Carbuncle's New Groove! Er... Clothes!
Character(s): Kronk, Beast Boy, and Carbuncle
Content: After finding some clothes for Carbuncle, the group embarks on new adventures. Nobodies provide adventure sooner than planned.
Setting: Cid's Shop
Time: Morning? Or something?
Warnings: Carbuncle is cute.
The trip to Cid's shop was a complete success. Kronk and Beast Boy had managed to find a suitable outfit for Carbuncle and the shopkeeper accepted their money without any problems. Kronk had even found himself a few items, including a change of clothes for later and some snack food to hold them off until they could find a better meal. He packed his purchases into a backpack that he'd found on the racks, explaining to the others that it would come in handy.
Now the three of them were leaving the store, and Kronk was divying up some of the treats he'd purchased, most of which consisted of food that was good to take on camping trips. "I think the exchange rate here must be pretty favorable to my currency, he commented as he pulled out a few small packages. "They didn't ask much for these... Hm... Let's see, I've got some jerky here..." he started to hand it off to Beast Boy, then thought better of it and tucked the package under his arm for a moment, "I'll save that for me and Carbuncle, since you're a vegetarian... How about a granola bar? They've got chocolate chips in them! Or some trail mix... That can be pretty good when you're camping. Er... Not that we're camping at the moment."

Now, these creatures didn’t exactly seem like the most organized bunch, so Jing has his doubts that they were conspiring. If anything, there were probably people in the middle of the circle those creatures were starting to form. As much as Jing’s common sense attempted to push him to continue seeking shelter, it could not beat the boy’s sense of heroism. Assuming that there were people there, he quickened his running pace in order to catch up. However, as soon as he reached within viewing range of the two, one of the creatures decided it was perfect time to attack the boy.
It moved to swipe furiously at the young boy but managed instead to get a good amount of orange cloth in its face. In confusion due to the feeling of the cloth on top of it, it flailed until being quickly eliminated upon being impaled by Jing’s blade. To the boy’s surprise, the creature seemed to puff into nothingness once defeated but he did not have much time to think about this. He found himself hopping a few times backwards and grabbing the oversized orange coat to use on two others as they came after him. As much as he would like to make some sort of joke towards Kovu or even check if the lion had caught up, he was occupied by the duo of white creatures.
He managed to duck as the creatures swirled quickly towards him the first time, then quickly threw the whole coat over the duo as a diversion tactic. It seemed to work well as once again, the creatures messed with the remains of his coat, cutting the fabric so that they could get out. As soon as he could get up completely, he quickly swiped at the creatures under the fabric with the sharp end of the blade. They disappeared again, leaving his coat in unevenly cut pieces on the ground.
Jing seemed relatively unfazed by the destruction of his coat - instead glancing around quickly to make sure Kovu was still with him before making an attempt to catch up to the two people he had seen up ahead. If they were there at this point.
