May it Be [Completed]

Character(s): Tris, Ansem, Kadaj
Content: After meeting Simba, Tris goes back outside the gate to meet up with Ansem. She gets a bit of a surprise.
Setting: Outside Niflheim.
Time: After the Monkey-Leaves thread, Tuesday Night
Warnings: ...Ansem and Kadaj?

Tris had left the odd... lion-man, Simba, when her journal had alerted to her to a reply on the message boards. She knew what that meant, and made her way with all due haste outside, diverting the rain almost unconciously. Please, gods, let it be... Asaia Bird-Winged, please, may it be that I can accomplish whatever I need to, to see them again... She sighed a little, trying to calm the shaking in her hands.

Her, nervous? Never. She closed her eyes, taking deep meditation breaths. The weather-witch sank into her magic with hardly any focus at all, reaching out along her connection to the other three. There was nothing. She frowned and tugged at stray bits of power that had taken her momentary distraction to come loose.

Her daily meditation chore and catching-up for that taken care of, she opened her eyes, looking around. She batted at a spark. Stop that. I should be calmer than this.

Really.

Kadaj gave Tris's unconscious form one last mockingly apologetic look before taking Ansem's hand. There was an obvious expression of eager anticipation on his face that he didn't even bother to hide. No point in trying, was there? After all, the sooner they got back, the sooner he'd be able to see his traitorous older brother get the treatment he deserved, the treatment all humans deserved, for the way they treated Mother.

And as for Tris? What empathy he felt for her was unimportant and would probably fade soon anyway. There may be some lingering guilt over tricking her like that, sure, but she was no different from the others, now was she? They would all meet the same end anyway. It was just a matter of time.
