Lost and Found [Complete]

Character(s): Flonne, Laharl, and Ivan
Content: Guardian Flonne, accompanied by a certain Overlord, rushes to meet Ivan in the lobby of the Actua Are.
Setting: Actua Are [N9]
Time: Middle of the night!
Warnings: Laharl The usual Disgaea-related insanity

"Hurry up, Laharl!" Flonne called over her shoulder as she bounded the rest of the way down the stairs with a polite 'click' of her red heels. The elevator had taken far too long to arrive, so she had decided to use the manual method of travel -- the method which almost made her want to speak harshly to the hotel manager.

Fortuntely, her relief at reaching her journey's end was so great that she forgot her desire to pummel the person responsible for the billions of stairs she had been forced to brave. But then, Guardian Flonne would never have allowed Ivan to enter the vicinity without a proper welcome! He had been lost and alone, for one, and he was a friend! Okay, so it would be her first time meeting him, but he had seemed like a nice person over messenger. She was positive he was a kind-hearted person.

Running into the lobby, the fallen angel cut straight for the front desk so that she could better survey the room, Kerykeion loosely held in hand.

"Mr. Ivan?" She called out, manners overriding his request to drop the polite "mister".

Laharl watched her rush down the stairs irritatedly as he followed along, having trouble keeping up with her pace. He was still kinda tired, dammit. Where did she suddenly find all this energy? Why was she in such a rush? Who the hell were they meeting?!

He caught up to her in the lobby, panting a bit as he'd picked up the pace a little down the last few flights. He blinked as she called out through the lobby. What the hell was going on!?!?!

"OI! ... Who the HELL is Ivan?!" he cried at her, demanding a explanation, in an exasperated voice.

[identity profile] sparkplasma.livejournal.com 2006-12-23 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Ivan jolted awake at someone calling his name. He'd only been here for a few minutes, but the chairs in the lobby were quite comfortable, and it was the middle of the night, so he'd been starting to doze off right there. A little embarrassed, he quickly stood up and found the caller (and her friend) - not a difficult task, since the lobby was all but deserted at this hour.

"Hello. Are you Miss Flonne?" he asked, stepping closer with a smile. "Uh - I'm Ivan." He extended his right hand to her in greeting.

Absently, he wondered if she was really an angel; she didn't look particularly superhuman.
overlords_wrath: (What did you say?)

Laharl didn't enjoy being ignored, but it seemed his words had gone in one ear and out the other of his vassal. He'd prepared to get more demanding, but found his answer appear in the form of a blond haired boy, only a little taller than himself.

He felt a twitch beneath one of his eyes as he watched Flonne greet the boy enthusiastically. Okay, really now, who the hell was this guy? Not to mention, why the damn hell was Flonne getting all buddy-buddy with him? He normally didn't care about these things, but for some reason, he found himself growing increasingly annoyed as he watched.

Stepping a little closer at Flonne's introduction, he looked the slight bit up at the boy, with narrowed eyes, as he cleared his throat. "That's Lord Laharl, Supreme Overlord of the Netherworld," he corrected with annoyance at Flonne's lack of noting his position.

He then looked back to his vassal, tiredness in his eyes showing again, "So ... you dragged me all the damn way down here, why?"

[identity profile] sparkplasma.livejournal.com 2006-12-28 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Ivan was a little startled by Laharl's introduction - he seemed a little young to be any kind of lord - but he really didn't want to say anything about that after everything else he'd seen today. It made more sense than imaginary friends and silver ghosts, at least. "Pleasure to meet you too, Miss Flonne, Lord Laharl," he replied, still with his businesslike (albeit tired) smile.

He interjected before Flonne could respond to Laharl's question, though. "Eh, that's my fault, actually. I asked her to meet me here, but I didn't realize how late it was. I'm really sorry to have bothered you this late at nigh..." Before he could finish, though, he had to pause to stifle a yawn. Drat, it really was late... it was amazing he was still even this alert after such a long day.

The overlord shot a glare at the fallen angel after receiving the jab. Oh for hell's sake, he thought to himself, there she goes with that damn friendship crap. This 'Ivan' wasn't his friend... Leave it to Flonne to make friends when she'd barely been here a day.

He folded his arms against his chest, annoyance all over his face as Flonne was planning things for them without his approval. "Oi. YOU can ... I'm sleeping," he grumped.

Like hell he was waking up for breakfast. He fully intended on sleeping for as long as he could manage. He could go for one of his ten day naps about now... Too bad he had other things to be doing, but that didn't mean he couldn't sleep well into the day at least.

[identity profile] sparkplasma.livejournal.com 2007-01-01 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Ivan nodded, relieved. The idea of just going to sleep was immensely appealing right now. It had been too long and confusing of a day, and he was more than ready for it to be over.

"Heh... that sounds great," he replied, resisting the urge to rub his eyes. "Sure. I'll meet you back here in the morning." Granted, Lord Laharl's 'sleep as long as possible' idea sounded even better, but tomorrow wasn't a good day for it.

He glanced at the desk, which was inexplicably still manned in spite of the time, then back at Flonne. "Uh, good night, then," he added, though he didn't want to be the first to leave the conversation. "And sorry again for waking you."

The sounds of clanking metal fills the air as a seven foot tall suit of armor makes it's way into the lobby of the Actua Are. He makes sure to bend down extra low when coming through the door, taking extra care to keep from knocking off the meerkat that was perched on top of his helmet.

He carries a small, blond teen under one arm. A small, blond and exceedingly grumpy teen. He stops in the middle of the lobby and looks around, forgetting for the moment that his brother does, in fact, have two working legs and can stand of his own free will. "Well, here we are! Hows your leg, brother?"

[identity profile] justcallmeed.livejournal.com 2007-01-02 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
"It'd be much better---if it could REACH THE FRIGGIN GROUND!" Edward is not happy by any stretch of the means. But as long as he didn't let his automail leg dangle, it wouldn't pull on what was left of his femur and hurt him.

Ed huffs a thatch of blond bang out of his face, flailing his hands around again. "All right All right! You can put me down, now, Alphonse, everyone's watching!"

[identity profile] cowardly-hero.livejournal.com 2007-01-02 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Amused by Edwards reaction, the meerkat a top Al's head smirked. He remain stretched out on his stomach, his thin, stick like arms wrapped around the small spike punched out of the helmet he was currently resting on. His eyes were closed, although it remain obvious he knew what was going on without having to open them.

Wagging his tail, pleased with the warmth inside the building compared to the bitterness outside, he gave a relieved sigh. It was difficult not to fall asleep when he was so comfortable. A yawn escaped him as he curled his back legs in a bit.

"Quit complaining." Timon said in response to Ed. "You did enough on the way here. I didn't get one ounce of sleep thanks to you."

[identity profile] hollow-metal.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh! I'm sorry, brother." Alphonse sets Edward down carefully, trying to to jar his leg. Ed would never know it, but Al's been around him long enough to know whe his brother is in pain.

His attention was drawn downwards, and he tilted his helmet to get a better look at the small girl and is imediatly startled into a jump backwards when she lets out a scream. "No no please!" He all but squeaks, holding his hands up. His voice sounding much younger then could possibly be coming out of armor that size. "I'm not scarey! Or mean! Really! I--EH?"

It was a great feat to make an emotionless metal helmet look stunned, but she had managed it. She aparently has mood swings that could make Winry proud, at least she didn't have a wrench. "...Mindless slaves?"

[identity profile] justcallmeed.livejournal.com 2007-01-03 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Ed had just been let down and he sighs in quiet relief before he puts more weight on his flesh leg. "Thank you, Al...hey, I'm sorry for knocking you over--GAH!" He jumps back like his brother when the girl suddenly burst out screaming.

His defense stance relaxes when he hears the insanity that comes from her mouth. "Uh...what?" He looks past her to the others who were watching the spectacle. "Is she yours? Or is she...what about mindless slaves?"
overlords_wrath: (Ah! It's you!)

[personal profile] overlords_wrath 2007-01-03 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Bored, he stared past Flonne and Ivan towards the door as his sharp hearing picked up the sound of clanking before the others. His eyes widened as the large armor, with a childish voice, entered the the lobby, carrying some blonde haired loudmouth. The third voice that rang through the air made him narrow his eyes. It was a familiar voice. He opened his mouth to say something, but instead let out a surprised 'gwah' as he suddenly found Flonne behind him.

"Guh, Flonne?" he spluttered, wondering why the heck she was suddenly scared. HE was here after all. He was set to yell at her, but next thing she was out in front of him again ... acting like an idiot. He fought the urge to plant his hand on his face. The tired demon, so didn't want to deal with this right now.

"LOVE FREAK! Stop acting stupid! Outta the way!" he said as he stepped forward, in front of her, shoving her back behind him.

Closing his eyes a moment, he sighed before he reopened them, glaring at the newcomers. Marching forward, his floating scarf shifting behind him with his emotion, he brushed past the loudmouth, only tilting his blood red gaze up at him for a second, and stepped before the armor, his gaze drifting up... up... way up... and rested on the small creature lounging on his head. The sleepy overlord looked like a volcano about to explode, as he paused to inhale a breath.

"TIMON! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON DAMNIT?! What happened to Ai?! And who the HELL are these guys?!?!" Laharl yelled up at the meerkat, his antennea hair standing up on end with the blast of words. Timon had failed to mention on the journal the change of company.

(OOC: No worries Kana :) *SNUGS* It's only been a day, s'all good. Is it okay guys if we keep a posting order? So we don't lose poor Ivan and stuff? XD Flonne, Al, Ed, Laharl, Ivan, Timon sound okay? :) Just to avoid mad chaos cause this could get that way. XD)

For a second, Ivan just stared at the newcomers, at a bit of a loss. The angry blond boy was normal enough, but the guy who'd carried him in, the one wearing the impractically large suit of armor (especially for if he was as young as he sounded), seemed a little weird. Ivan wondered if he knew there was a rat on his helmet.

Flonne's adverse reaction put him a little on edge, but Lord Laharl seemed to know the guy in the armor, at least. Still, he gripped his staff a little tighter. These new guys seemed pretty okay so far, but between how mad Laharl was acting and everything else that had happened today, he didn't really feel like letting his guard down right now.

Timon's ears folded themselves shut to try and block out the girls shouting. What was wrong with her was beyond him. A curious eye peaked open to investigate the mass scene being made, which for once wasn't created by him. There was two, three blonde's, Al and himself. He hadn't the chance to spot Laharl, though. Not with 'Guardian Flonne' standing in front of him. But almost immediately after the angels name was spoken, the meerkat had at once recognized her and knew that the demon had to be near. Flonne being his vassal and all...

He sighed, allow his lid to slowly close. Whatever was going on seemed inconceivable. Honestly, mindless slaves? Where did that fit in anywhere? Oh well, this would all be settled soon. Another yawn was produced as he slowly began to drift off.

...

Suddenly the redhead's eyes snapped open as he flew at least a foot off the hollow armors head. A loud cry of surprise rang throughout the lobby in reaction to Laharl's rude awakening. Upon landing, Timon struggled to get a proper grasp of helmet. The sound of he claws clicking against the metal continued for a moment before he finally caught himself along with the cinnamon bun he had been holding.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" he shot back, just as heated as the overlord. "You almost gave me a heart attack!" The meerkat stopped to catch his breath, muttering something about causing deafness before continuing. "Ai said she wasn't feeling well and left. And these two, they were the quickest route back here. But I'm sure you already know them, especially Ed seeing as you LEAD HIM RIGHT TO ME!"

Timon hadn't forgotten Ed's wish to inflict pain upon him, or the fact that Laharl had told Edward exactly where to find him to do so. None the less, he calmed himself down about the matter and choose to properly introduce the pair.

"This is Edward and Alphonse Elric." The rodent pointed between the two, then dropped down the wrapped up treat had had brought back for the demon. "And that's your dinner. Who's the guy with the stick?"

Now well fed, Syaoran found the day's most difficult and pressing challenge yet: a place to stay for the evening. There were no hotels near Cafe Ersesat, or at least the one he ate at. Once again, the boy had used his journal to find a place to stay. The closest was Actua Are in the most southeastern corner of the city. Syaoran would not have normally minded if say... he was not in an unfamiliar city... alone... while it was growing increasingly darker and darker... He had to get there and fast.

The brunette did not reach the hotel until it was dark enough to where Syaoran had difficulty seeing the street in front of him. Luckily, Actua Are was well-lit. He found the door easily enough and carefully opened the door, only to be greeted with a rather loud scream. Something about mindless slaves...

In the center of the lobby was an extremely large and odd group of people. There were four people who seemed to be around his age, two of which seemed to be a little otherworldly, a man in a suit of armor, and a small animal which Syaoran could not identify. He was familiar with the artifacts and old buildings of Clow, not its wildlife.

Now, Syaoran was a relatively experienced traveler of the worlds but never before has he seen such a group as strange as this. He preferred to keep his distance while they continued to what seemed to be bicker. After the small animal talked (which only added to that strange factor), Syaoran stepped up to the group.

"Would any of you know where I could get a room?" He inquired, trying his best to not offend any of them in any way. Who knows how they would react to what he said or did. There was no use making enemies this early in the game.

Alphonse jumps again as a sudden screeching again sounds in front of him and he didn't realize Timone was in trouble till he heard the bong of his landing and the scraping of nails on his head.

"Ack! Timone! Are you ok?" He lifts his hands to the sides of his helmet, offering support to his tiny friend so he wouldn't slide off.

He stands up to his full hight, metal scraping against metal as he crosses his arms over his chest and looks down at Laharl. As long as the meerkat stayed with him, he would be safe. It's time's like these he's glad he doesn't have ears. All the yelling would surely be giving him a headache.

"There is no need to yell." He tries to sound stern, but his voice lacks much when it comes to intimidation. He relaxes a bit when Timone starts yelling back, he knows him at least it seems. Thats good right?

[identity profile] justcallmeed.livejournal.com 2007-01-07 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
All this screaming was giving him a headache. So much for that nice aftermeal lethargy to lull him into a dreamless sleep. "You all just need to be quiet!" Ed's voice made a very embarassing crack and he scowled, stalking over to the couch and flopping onto it and draping an arm over his eyes. "You're giving me a headache." The last comment was a sulky mutter.
overlords_wrath: (Oh O.O)

[personal profile] overlords_wrath 2007-01-08 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
The overlord glared back up at the meerkat, passing his glaring gaze for a moment to Alphonse, who Laharl very pointedly, gave a look of 'shut up' to. The short demon had no fear at all of the tall metal "man" in front of him. With ease, Laharl caught the wrapped up treat in his hand, sparing it a quick glance.

"Oi! I did not lead.. him... to... Oh." his tirade died off as he suddenly realized what he'd just caught and what Timon just said. Dinner? So ... Timon really HAD brought him something to eat? He blinked a few times back down at the wrapped up thing in his hand and then his anger seemed to deflate. If one strained to listen they might've heard the muttering of something that sounded like 'thanks'.

The wrapped bun treat was passed into his scarf, where it seemed to suddenly vanish. He'd eat it when they got back to the room. "... So ... Hhm. Ai isn't here. Guess she went off on her own then."

His red gaze then turned to glance at the boy who suddenly appeared and greeted them. Great, ANOTHER human. Laharl's patience was growing thin, and Ed wasn't helping things either. "Tch, I'll give you a lot more to complain about..." he huffed in the short blonde's direction.

Since Flonne had stepped up to dealing with the brown haired boy, the blue haired demon turned his attention back to the meerkat. The end of the red scarf around Laharl's neck moved seemingly on it's own, stretching up to offer Timon a lift down on it.

"Come on, Timon. You have some explaining to do about a certain plan and then I want to finally get some sleep, hhm!"

He really didn't care about where all these humans were going to end up. All he wanted was to hear what Timon wouldn't tell him on the journals, then get the damn hell into his bed and sleep the rest of the night.
ext_1001662: ('Let Me Explain')

[identity profile] cowardly-hero.livejournal.com 2007-01-08 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Shifting his weight, Timon continued to look down at the overlord from his secure perch. His brow rose as he listened in, surprised to find that Ai had not returned after all. Laharl must have driven her away, which was unfortunate... but at least now he would get his bed without a fight. A smirk spread itself across his lips at the further comments made by the demon.

He would love to see Ed get what deserved.

Amusing thoughts of the Alchemist running from the overlord were cut short though. It appeared they had another guest. Possibly... Kir? The redhead squinted, examining the boy for a moment in hopes to recognize him. But no traces of an abaltross could be found. The brunette appeared fairly normal. Hmpf.

Bringing his glance back to Laharl, he jumped down on command onto the extended scarf and quickly climbed up onto its owners shoulder. From there, the meerkat sat himself down comfortably and looked up to Alphonse.

"Thanks for the lift. You know, you ain't that bad, Al. If your brother weren't such a maggot muncher, I'd say we should get together more often."

Pausing on that note, the meerkat realized he had yet to explain the whole 'room situation'. What other explanation could there be for the two brothers to still be sticking around if they weren't waiting for their given room. He scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Eh, never exactly promised you two a room. Just that I'd bring you to the hotel so... your on your own now." He flashed an innocent smile in hopes of Al being understanding, which he was sure he would be.

[identity profile] lostwings-kir.livejournal.com 2007-01-08 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
With the help of his journal and the map function, Kir had found his way to the Actua Are hotel. Armed with only a name, he'd figured he'd have to ask the desk clerk how to find Timon, but at the moment there was a large group of people loitering around the lobby and making a general racket. And blocking the way to the desk.

"Hmph," he muttered, crossing his arms and waiting.
