So, What Happened? [Complete]

Characters: Timon & Pumbaa and Etna (and then going to find Ivan?)
Content: Timon and Pumbaa, frightened from Kovu vanishing and explosions from outside, go to escape, but discover the destruction outside.
Setting: Havasu Medical Center
Time: Late Evening/Night?
Warnings: None right now.

The great race to freedom from the scary medical center was slowed down as Pumbaa and Timon, the later of the two being perched on the first's head, reached the main lobby. It was a mess. Humans running about everywhere in panic and shattered glass of the doorway lay spewn across the floor.

Dodging around humans Pumbaa skillfully managed to make it outside, but that seemed to be where the explosions they'd heard had taken place.

The ground was scorched and cobblestones torn from the ground in two places, in a circular pattern. The first of the circles of damage was close to the door and smaller than a much larger one further out that seemed to have created even greater destruction. The only other clues to what had happened here was a large sword wedged into the ground, an abandoned journal and a smear of blood on the stones.

The warthog slowed to a stop, his mouth agape at the damage. He'd never seen anything quite like it. The fire at Pride Rock had been the most destructive thing he'd ever seen, but even that hadn't caused the ground to look like that.

"W-what do you think happened, Timon?" the warthog questioned his meerkat buddy as he pulled his eyes from the scene to look upwards at his buddy.

Although Timon had finished speaking, he still considered Etna's blunt remark an interruption causing him to frown at her in annoyance. Even when he was finished talking he wasn't finished talking, even if that didn't quite make sense. For now, all he could do was send the devil a disapproving glance as Ivan began to speak.

"Vanished?" he repeated, slightly surprised. "That's exactly what happened to Kovu! Actually, come to think of it, that's happened to a lot of people lately. Gezz, this organization bunch sure know some weird voodoo. I don't think even that crazy monkey could pull off stuff like this, 'eh Pumbaa?"

Bringing a paw to his forehead, the meerkat gave a groan. "So much for finding any clues."

Great, just great. Half, if not all, of Paixao's population was depending on him, the 'soon-to-be' mayor, to gather information for them, and he had nothing. And this didn't only include the kidnappings either. With the sudden wave of amnesia spreading around the city, he found his duties growing more and more demanding with people going to him for help. Not that he didn't like being seen as the all wise and knowing Mayor or anything, it just worked better when he actually knew how to help.

Like how to free his friends.

Three known friends of his kidnapped, one unknown. Two suffering from amnesia... It was starting to get to him. He was just sitting here in the hospital while Larxene was doing who knows what to those he knew. His last conversation with the Nobody hadn't been anything near comforting either.

Timon was really starting to miss home now. The bugs, the jungle air, his little hammock by the steam... His thoughts wandered to the point he drifted almost completely out of reality before realizing that he was still sitting in Ivan's room.

"Well," he began, "that was a waste of time. If that's all, kid, we're gunna get goin'."

Hopefully this would force any remaining bits of information out of Ivan that he hadn't already brought up. Otherwise, they'd be walking out rather empty handed -not that they already weren't. It'd just make the redhead feel like he had at least accomplished something, especially with this quick and fairly poor 'getting Ivan to talk' trick of his.
