The Angel and the Eyepatch [COMPLETE]
Character(s): Nill, Badou, NPCs. Possibly Haine later on.
Content: After communicating with Badou, Nill sets up a meeting with the redhead at Café Ersesat where they will wait until Haine shows up.
Setting: Muspelheim's buzzing Café Ersesat.
Time: Mid-afternoon, Sunday.
Warnings: None.
Within the warm brown and green colors of the quickly-moving café, Nill was seated at a cushioned chair by a wide window. It was clear and sunny outside, not to mention a little hot. She would remove her jersey were it not for the necessity to hide them. Thankfully, her icy fruit juice cooled her to some extent.
Peter had stayed with her for no more than half an hour until he received a "call" on his mobile-journal. He was a working man after all. Nill distressfully pouted when he got up to leave, but he promised he'd return by 6:30 PM that evening. He asked a waitress to look over the little girl while he was away. As if accepting an order from the manager himself, she obliged and positioned herself nearby. Grabbing his coat and taking his brieface, Peter smiled warmly at the silent Nill. "I'll be back. Stay here and enjoy Café Ersesat!" he said as he stepped out the open doors.
The waitress approached Nill as Peter left. "Nill, right? You're very cute. I wouldn't be able to restrain myself from helping you either! Is there anything else you'd like from the menu?"
Holding up her hands, Nill shook her head shyly and pointed to her food. She still had half a sandwich and her juice wasn't finished either. The waitress, Clarissa as her name tag indicated, laughed embarassedly. "Oh! Sorry, well, I'll leave you to your lunch. Enjoy!" She stepped away and attended other customers in the same aisle.

no subject
hopefully not loosing his mind.)Half an hour into the show, Nill was genuinely enjoying the ambience. The gypsy-esque group perfoming was not dissapointing. Lively, acoustic songs and more folkloric music were played. The Orphan of the Lost Age was not used to listening to such music back at home; what she heard was usually violent and loud--completely opposite of the soothing tunes resonating within the café.
As she drew her glass of water to her lips, Peter finally took at seat at her table. Smiling, he inquired their feelings. Nill smiled, nodding enthusiastically. "It's very nice!"
"Oh, I'm glad to hear that. Well, I just spoke to my brother," he said, straightening his shirt collar. "I doubt you two had a place to stay so I asked whether it was possible to host you for a few nights. I hope you don't mind! I will take you to the mansion in a bit as it is quite late, and I'm sure you're tired. Until then, please enjoy the show."
He nodded at Badou, standing, and soon dissapeared behind swinging doors.
(hooray for posting in school because omfg I have no time otherwise XOXO)
Looking over at Nill, Badou was about to ask her something before hesitating- she looked like was enjoying the show immensely, and he felt kinda bad if he distracted her from this little pleasure that couldn't be found where they came from.
Pulling out his journal again, he turned his attention to it instead, fiddling with the options onscreen. After a bit of digging around in the sea of posts from random people, he came across one of Haine's again, leaving a comment on it asking where he was. That done, he closed up the little device, stuffing it back into his pocket and trying to block out his growing need for another smoke by concentrating on his surroundings instead.
Re: (Yaaay. Dx)
The restaurant's clock read 10:05 PM. The tables were more vacant than they were two hours ago. Most people had left looking sleepy. A curfew, perhaps? This place didn't seem to thrive with night life, but that did not bother Nill as she herself began to fall under a sleep spell.
She looked at Badou, eyes half-open. He didn't look sleepy...more like bored and agitated. She deduced he didn't fancy the place (and would rather be outside with a cigarette). She frowned a little, concerned. "Are you unhappy?"
There was still time for the redhead to answer before Peter would step out from a corner, suitcase in hand. He gasped at Nill's drowsy face. Poor thing! He stepped up to the table and smile compassionately.
"Sorry for taking so long! We had bills to check. You look so sleepy, Nill! That just means I'll have to bring you to the manor as quick as possible, hmm? Hehe, well, follow me."
He brought them outside. Some stores had closed or were closing for the night. The blonde-haired girl watched bemusingly; back "home" stores opened at this hour. Somewhere between thoughts, the young host pulled out a...a....carriage-like thing. It was smaller than a carriage and looked more like a booth with wheels than a carriage. Whatever it was, it looked odd.
As if the stranger were not alienated by the contraption, Peter swept a hand towards what looked like seats. "Hop in! This is my special riksha. I use it when I want to get around faster or have company."
Nill stared blankly at the riksha. It was attached to a nice-looking bike, and she saw that it was a two-seater, this "booth." She turned to Badou, blinking and bewildered.
