would make sense... I think..."

He paused, thinking about the attacks from earlier when he had met Blue, "Maybe they are? I don't know. It doesn't seem like much of a coincidence." He stifled a yawn in his sleeve, looking out at the dome's patterns for the night sky. He idly wondered why bad things always happened when things were starting to look good, though he knew he didn't really want to know the answer.

She checked the message board, a quick glance across it, and then smiled, closing the journal and looking back to Bakura. "There's some sort of 'festival' that everyone seems to be happy about. A lot is going on with it... Do you want to go?" She paused and blushed a bit, feeling funny. "I've never really heard of such a thing, let alone go. Ah... it could be interesting, I think?"

[[and now we're off to the festival. Do you want to post the entry in the line there, Heather? ]]
