Figuring out the journals had been stupidly easy. Convincing the kid - Sora - to meet him had taken a bit more work, but it had paid off in the end. Nobody would suspect Sylar of a damn thing if he had some preteen running around with him. After a quick trip into a nearby shop, the bloody hoodie had been disposed of and a dark sweater was now tied around his waist in its place. Not the best cover on the planet, but he didn't think he could get a good pair of jeans here, and water had only gotten so much of the blood off. The sweater, however idiotic it may have looked, covered the rest.
Getting a train ticket had been simple as well. Raven's information was right - all he had to do was wave a quarter from his pocket in front of the teller and he got a ticket to the next train.
The hour-long ride had given him time to think and peruse the journals more thoroughly. Laharl, he decided, could be a problem if not kept in check. Raven would be a useful source of information. This Organization that everybody mentioned every other line seemed to be running the show. If the Larxene commenting on his journal entry had anything to do with them...well.
Whatever maniac had thought this up had done a thorough job. Sylar would take extra pleasure in taking off the top of his head and using the dead person's power of illusion for himself. If it was this strong, he'd never have to worry about being pursued again.
But for now, it was time to meet this Sora kid.
He stepped off the train and into the crowd at the station, searching for the brown hair and bright clothes that would pinpoint his new companion.

First there was Jack, and he knew Jack. But Jack didn't know him, and he wasn't sure what to make of that! It had hurt his feelings, to be honest, but he didn't let it bug him for too long if he could help it. There were other things he needed to be worried about first off.
Like what the heck were the lumens? And the Nobodies? He hadn't heard of either of them before now! Were they affected by the keyblade, too? And in this place where no one had ever seemed to hear about the keyblade, there was one woman who did. And she was taunting him, he was sure of it.
He glanced out the window of the train as it pulled into the station and stretched, his back and neck popping. Great, that had taken forever. This city was amazingly huge, he realized again.
He didn't really have much to go off of from Sylar's pictures on the journal, but he was looking for him as they stepped off the train. "I don't think I like trains," he said to his friends. The hardest part of that ride had been sitting still.
If not for the circumstances, and the other passengers, he'd say that the train ride was almost normal. And that didn't feel right.

The train ride would have been less annoying had the other passengers not been staring at her whenever she saw out of the corner of her eyes. She was well aware she looked similar to their mode of dress (except perhaps the boots and the Vorpal blade) but she detested being the subject of observation.
In any case, Alice was already digesting information she'd been given. Lumens, Organizations, the kind of money accepted at this place. There was much to think about and equally as much to do now. She had made sure to purchase a knapsack for her "items," and hope she would not have to use them. However, if this place was as full of troublemakers as the journal entries had said, there was no avoiding it.
"I have ridden on carts that were much more friendly," Alice replied to Sora's statement aloud as they were leaving the train. "I do hope we get to the station soon. I wouldn't mind taking a look at this place more thoroughly."
She looked over at Rinoa. "Wouldn't you agree?"

Sora doesn't know Sylar's real name, and I totally forgot that. Sylar's going by Robert, and please, please, please in future posts, refer to him as that... Except, of course, for Sylar-mun. XD
Again, this is Sora-mun, apologizing and banging her head against the desk. XD Thanks!)

Firstly, of course, where was she and why? The information gathered by Alice and Sora were helpful for surviving in this place but what she really wanted to know was how to go back. Rather absently, she stepped off the train with her newfound companions. At the very least, she had friends here. Friends always make things much better. Although, something about Alice seemed curious at times. She was probably just being paranoid though.
Having stepped off the train, she smiled to Sora in an attempt to cheer herself up. "Hope this Robert guy is cute!" She joked with a grin; anything to keep her mind off thinking about their current predicament. Things will turn out alright, definitely.

Who were those two girls with him, though? This kid was either really lucky or really good. Given the way he'd sounded on the journals, Sylar was betting he was just lucky.
He arrived in time to hear the taller girl's comment. "Well," he made his way towards the group, "maybe you can tell me." Turning to face her, he flashed his friendliest smile. "I'm Robert," he lied.
He then turned to the kid with the clown clothes. "Are you Sora?"

He glanced at his two friends, and motioned to them respectively, so he could introduce them. "Robert, this is Rinoa, and this is Alice!" he announced with a grin. "I met them at the Vanaheim gate, so..."
He paused. It was a momentary thing (well, duh), sort of a break from the current topic.
He'd been playing on the journals a lot, and he'd done more reading than he had ever really wanted to (but he figured it was necessary), and he had a hunch he might have found a clue about where to go next, if they were to get out of there somehow.
"I read on the journals that there's an abandoned church!" he said, eyebrows drawn. He was thinking, and it still sounded, well... fishy. "I think we should check it out. It's outside of the city, and it might have something about getting out of here."
He glanced at his companions, a little sheepish, just because he hadn't really given any of them any time to speak.
Oh well!

She figured this was another of those things she had lost being in the asylum so long: the chance to converse with her same sex about boys and clothes and the like. When she thought about it, she wondered if she would ever find those topics of conversation as engaging as they did. They meant little to nothing to her. Instead, she shrugged and tried another small forced smile, then turned to Sora.
"Do you always make random plans without letting anybody know?" Alice asked this dryly, but there was a hint of teasing in her eyes. "Well, I suppose it can't be helped. I'm just as curious as you are about finding out about this place. While we're walking, we can find out some more about each other."
Now that was something she didn't have to make up. Going out to find out about creepy creatures were DEFINITELY her cup of tea.
One thing struck her as odd though. Why would a man who looked older than any of them be so fascinated with Sora anyway?
For that matter, why was she? True, he was closer to her age, but he was also very optimistic and sprightly, things she very much lacked along with several other social graces.

"I don't mind going," anything is better than being alone. Then realizing that she might not be able to go home if she doesn't try looking for the way back, she added, "Maybe there's a way out near the church!" It was unlikely, but it served to comfort her a little. Maybe there was a meadow near the church and a beach near the meadown. Maybe it was actually their promised place. Maybe Squall has been waiting there for some time now.

The church sounded like a good idea to Sylar. This whole illusion had to be based somewhere, and the church was a likelier candidate than any of the other places he'd seen around here. "Checking out the church sounds like a good idea," he told Sora. "There's just one thing - how do you suggest we get past the gatekeeper? From what I know, they're not letting people back outside the domes."
His next comment was directed at Alice. "It took an hour to get here by train. I really think we should take a train back to the gate instead of walking all day." He smiled apologetically at her, trying his hardest to dispel the suspicion he'd seen in her face. He couldn't afford to have anybody suspect him here, even if it was just an illusion. As much as he hated acting so sickeningly nice, he'd do it if it would keep his - or rather, Robert's - reputation clean.

But he recovered quickly, his eyes alight with the prospect of an adventure (and a few days before, he'd been whining about having to find Riku before he could go home and relax!) and he announced, a bit mischeivously, "We'll create a distraction!"
He stretched, and his hands fell at his sides again. "Come on, let's go!!" He was ready for some excitement, now.
no subject
"I think you can leave that bit to me," Alice said. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve that will certainly get the gatekeeper's attention. I think the best thing to do would be to take refuge in a hiding place of a sort, and while the keepers are distracted, we can run out and make our way over to the church. If we take the train to the gates, I guess that will be all right. I suppose we can let Sora lead the way."
She looked over at Sylar and smiled knowingly. "Will that be all right with you, Robert?"
no subject
"And if we can't distract them then we can just put them to sleep!" She suggested, already growing excited by the prospect of an adventure. She could tell that it was going to be really fun, going on a quest with new friends.
She still missed her old friends a lot though, especially Angelo. It was hard remembering a time when she was not with her canine best friend. They had always travelled together, Angelo could even help her in combat now. Which reminded her, "Don't you guys think we should stock up on ammunition and things first before setting out?" She suggested. "There could be... stuff, out there." Rinoa was never known for being specific.

Leaving the rest of the group to their conversation, he covered the dozen or so feet to the ticket counter in a few quick strides, fishing a handful of change from his pocket on the way. Reaching the counter, he smiled again - his face was going to freeze this way if he wasn't careful - at the seller and handed him several coins. "Four tickets...please." He tried not to choke on the last word.
The seller seemed astonished at the vast amount of shininess Sylar had handed him (all thirty-two cents of it) and stammered an incoherent reply as he handed Sylar the tickets. Wow. He was rich.
Sylar took the tickets wordlessly and returned to the group. "Well, I've got the tickets," he said lightly, holding them fanned like a hand of cards. "Let's get going."

He grinned, removing his hands from behind his head and curling them into fists. "Let's go!" He said, excited by the plan (and maybe a chance to meet these lumens he'd read about, or even the nobodies).
"Does the train leave soon?" Sora asked. He looked a might bit devious at the question. But only a bit. He was Sora, after all.

Alice used this time to gather her thoughts and make an inventory of what she had and what she didn't. The rage box was gone, and were her demon dice, grasshopper tea and darkened looking glass. The other weapons were there though: the jack bombs, her croquet mallet, her cards, her vorpal blade, her ice wand, the Jabberwock's eyestaff, her jacks, the dead time watch and the Blunderbuss.
Better see how well they work Alice said to herself. She started with the ice wand. Directing it at the window, she sprayed, and was pleased to see the window's glass harden and crack as it froze.
"Excellent," Alice said softly.

Alice's group, though. A brunette girl dressed not unlike the locals, a "comely" young woman with dark hair, a boy with strange shoes, and a suspicious-looking man. Chizuru hopped up on a nearby bench to peer over the heads of the crowd at the train station...
... only to spot the only group matching that description wandering off toward another train. The boy described as having "somewhat odd-looking footwear" was wearing huge yellow sneakers that looked a little like small taxicabs.
Chizuru swore, hopped off the bench, and tore across the station. She knew all too well how it felt to get separated from a group by missing a train, and she was not going to go through that embarassment with a group she hadn't even joined yet!
"Hey, miss! You need to buy a ticket!" yelled one of the blonde people at the ticket booth.
Chizuru swore again, and instead of waiting patiently, nipped to the front of line and cut in. "Pardon!" What to pay with... She fished the shiny pen out of her pocket and tossed it across the counter, recieved a ticket, and was off again, chasing two girls in blue, a boy in taxicab shoes, and a man who seemed disturbing by his normality.
Maybe creepy men were a natural thing to Paixao.

I mean, we COULD stay on this one, but this might take awhile to finish, and we might want to go to the new thread so we can establish how the whole "order" is going to go and everything.
OOC
...this is gonna be AWESOME. XD
