Dysfunctional Family Reunion [closed]

Character(s): Ein, Faye Valentine, and Spike Spiegel
Content: Ein and Faye wait for Spike to get his lazy ass over to the Central Station.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Wednesday2
Warnings: Cursing, probably.

Ein pouted for a little after Faye took his journal, but he was never one to hold a grudge for long. He sat on the ground and waited, legs sprawled ahead of him, as Faye made contact with Spike. Soon his mind began to wander, as did his eyes. Hey, check out that kid's balloon... cool... With a grunt, Ein staggered to his feet and meandered a short distance away to examine a small statue of a unicorn. I wonder if these actually exist, too... he wondered. After all, if aliens were real then maybe unicorns and griffons and the like were equally existant.

Out of the corner of his eye, Ein saw a flash of something luminous and turned just in time to see the small creature dart behind a building. What was that?! He caught a whiff of its scent; it was light and airy and reminded him of a sunny day. His first instinct was to chase after it, but after a few steps he remembered what he was supposed to be doing and turned to rejoin Faye. "Can I have my jounal back?" he asked, a hint of a whine in his voice. This was getting boring - Ein didn't like waiting. He liked doing. And currently he wasn't doing anything, which was beginning to grate his nerves.

Yays. So now all they had to do was wait, right? That wasn't so hard. Ein picked up his journal and began fooling around with the stylus some more. It was quickly becoming his favorite part; it was fun to see what he could do with these new hands of his. But that short attention span won out again, and he began to wander a bit. Sniffing curiously, Ein began to examine a street vendor - a bit too closely, and after a few minutes she chased him off with dire warnings against stealing any of her goods.

Grinning a bit from the mini-adventure, Ein jogged back to Faye. He wasn't going to stray far, especially in a big, strange environment like this. Plopping down on the ground again, he leaned back on his hands and watched the world pass by.

Minutes passed.

An hour.

Yaaaaawn. Ein's mouth streched open to reveal his sharp canines. He tried scratching his ear with his hind leg, but quickly found out that didn't work as well as it used to. But lo! He had much more flexible shoulders now, and the problem was solved. The canine hominid yawned again, longer, and stretched out against the sun-baked cobblestones. Mmmmm, so warm... Ein's chocolate-colored eyes slowly closed, and in minutes he was snoring as he lay sprawled on the ground.
