Carbuncle's New Groove! Er... Clothes!
Character(s): Kronk, Beast Boy, and Carbuncle
Content: After finding some clothes for Carbuncle, the group embarks on new adventures. Nobodies provide adventure sooner than planned.
Setting: Cid's Shop
Time: Morning? Or something?
Warnings: Carbuncle is cute.
The trip to Cid's shop was a complete success. Kronk and Beast Boy had managed to find a suitable outfit for Carbuncle and the shopkeeper accepted their money without any problems. Kronk had even found himself a few items, including a change of clothes for later and some snack food to hold them off until they could find a better meal. He packed his purchases into a backpack that he'd found on the racks, explaining to the others that it would come in handy.
Now the three of them were leaving the store, and Kronk was divying up some of the treats he'd purchased, most of which consisted of food that was good to take on camping trips. "I think the exchange rate here must be pretty favorable to my currency, he commented as he pulled out a few small packages. "They didn't ask much for these... Hm... Let's see, I've got some jerky here..." he started to hand it off to Beast Boy, then thought better of it and tucked the package under his arm for a moment, "I'll save that for me and Carbuncle, since you're a vegetarian... How about a granola bar? They've got chocolate chips in them! Or some trail mix... That can be pretty good when you're camping. Er... Not that we're camping at the moment."

He still had Yzma's knife, having decided not to trade it in quite yet. He pulled it out of the backpack as he zipped it back up, frowning as he considered his options.
And then he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye, and turned to see a familiar figure in red standing on his shoulder. "Do it!" the shoulder devil told him, pointing his pitchfork at the creatures dramatically. "You know you want to kick some serious ass!"
"Must you use such a crude expression?" came another voice from his other shoulder, and Kronk glanced over to see the shoulder devil's counterpart standing there looking annoyed.
"Well, what do you think I should do?" Kronk asked the shoulder angel, since he'd already heard the other's suggestion. It was a good time for his consciences to show up! He definitely had a dilemma. "He says I should, you know..."
The shoulder angel drew himself up and adopted a serene expression. "Is it not right for the strong to defend the weak from harm?"
"So you say he should kick some ass too?" came a voice from the other side of Kronk's head.
The shoulder angel scowled, seeming to deflate slightly. "Well... Essentially, I suppose. Though I prefer the term 'smite the wicked'."
The large man nodded slowly, unable to escape from the logic of using violence in this particular situation. It couldn't be a wrong thing to do if ~both~ of his shoulder consciences approved it. They rarely agreed on anything unless it was important. With this in mind, he lifted the dagger and glanced over at Beast Boy. "Whatever happens, I've got your back."
