Carbuncle's New Groove! Er... Clothes!
Character(s): Kronk, Beast Boy, and Carbuncle
Content: After finding some clothes for Carbuncle, the group embarks on new adventures. Nobodies provide adventure sooner than planned.
Setting: Cid's Shop
Time: Morning? Or something?
Warnings: Carbuncle is cute.
The trip to Cid's shop was a complete success. Kronk and Beast Boy had managed to find a suitable outfit for Carbuncle and the shopkeeper accepted their money without any problems. Kronk had even found himself a few items, including a change of clothes for later and some snack food to hold them off until they could find a better meal. He packed his purchases into a backpack that he'd found on the racks, explaining to the others that it would come in handy.
Now the three of them were leaving the store, and Kronk was divying up some of the treats he'd purchased, most of which consisted of food that was good to take on camping trips. "I think the exchange rate here must be pretty favorable to my currency, he commented as he pulled out a few small packages. "They didn't ask much for these... Hm... Let's see, I've got some jerky here..." he started to hand it off to Beast Boy, then thought better of it and tucked the package under his arm for a moment, "I'll save that for me and Carbuncle, since you're a vegetarian... How about a granola bar? They've got chocolate chips in them! Or some trail mix... That can be pretty good when you're camping. Er... Not that we're camping at the moment."

Jing had noted earlier there had been a lot of people searching for companions and acquaintances, himself being no exception. He had not heard too many success stories in attempts to contact those missing however there was still hope, considering both Gar and Kovu had been able to get in contact with someone familiar to them. Still, the ratios seemed to dampen the hopes that Jing would be able to find Kir. Although he did not display it outwardly, he envied those who had been able to contact someone they knew. Now that the battle was over, his mind now wandered, wondering if his partner was doing well. Certainly the assault of creatures couldn’t have proven well for Kir if he was here.
Hopefully he could attempt a form of search once they found a place to settle down. Or maybe he could post on the message boards now that he had the time? With any luck, someone could have seen Kir – and besides, he could always use the map to find a place to lay low for a small bit. After Gar spoke of Carbuncle, he took out his journal from the pouch in order to post.
His eyes wandered down the new posts, checking incase maybe someone had posted about the black albatross. While he did not get any references to the bird, one post in particular caught his interest. The post most certainly sounded like his partner yet he could not exactly tell by the post itself. However, instinct played a role in helping him decide whether to post a reply or not, and in the end he had sent a simple message.
The reply was almost instant – and in itself was like a lucky gift. His partner was definitely here, that was certain, and now some of the fears from earlier could be laid to rest. There was much joy to be had over this occasion but he only displayed as much as a smile in front of the group as he exchanged messages with Kir. Through the messages, they planned to meet near the train station at Vanaheim – which Jing consented to despite knowing this may halt his other plans.
While he had been listening to the words Gar was saying, he did not reply automatically. It took him several moments to finish up the ‘conversation’ with Kir before glancing upward to respond. “I’d take you up on your offer but it seems I’ve been arranged for an appointment, myself.”
Despite the altered plans, he certainly hadn’t forgotten his promise to Kovu – and his next comment was directed towards the lion. “You can go with them if you want – I’ll probably be able to catch up within a few hours.”
((OOC: I think I might have gone a little overboard~. Sorry. -shot- ))
