Soft and Sharp [Complete]
Character(s): Vash, Jayne Cobb, others?
Content: Vash stops by the weapons shop and finds that it's surprisingly cute.
Setting: Folios Weaponry
Time: Early afternoon?
Warnings: Jayne needs his mouth washed out with soap. D: There is a high possibility of talk about violence as well.
Vash had spent his first few days in Paixao just exploring the place. He found a few restaurants he had made a note of to return to, and more than a few sights that had left him in awe. He still couldn't claim that he appreciated being here, but in the meantime it wasn't that bad. Yet, he hadn't been able to forget what Sir Sword had said about the monsters that attacked the city. Vash hadn't yet seen anything that even looked dangerous, but it was better to be safe than sorry. So, when he had seen that there was a weapons shop on the map, he immediately left the Central Station in search of it.
It hadn't been hard to find at all, though he was rather surprised after he walked in. The store had plenty of things on display, from knives to guns to stranger weapons that he couldn't put a name to, like one that was a ball covered with spikes on a stick. In contrast to the deadly weapons, however, was an entire set of shelves full of plushies, including ones that looked like animals and little people with smiling stitched faces. One of the teddy bears set on the floor was about as tall as Vash was, and that was no easy feat.
His attention thoroughly distracted by the strange plushies, he wandered closer to the shelves, staring at one in particular shaped like a squashed pink teardrop with a face. What the heck was that supposed to be?

When he woke up, though, and stood up, his spine had popped something awful. His back still felt like hell, but there was nothing he could do about it. After checking the weird electronic device again to yell at River for spreading her crazy all over the network, he finally headed for his original destination.
When he entered the weapons shop, he was a little surprised. Weapons shop where he came from involved lots of guns and knives, and usually that was about it. This place had all manner of weapons he'd never even heard of. There were swords, too, which was something only rich people took classes for. He never cared much for them.
After examining some of the odder weapons, he finally took notice of the vast amount of... stuffed... creatures in the shop. "What the di yu..." He muttered, walking over to that section. What were stuffed toys doing in a weapon shop? He was confused.
He noticed another man was looking at the plushies as well. The guy was as tall as he was, but that ridiculous looking hair gave him a couple inches of advantage. It was blonde, too, which made him wonder if the guy was a resident of this crazy place. He didn't look like he belonged here though.
Returning his gaze to the plushies, he reached a hand up a poked at one, a yellow bird of some kind. "Kind of out of place aren't they?"

At being addressed, Vash looked over to the other man with a small smile. The scruffiness of the guy was almost refreshing, after the way most of the natives of this city were so fancy-looking. "I don't know. I think they brighten up the store a lot." Not that he sort of stopped to think about it, it was kind of disturbing to have kid's toys in a store full of weapons that kids shouldn't be exposed to. Huh. It was a good thing there weren't any in here right now.
