Dysfunctional Family Reunion [closed]

Character(s): Ein, Faye Valentine, and Spike Spiegel
Content: Ein and Faye wait for Spike to get his lazy ass over to the Central Station.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Wednesday2
Warnings: Cursing, probably.

Ein pouted for a little after Faye took his journal, but he was never one to hold a grudge for long. He sat on the ground and waited, legs sprawled ahead of him, as Faye made contact with Spike. Soon his mind began to wander, as did his eyes. Hey, check out that kid's balloon... cool... With a grunt, Ein staggered to his feet and meandered a short distance away to examine a small statue of a unicorn. I wonder if these actually exist, too... he wondered. After all, if aliens were real then maybe unicorns and griffons and the like were equally existant.

Out of the corner of his eye, Ein saw a flash of something luminous and turned just in time to see the small creature dart behind a building. What was that?! He caught a whiff of its scent; it was light and airy and reminded him of a sunny day. His first instinct was to chase after it, but after a few steps he remembered what he was supposed to be doing and turned to rejoin Faye. "Can I have my jounal back?" he asked, a hint of a whine in his voice. This was getting boring - Ein didn't like waiting. He liked doing. And currently he wasn't doing anything, which was beginning to grate his nerves.

Faye was oblivious to Ein wandering off as she typed on the journal situated on her lap. Her face was stuck in a scowl, as if she were slowly ripping a piece of heavy tape from her skin. Well, it kind of felt like that, talking to Spike. Or pulling a tooth. "Ass," she hissed to herself for the fifth time since their conversation started. For some reason she had been expecting something else.

Once it seemed he was coming, Faye looked at Ein dully before handing him his journal. "Knock yourself out. He'll be here, or so he says. Though, you know him..." Faye rose to her feet, stretching her arms over her head. She wondered if she should beat Spike over the head with her journal, hit him with her fists, or claw his eyes out with her nails.

All options seemed far too nice for him.

Every ten minutes, the vein in Faye's neck throbbed a little more violently. When a full hour passed, she slammed her fists down on the ground she was sitting on almost like a toddler. Well, a toddler with a very color vocabulary.

"That damn bastard! I should have fucking KNOWN he wouldn't show! How DARE he?!" The violet haired woman continued to curse incoherently, damning Spike's hair, shoes, wardrobe, and parents. "Damn accident while drunk, I bet!" she finished ten minutes later, her voice just the slightest bit strained from her ranting. Panting, she looked at Ein.

Oh god. She was stuck with him. She was going to be stuck with him until they found Ed.

Groaning, Faye's face fell into her hands.

Faye peered at Ein through her fingers. Without moving her hands away from her face, she muttered, "Do you THINK he's coming?" The answer was no. He would have been there by now. Maybe he died. Again. Or maybe he never was around at all? Faye's lip twitched. Yep. She was insane, after all. Perhaps she just imagined Spike was in this place.

She watched as Ein scooted closer. Dumb dog. Human. Dog-human. She sighed. "Guess we go find Ed now."

Maybe then she could ditch them and find someone useful.

Pushing herself to her feet, Faye dusted herself off and rubbed her temples. Too little alcohol in her. Once she found the brat she could find something to drink.

Water? What water?

"Stop that," Faye hissed, Ein's dog-like behavior just asking to cause a scene. "Do you know where Ed is?" She had only really heard about the girl being around.

"UGH!" Faye huffed, and plopped down on the ground, harshly opening the small computer and typing quickly. "You're useless! Be thankful I'm so kind, mutt."

Chewing on her lip for a moment, Faye nodded. "I'm just going to make a post on the message board. We can chat or whatever once we actually find her." Actually, Faye just wasn't looking forward to repeating what happened with Spike. Her head throbbed just thinking about it.

Faye felt a violent pulsing in her head and grit her teeth slowly.

She was going to kill something. She looked at Ein, replying stiffly, "Yes. More waiting." Damn mutt. Damn Spike. Damn everything!

"... unless you've got some bright idea," she added, clenching her hands into fists slowly. She would love to strangle something right now.
