The More Subtile Things in the World [Complete]

Character(s): Roxas, Dib
Content: Roxas and Dib attempt to observe things from afar but fail, and are brought into the Nobody fiasco.
Setting: Haja o Que Houver [F4]
Time: Around noon
Warnings: None [just a lot of typos >>;]

It had only been several hours ago that Roxas arrived at Paixao, met Demyx, and brought Dib to Haja o Que Houver. Out of the distress caused by various happening, the blonde had been unable to sleep serenely. Instead, he had been lying underneath the sheet of the bed in the hotel room with his hands behind his head for several hours, musing over the fact that Organization XIII probably wanted to kill him... because he took actions that made him seem like a traitor. Nonetheless, Roxas couldn't help but want to be a part of something he didn't want to be a part of two days ago.

Why were things like that? Why couldn't he feel content with what he had? Why did feel the need for more when there was nothing in the world that he really deserved? Nobodies didn't deserve anything. They were just... Nobody.

That moment the former Number XIII thought of a complete new concept: what if he had a heart? It would defy the definition of a Nobody but anything was possibly, wasn't it? After all-- he already defied by definition of a Nobody simply by having no memories he had no real of his other self. Sora...

He half expected the booming activity and lively music to interrupt his thoughts, or maybe even the other boy that he teleported along with him. But there was no booming activity and lively music coming from downstairs. But there were sounds nearby. Maybe it was Dib? Or maybe someone else? Half-reluctantly, the boy slowly dragged himself out of bed and put on his Organization jacket. He found a rectangular device nearby and put that in the pocket of his jacket, then, walked out to see what the source of the sound was.

Three Dusks were immediately killed by the Samurai, cloven in two in a heartbeat. Three others that had floated up to the balcony managed to dodge the attacks, using their uncanny ability to stretch and contort to their advantage as they bent and twisted away from the blades. A fourth had an arm neatly sliced off, leaving it twitching and spasming on the floor. Those that survived quickly flew several feet higher to regroup and determine the next course of action; the Dusk are mindless, but they are not stupid.

Numbers. Sheer numbers. The Dusk "knew" that was their advantage in battle, and so at some unseen signal they all descended on one of the Samurai, reaching out with their tentacle-like arms to trap and ensnare it.

Elsewhere in the room, Dusk were mown down by Roxas's keyblade. Still, despite the obvious disparity in power, they continued to advance. Unless they were told otherwise, it was all they could do. One lucky one managed to curve over Roxas's head without getting immediately sliced in half, and it lashed out in an attack from behind.
