Its the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fiiine :D [complete]

Character(s): Danny, Misha, and later on Dan
Content: Danny's more than a little bit disturbed by a message board conversation. Misha comes to help.
Setting: Actua Are
Time: After the posts made on the Message board by Dan
Warnings: Danny being a little psychotic, and an appearence by Dan later on. Which means profanity, brainbreaking, and graphic violence XD

There was a distinctive "BAM!" against the wall from Danny's room after he failed to respond to Dan's comments.

Danny set up against the headboard of his bed, he had a very firm grip on his hair. His knees were brought close to his chest and his face was distorted mixture of anger and extreme sorrow. He, after every moment or so shook his head and muttered "No...No...No..." as tears streamed down his face.

A few feet ahead of him lie his journal, and on the opposite wall there was a small indention.

Misha had sat in her room and talked with Timon-kun, after Danny had run back to his room. Talking with that other person had obviously upset him, and Misha didn't know what to do.

When she heard a BAM from the other room, she got off her bed and left her room. She crossed the hall and knocked softly on Danny's door.

"Danny-kun? It's Misha'su..."

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Misha flinched a bit when he yelled at her. As an angel, she could feel when other people were sad and hurting, and he was definitely hurting right now. So she felt hurting inside too, even though the pain wasn't hers.

"Danny-kun," she said, "Please'su... I'm worried about you. Who was that person'su?"

She tried the door but it was locked tight. Since she didn't know what the BAM had been, she was also concerned that he had gotten injured. Maybe he'd fallen off the bed?

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Misha was relieved when Danny opened the door. He didn't look hurt, and when she saw the journal on the floor, she could guess what the BAM had been.

Her heart hurt when she looked at him. It was the same way that Kotarou-kun felt, because his mom had died, except with Kotarou, it had been faded. With Danny, the badness was still raw and very strong.

She put her arms around him and hugged him.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
"You, Danny-kun?" Misha repeated, confused. "I don't understand'su... that was another person'su, I talked to him?"

Without removing her arms from around him, the angel girl guided him to the bed so they could sit down.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
"From the future'su?" Misha said slowly, trying to understand the idea. "Like'su... Kotarou-kun is Kotaroh... the same soul'su?"

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"The same soul'su isn't supposed to be in the same place twice'su," Misha said slowly, although maybe things were different here in Paixao (she was thinking more and more than maybe this wasn't part of Earth, just for the strangeness of it).

"Go... insane'su?" The angel girl wasn't sure what to make of that. She looked over Danny. "But Danny-kun, you're not'su... not a monster'su."

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-26 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Monsters are bad people'su," Misha said, with her arms still around him. "Danny-kun is a good person'su, I can tell'su."

She didn't know what had happened that the people he'd known had died, all she knew was that it was recent and that he blamed himself for it.

"Danny-kun... people die'su... it is sad'su and sometimes it does not seem fair'su. But people only die'su... when they're meant to."

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-27 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Danny had either forgotten or he didn't know, but it didn't matter how much he tried to hold his feelings in, she could still feel the radiating off of him like heat from a fire. He was angry and hurt and so confused, all his negative emotions hit her like a slap.

I'm not a good angel'su, she thought miserably, I can't even make Danny-kun feel better'su! Why can't I ever make my friends happy'su? Kotarou-kun... Danny-kun...

And when Danny mentioned the map, Misha felt even worse.

"I'm sorry'su, Danny-kun," she said softly. "Timon-kun said, he doesn't want the map right now'su... but later'su. So... so we don't have to go anywhere'su."

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-27 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
Misha was surprised when Danny hugged her. "Sorry'su," she sniffled, "I know angels aren't supposed to be sad'su, b-but..."

She covered her face with her hands, ashamed. No wonder Heaven had dismissed her. Her first friend in Paixao, and everything she said made him feel sadder.

"I didn't mean for you to get more upset'su, Danny-kun," she apologized, her amethyst eyes watery with tears. "Good angels should make people feel good'su, even when something bad has happened'su, and I don't know'su... I don't know how'su..."

So distracted, she didn't notice that her wings had come out of hiding, unfurling from her back with a soft swish, downy white feathers tickling against Danny.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-27 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
Misha lowered her hands, looking up at Danny -- only to find that Danny was looking at her, his mouth hanging open. It took her a few moments to realize why, and when she realized he was looking at her wings, she actually flushed a little.

"Oh'su..." She stammered slightly, "I-I didn't, umm'su..."

He was still staring at her.

Embarassed, she wrapped both wings around her, hiding her like she as in a big fluffy cocoon.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-28 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
The wing he touched was very soft, and it moved under his hand as she peeked over top of the feathered edge to look at him.

"Teeheehee," she said nervously. After all, Sacchun had always told her not to show her wings to humans. But Danny didn't seem at all frightened by them. And besides, he'd guessed about them when they'd first met, sitting by the gate.

"No wings?"

"I've got them hiding'su!"

Except they tended to pop out when she got flustered or upset. As they'd apparently done.

"Umm'su..." Misha said. "Sorry'su. They're not supposed to do that'su!"

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-28 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Misha blushed again when he said they were nice. They were? Sacchun had always told her to take better care and brush the feathers out more often. The angel girl realized Danny's hand was still resting on her wing.

"Thank you'su," she said softly. At least for the moment, he didn't feel quite so bad, and that was something, right? Although she wasn't sure how him seeing her wings would make him feel any better, but she wasn't about to protest.

Still touching her wing.

"Umm'su... Danny-kun?"

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-28 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Still a little flustered, but in a better mood now that the sadness had passed, Misha hummed as she flexed her wings and furled them up again. They half-faded, half disappeared into her dress, and then it was just her again, looking sheepish but at least human. Well, human with pink hair.

Awkward silence.

"Well'su..." she said after several moments. "Since Timon-kun doesn't want the map right now'su, is there anything in the city'su you want to see'su?"

Then again, maybe he'd want to leave and go off by himself. Misha remembered what Timon had said, about needed space and that sometimes when people were sad, they wanted to be alone. The angel couldn't imagine that, but maybe Danny was that kind of person?

After all, he had yelled at her earlier to go away.

"Or, umm'su..." She played with the quilt on the bed. "If you still wanted me to go away'su..."

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-01-28 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Misha decided it would be a very bad idea to tell Danny that Dan had said something about trying to kill her. She wasn't exactly sure why -- dying was something that humans did, not angels. But angels could still be hurt, like by a demon. She wasn't sure if Dan was a demon, but he certainly sounded mean enough to be.

"Okay'su," she answered when Danny said he didn't want to go anywhere.

The angel girl did feel better when he said that he didn't want her to leave. She dearly hoped that meant he still thought she was an okay angel.

"It's late'su," she said. "Time for bed'su!" She gave him a quick hug and then climbed down off the bed -- she was short. "Goodnight'su, Danny-kun," she said as she walked to the door.

As Danny fell into a deep sleep, a dream appeared before his eyes.

It appeared to be the Nasty Burger restaurant just before it blew up. However, unlike what had really happened, Danny was tied to the boiler this time. And several metres away were his friends and family, all free, but...

But another Danny was there in front of them. Danny could tell...that wasn't a clone, or a duplicate...that was Dan, a shapeshifted Dan.

Dan was standing before his friends and family ten years ago. From his own future, they were all dead, long gone, buried under the dirt and known as nothing more than cold, chiseled statues.

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Dan didn't turn around, he pretended not to hear his younger self. He tried hard not to smile at his shock, at his pain.

Dan instead faced several of the girls and women in front of him. Being who he was, this was too good a chance to pass up. He pinned Sam and Jazz to the floor, simultaneously ripping off their clothing and left them in nothing more than bras and panties.

He prepared his legs to kick in case any of them would come and try to get him off. They were, after all, untied.

For now, though, Dan began slapping them harshly, leaving large red welts on their chests and abdomens. He kneed them in the stomach and bit them harshly, extracting only his fangs for this purpose.

Dan took Sam's spiked bracelet from the pile, undid it so it was one long leathery string of metal spikes, and began whippping it across Sam's and Jazz's skin. Long lines of blood and scratches appeared on the skin as the two girls began screaming.

How was this for trauma?

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Dan laughed inwardly at Danny's pain again. He particularly liked watching him suffer, despite being half Danny. He should feel all the pain possible, it made people stronger, tougher... and hopefully less naive.

Dan stood up, jamming his feet on the girls' breasts, arms, and then shoved his dirty sneakers into their mouths, applying all his body weight (and then some).

He moved from the women and moved to Jack Fenton and Mr. Lancer. His father and previous college roommate-slash-man "who ruined my life". His old teacher. Dan grinned and began choking them, knocking the two haphazardly to the hard ground. He could clearly hear a loud crack, probably coming from Mr. Lancer. The two men clawed at their necks, at their subordinate who was currently choking them to death.

Sam and Jazz were still on the floor, their minds broken from the horror of what had just happened. Maddie stepped forward gently.

"Danny..." she said gently, her hands on her heart. "Why are you doing this?" she cried.

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Dan shot a quick, nasty glare to the real Danny before turning his head back to Maddie.

He wrung out the necks of the two men, leaving their spines and windpipes mortally wounded as they wriggled on the floor helplessly. He stood up and glared at Maddie, his mother, the crush of his life, his protector, his classmate.

"Oh my dear mother," he said nastily in Danny's voice. He grabbed out at Maddie's arm, twisted her around, and thwacked her against the cold ground, shoving his foot at her throat. He continued choking her much in the same fashion as the men before he let go and walked over to Sam and Jazz.

He kicked with all his ghostly force at their stomachs outwards, so they ended up skidding along the earth, zooming out of view. Dan quickly piled the adults together and then jumped up, kicking Jack (who was on top) in the tailbone. Jack's spine cracked even further as the two adults beneath him gagged under his enormous weight.

Even as Danny had stopped moving, everything around them was also slowing, as though it were the end of a film reel that was slowly winding down. Even the breeze faded away into nothing, and the movements of the people froze. The only things left moving were Dan, Danny... and a new arrival to the scene.

Misha stepped lightly over the rubble of the Nasty Burger, looking around. How had she come here? The last thing she remembered was entering Danny's room at the hotel in Actua Are, because her room had seemed too big and empty and she hadn't liked it.

Yet when she entered Danny's room, she'd found his sleep restless, and had put a hand on him to calm him down -- and suddenly she was here.

"Oh'su..." she said to herself. "This is a dream'su..."

Or more appropriately, a nightmare.

The pink haired, winged girl (for indeed, her white wings trailed behind her althought she didn't remember unhiding them) looked so out of place in the setting, and hurried to Danny's side. When she saw that he had sagged against his bonds and wasn't moving, she cried out, "Danny-kun!"

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Dan turned from his position, standing up and giving Sam and Jazz a good last kick to the stomach. He glanced at Misha, his previously red eyes melting into blue so that it couldn't be told whether he was Dan or Danny.

"I'm over here, Misha!" he called to her, running towards the angel. His face was distorted with fear, using his knowledge of human emotions to his advantage. "I don't understand what's going on here...all my friends and family are over there and their..." Dan didn't finish the sentence, instead looking away.
