Everyone's Invited! [complete]

Character(s): Miyabi, Kiriwar, Inu, and B. Jenet. More are welcome!
Content: Paixao's albino settled to have a drink with Kiri-kins, but later it expanded to a party...
Setting: The Cheap Prayer [F5]
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: Drunkenness.

Her wound stung a little, but it went away as soon as she spotted a shabby yet somehow welcoming tavern. Beside the medium-sized shack was a water tower with painted flames. Miyabi raised a brow at this, finding it ironically amusing. She sighed, tugging one side of her mouth.

Pushing the chipping wood door, the swordswoman's heels clicked as she calmly proceeded towards the main bar counter.

"Sure is dark," she murmured.

Illuminated eyes investigated the inside: painted walls with different art styles, almost clashing yet harmonizing; soft, exotic music played somewhere in the tavern; a hearty laugh bursted from some dark corner, and the slamming of mugs and chinging of glasses echoed here and there. What a homey and mellow feeling--something she didn't quite expect. The white-haired woman took a seat, exhaling as if she had held her breath for weeks. The seat spun, and she was slightly delighted by that; thus, swinging to the side so that her knees faced the counter's hardwood board, she leaned on an arm and began to inquire of the drinks this prayer had to offer.

[this is a long reply x_x]

Kiriwar was somehow greatly irritated with that train ride. He had to soothe Inu for most of it because of the obnoxious noise and uncomfortableness period, and decided that it wasn't truly worth it. Next time, he would settle for taking longer and just walking. Although, stopping by that place and getting peroxide, bandages, and needle and thread was interesting. He had walked out without paying, of course, because he had no money and the pipe was enough payment apparently. So while keeping Inu calm, he also stitched his stomach up with surprising precision and stopped the bleeding and chance of infection. He had too much experience stitching up the rest of his "family's" wounds, but... it was convenient, at least. He shoved the remaining stuff into a pocket as they were getting off, and placed a gloved hand on the slightly red spot on the bandages that were across his stomach.

Which was growling.

He was vaguely disapointed he had not eaten before deciding that he would come and have a drink with Urara, but... his eyes settled on an unsuspecting person on the way while leading Inu along to the square dubbed 'F5' on his map. Inu was used to blood and screaming, so he wasn't worried when he went to get a bite to eat. .... Although, he came to find that he did not like the taste of Paixaoans, as soon as he took a chunk out of the base of their neck. He spit the chunk out, rubbed the blood from his mouth off on his sleeve, and let the body land in a heap in the alley. "Sick," was muttered, before he lead his dog-like companion into the dimly lit bar a short distance off. The first word out of his mouth...

"Urrrraaaaaraaaa~"

He had not liked that thing. It had been rumbly and uncomfortable and loud. He could tell that breathing was not liking it as well. Inu had spent the most part of the train ride cowering against the man's leg and alternating between sitting and trying to lounge. Except, every time he lounged the rings on his chest would vibrate against the floor and that was ... uncomfortable, to say the least. He was happy to receive the extra attention, but it hadn't been worth the noise. And the smell. It had been sharp, everything had smelled sharp. It had hurt his nose and made him want to sneeze.

In conclusion, Inu was afraid of trains.

Once they had left the train he had glued himself to Kiriwar's leg. This was not the best way to travel and after he had been reassured that they were off of the noisy-grumbly-uncomfortable thing he slowly detached himself from the leg. The smells of this place were certainly odd. The smell of blood was still present, but wasn't as new, so that must mean that breathing's bleeding was slowing.

Then it seemed that breathing was hungry. Like a good dog, Inu waited for Kiriwar to return. He tilted his head to the side a little, as he sat back on his knees. Then Kiriwar came back, and he sounded unsatisfied, even though he had a new blood smell on him.

"Urrrraaaaaraaaa~"

That was not what Kiriwar called Gunzi.

Even without that bastard Jack, Jenet managed to have one hell of a time last night. After all, what kind of pirate would be if she depended on others to have some fun? Countless drinks were consumed, and good times where had by all, especially her. All in all, she got everything she hoped for.

By now however, the party had ended, and the usually lively pirate was sitting on one of the bar's many chairs. Arms sprawled out, head resting on the not-so-soft wooden table... She was still asleep from last night, but not much longer.

Groaning underneath her breath, Jenet slowly lifted her head and opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry, but that would be fixed in just a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, the hangover she had gotten wouldn't go away nearly as quickly. Her head was pounding, her mood was sour, and going outside would probably make her eyes bleed.

Yep, she was hungover alright. At least it wasn’t as bad as that time she and Dante had those Green Dragons though.

That was just pure hell.

Holding her head, Jenet cursed a couple of times before looking around. Still at the bar eh…? Well, that was okay, she didn’t want any strange guys carrying her around doing who knows what and touching things they shouldn’t have.

The pirate tried to get up, but got dizzy as soon as she was back on her feet, causing her to sit back down. “Shite, bad idea.” Slamming her hand down the table, Jenet knew what would make her better. “Oy, bartender, get me some water, NOW.”

Back to cursing and holding her head she went.

Hungover or not, Jenet was still a customer, and she still had some money, which she had pilfered from some of drunkards the day before.

If the man had animal ears, they would've flicked at the name and he would've given an odd look. However, Kiriwar simply let his fanged grin grow, before he glanced back at Inu. "C'mon, Inu... eh?" being around the doggish young man seemed to tune the Punisher in well. Turning a little to face the white-haired man on his hands and knees, Kiri tilted his head. "Gunzi's comin' soon. He's aaaaall the way across the city. Gotta get here, first. Once he does though, you're gettin' a walk." He knew Inu liked Gunzi's walks. ... However that was possible.

With that assured, he turned to look back at the albino and returned the grin there. "Kiri-kins is quite sorry, Urara. Although he'll say his train ride was far from enjoyable," stepping in--though making sure Inu didn't get smacked by the door or something--his army boots thunked the floor, heavy but somehow a dull and muffled noise. If Miyabi was satisfied in his appearances, Kiriwar was quite satisfied as well as his green eyes locked onto the white haired woman. Mm, well then. This would be an interesting day.

Although his eyes did go over towards Jenet as he heard the sharp noise, and doubted that helped being hungover if she was.

Inu trailed after Kiriwar, having perked briefly at both the fist slamming (it sounded familiar, but then it had been a woman's voice) and then at the "Kiri-kins~ You're finally here~ Urara was becoming oh-so-lonely. ♥" (which was so unfamiliar he almost stopped moving). Then Kiriwar spoke to him again (walks! He liked walks!) and all was good.

There were lots of new smells here as well. He was more interested in the one who was talking to breathing. She wasn't giggling (voice was all wrong and she smelled all wrong and she didn't giggle). She didn't quite smell like baking so much as ... spice? And there was something distinctly different about how women smelled, which he didn't quite 'get', but he knew.

"Here's your water, ma'm." said the bartender, leaving her a tall glass of it, which she drank in a matter of moments. The bartender, surprised, took back the now empty glass and looked at the hungover pirate. "Shall I go get you some more?"

"Yeah! And make it snappy will ya?" Jenet yelled once again, to which the bartender just nodded his head and off to fulfill her demand.

The water was nice, but what Jenet really wanted was aspirin, or something to make the goddamn headache go away. It wasn't helping her that several loud people decided to speak up. Well, it was mostly the hangover's fault that everything she had was causing her more irritation.

But still, if they didn't shut up, she would have to give everybody in there a piece of her mind…

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Dark green eyes turned briefly and the Japanese-born Montenegran tilted his head a little to observe the blonde woman. Kiriwar shook his head after this, no longer having much interest as he approached the seat that was patted for him. Reaching into a pocket, he pulled out his journal and set it down on the table before he pulled out the baggy that had the peroxide, bandages, and needle stuck into the roll of thread. "You mentioned getting peroxide, eh?" he slid this in front of the albino before he plopped into the seat.

Once seated, he let his pipe rest up against his leg, though tapped it on the ground. "C'mere, Inu. Sorry 'bout that train ride, know you hated it." He held his hand out towards the dog-minded human, offering up some attention to make up for dragging him onto that damned noisy train.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
He decided, as much as he ever decided anything, to shut out the other noises and smells. For him there was really only the moment anyway, any idea that something may happen never stuck in his mind for that long. He did not expect and therefore was not disappointed and did not fear. At least, he did not fear the unfamiliar.

"C'mere Inu. Sorry 'bout that train ride, know you hated it."

That accompanied the tap of Mitsuko-san on the ground. That was always a good sound, because that meant there wouldn't be any screaming and gushing and slurping (not that he minded those noises, but that always meant everything was going to be chaotic and messy and he would not get patted on the head for a long time). Inu slunk over to Kiriwar, low to the ground, and bumped his face against the outstretched hand.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Just like before, the bartender arrived with Jenet's water, which she consumed half of in no time at all. Setting the glass down and closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. Water was fine and all, but getting something to eat would be even better.

"Hey! I heard the food here was pretty damn good." Jenet commented.

"You've heard correctly, ma'm."

"Good, bring me yer menu then!”

"Right away." Said the bartender, going through a door in the back.

While she waited, Jenet drank some more of her water and looked over her shoulder, noticing another woman looking at her. Already annoyed and irritated, she spoke up and said, "What? You got something to say to me?"

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Kiriwar was about to say something about helping her if the gash was too much a trouble, he could give her a hand. Too much expertise was in it on his behalf. However, the woman was speaking now to Urara and his eyes turned towards her again. He rested his arm on the back of his chair, his fingertips skimming over Inu's temple, brushing white hair back idly while he seemed to calmly be petting the younger man. Even if he got a few weird looks for it, Kiri wasn't in the slightest bit perturbed.

He grinned wolfishly at hearing Miyabi's words to the blonde at the bar, his throat echoing a deep chuckle as he ran dark fingers through white hair. "Oughta be good, Inu." He said calmly down to him, and only him, knowing he'd hear him although uncaring if he understood what he was talking about. He seemed uncaring of the women near them, and more interested in getting his attention to make up for the train ride. Shifting his arm off the back of his chair, he glanced down at Inu and put both hands on top of his head, like someone would when rubbing an animal's ears, except was scratching and running his fingers through white, very human hair.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
They were so loud. Not that anyone was ever quiet, but the one female voice was much angrier than the other. She was the one who was demanding something or other. Or accusing. Both tones Inu knew rather well. He had visibly winced when the irritated voice had said "What? You got something to say to me?" There was some sharpness he didn't appreciate.

However, all thoughts of other people's voices promptly vanished as he was given attention again. If anyone could spoil Inu, it would be through this method. The doglike human practically melted into Kiriwar's leg and the chair, moving closer as he was given more attention. The petting made him give a happy 'sigh', which was really no more than an inhale and a slow exhale, and he showed his appreciation but rubbing against Kiriwar's leg. This was why life was worth living.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
Jenet scoffed as she let head rest on the palm of her right hand. "You're the one's who's going to need the aspirin if you keep talking like that." Did they really have aspirin here? Wait, that wasn't important right now, although she did make a mental note to ask the bartender about it later.

Back to the confrontation at hand...

The pirate was about to give the broad a piece of her mind. At least, she would've if she hadn't noticed the most bizarre thing ever: a man (at least, she thought it was a guy) with white hair wearing nothing but bondage gear, a blindfold, and with really nasty cross-shaped scar on his chest. He was sitting next to another guy, who looked weird in his own right, but at least he didn't have rings on his chest... oh god.

"W-What... what the hell is THAT?!" Jenet shouted, pointing at the white-haired man. She’d seen a lot of weird things, but this one blew them all out of the water, but not in a good way. Hell, he even made the Prince seem… normal.

"WHAT THE HELL BLODDY IS THAT?!" she repeated, obviously disturbed at what she was looking at.

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Kiriwar gave Inu what could be considered a smile out of the fanged, nearly wolfish appearing man as he rubbed against his leg, continuing to give him attention as anyone would give to the family's beloved pet. Well, to him he was the family's beloved pet. Kiri had gone well past the concept Inu was human, he knew it like everyone might've, but he knew his mindset was not that of a human's in any way. Maybe a somewhat smart dog, but otherwise not near a human level. So, he treated him as one would a dog. "G'boy," he said calmly, before he flinched at hearing the blonde woman.

... wait, what?

His head snapped up so fast it popped a little, green eyes widening before narrowing before he showed his teeth like an animal would defending something of theirs. "What did you just say?" he asked, before she obviously repeated it. One hand rested still on Inu's head, the other one going for Mitsuko-san with his teeth still bared. "Inu is not a that, bitch." He bristled, metaphorically and somehow literally, although seemed to be trying to behave himself.

But no one, and we mean no one, insults or messes with his dog.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It was good that Kiriwar accepted Inu as not human. If someone were to treat him otherwise, Inu would be very much confused. He himself had gone past the point of forward concept and human logic. There was nothing more important than pleasure and pain for Inu anymore. At the moment he was indulging, because these moments of overindulgence were rather rare.

Then the loud noises started. Inu could feel the tenseness in Kiriwar's hand, but he didn't need to feel that to know something was up. The words didn't make so much sense to him. But it was angry and accusing and loud. Inu sank down to the floor more, ducking his head, just in case anything came flying his way. He looked a bit like a dog that had been threatened with a newspaper or some other form of physical violence.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-10-31 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I'm only hungover, not drunk." She said, responding to the broad's earlier remark. "There's a big difference!" As far as Jenet was concerned, one makes you act like a fool, while the other made it so that every little thing would piss you off.

Anyways, she focused her attention back on the bizarre guys... "Inu? What kind of name is that?” A weird name for an ever weirder guy, how fitting. “Is he your prisoner or something?" She then noticed Inu… lowering his head and body closer to the floor. He just kept getting weirder and weirder for her.

“Hey, you, what are you doing?”

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-10-31 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
The wolfish man continued to show his sharp teeth to the pirate at the bar, however Inu ducking down and the woman pointing it out caused more important things. Although he was sort of itching for a fight, he wasn't about to fight someone he hadn't seen in action--woman or not, they could be surprising, Urara said she knew how to use a sword--there was also the fact he'd just gotten out of a fight with Shiki. Inu was his main concern at this moment. "Oi, Inu. Up," he patted at his knees, as though one would when attempting to summon an animal to their lap. Whether this would seem strange to Jenet or not, Kiri did not care.

"Don't worry about that twat," he muttered under his breath to him, grinning a little as he lowered a hand on top of his head. "Urara can take care of her, neh?" Of course, after she did, Kirwar was going to request in a rather... demanding manner to see her stomach, since he took note of the wince.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-10-31 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
So loud. Demanding too. Inu didn't like demanding. The Man was demanding. Breathing and giggling were nice. Cinnamony could be nice too, but he didn't know. She was weird. She smelled funny. Her voice wasn't as grating. Not like the Man-Woman.

He had almost completely slunk down to the floor when breathing said something. It wasn't the words so much that perked his interest, but the tone of voice and the dull thump of hands on cloth over skin. It was a beckoning, and who was he to refuse to go? Still low to the ground, he edged over as close to Kiriwar as he could, before raising up and placing his arms on the Punisher's knees. Then his head followed, plunking down on Kiriwar's knee.

A sigh. Well, at least the petting was nice. Breathing was being nice, and maybe if he was really lucky, the Man-Woman would be quiet.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-11-03 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Scaring... him?" He did seem to be frightened, that, and several of the other customers where looking at her, wondering why she was yelling so much. Okay, maybe she could tone it down a bit. "Bah... whatever. Just gimme those." Taking the remaing strip of aspiring from the woman's hand, Jenet was quick opening it and swallowing the pills with the remaining water in her glass.

Ah... that felt good.

"Uh, thanks." she said to other woman, being reminded about something... "Ya got a name I can call you or something?"

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-11-04 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Blowing some air at white hair as things finally calmed, Kiriwar let his attention go from Mitsuko-san and wanting to pound her into the blonde's head to the white-haired dog-like individual now resting on his knees. His fingers calmly returned to going through his hair, nails scratching slightly at his scalp. It was strange he was being so nice, but Kiri really didn't feel like having a panicking Inu scurrying around for a place to hide. He let his green eyes slide to the corners somewhat to look at the two women, as the truce seemed to be met with aspirin.

"S'gonna be a little quieter, Inu," Kiri seemed to assure, leaning his head closer to the dog-like human as one would with an actual animal to try and keep them calm. Moving one of his hands to the back of his head, he started working his fingers here against his scalp a little. The Punisher knew the right spots on his dog, he'd been around him long enough for it.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-11-05 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. See. That was good. Inu could forget everything else (which he often did when he got petted) and just enjoy. He turned his head a little, shifting closer to Kiriwar. Clearly he was aprpeciative, and had he been a real dog his tail would be wagging. Had he been a cat he would have been purring.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"Miss Lilac...?" Huh, that was the first time she'd ever been called that. It suited her though, what with the purple dress she had on. She kinda liked it too. Could probably pass for a good alias if she ever got in trouble. But until that time came...

"Just call me Jenet, okay?" Well, that took care of introductions, as far as those two were concerned. “So uh… where’re you from? And how did you get here?”

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-11-12 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
... behave? Kiriwar never behaved. Frowning at the white-haired woman at the look, he scratched and rubbed at the top of Inu's own white-haired head. If he were required to behave, he would find a distraction for himself. Inu was the best he could come up with, because Gunzi wasn't around, and he felt that if he kept the dog-like human calm... well, they'd have less troubles.

"Jenet?" the large man calmly said, leaning back from Inu as he continued his 'praise' for the bloodhound. If he were going to behave, then actual names had to be presented, he decided. "Kiriwar. Already said his name," he said idly, leaning against his chair and letting his pipe lean up against his outer thigh, going up from the floor to rest against his shoulder in the end.

[identity profile] permitting.livejournal.com 2006-11-12 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. Inu sighed, breathing in slowly. The praise was deeply appreciated and he continued to squish himself closer to Kiriwar. This was Inu being cuddly, and he did move on the side of caution. Had he been outright cuddling, the dog-minded human would have been draped all over. As it was he was getting there, nose edging closer and closer to Kiriwar's side.

[identity profile] pirate-knight.livejournal.com 2006-11-16 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, yeah... Nice to meet ya, I guess."

She couldn't help but glance back at the other man. The white hair reminded her of Dante, and she wondered what he and the Prince were doing right about now. Going back to "Inu", question after question popped into Jenet's still-hungover head. Why did he have a blindfold? Where did he get that nasty scar from? And why did he look like he just robbed every Hot Topic store in existence?

As much as Jenet wanted to know, the pirate figured that knowing the answers to those would only disturb and confound her more.

"So, uh..." Might as well and attempt to make some conversation with the weirdos. "Where are you two blokes from?"

[identity profile] mikotsuhartsu.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mm," was Kiriwar's response to the 'nice to meet,' although it could be taken as agreement or general not-in-the-mood. Either was suitable towards the man, but he wasn't about to be a complete bastard after Urara told him to at least behave. Eventually, as Inu cuddled closer, the tall man simply rested one of his arms over his back lazily, though the other hand continued the attention and praise.

There was a question, and one he actually didn't expect. He had really been waiting for her to start going on and on about Inu and his general strangeness to those not amongst AREA:RAY. "Japan," he stated calmly, before green eyes went up towards the blonde again. "Toshima if you want somethin' exact. Place called AREA:RAY." He gave her a sort of curious look, brows quirking a little and asking where she was from. Partially he didn't care, but he was also kind of curious either way.
