The Angel and the Eyepatch [COMPLETE]
Character(s): Nill, Badou, NPCs. Possibly Haine later on.
Content: After communicating with Badou, Nill sets up a meeting with the redhead at Café Ersesat where they will wait until Haine shows up.
Setting: Muspelheim's buzzing Café Ersesat.
Time: Mid-afternoon, Sunday.
Warnings: None.
Within the warm brown and green colors of the quickly-moving café, Nill was seated at a cushioned chair by a wide window. It was clear and sunny outside, not to mention a little hot. She would remove her jersey were it not for the necessity to hide them. Thankfully, her icy fruit juice cooled her to some extent.
Peter had stayed with her for no more than half an hour until he received a "call" on his mobile-journal. He was a working man after all. Nill distressfully pouted when he got up to leave, but he promised he'd return by 6:30 PM that evening. He asked a waitress to look over the little girl while he was away. As if accepting an order from the manager himself, she obliged and positioned herself nearby. Grabbing his coat and taking his brieface, Peter smiled warmly at the silent Nill. "I'll be back. Stay here and enjoy Café Ersesat!" he said as he stepped out the open doors.
The waitress approached Nill as Peter left. "Nill, right? You're very cute. I wouldn't be able to restrain myself from helping you either! Is there anything else you'd like from the menu?"
Holding up her hands, Nill shook her head shyly and pointed to her food. She still had half a sandwich and her juice wasn't finished either. The waitress, Clarissa as her name tag indicated, laughed embarassedly. "Oh! Sorry, well, I'll leave you to your lunch. Enjoy!" She stepped away and attended other customers in the same aisle.
Now, the (secretly) winged teen scrutinized the scenery out the window, carefully watching out for a certain red-haired fellow. Badou-san...

The redhead nodded and sat down with a slightly forced grin; the withdrawal wasn't exactly something he liked dealing with, even if it happened fairly often.
Nill's voice was a tad higher than he'd expected; he'd never heard her speak before. Badou vaguely recalled Haine mentioning something about her not being able to talk... or something. Maybe... "Bishop managed to do something about your voice?" he asked, eyebrow raised.

Nill smiled thoughtfully. She shook her head in negation. "..when...when I came here, I was able to speak." She held her palms out, shrugging. Seating properly, Nill neatly lay her hands on her lap, slightly tense. This will be her first real conversation. She didn't say much when Peter was with her earlier, but with Badou it's different. After all, she knew the man and he was from her world.
The fifteen-year old was close to speaking when Clarissa popped from behind the corner with a tall, icy class on the burnt sienna-colored serving stray. Skidding to the table, the Ersesat waitress gasped in wonder. She wasn't expecting a relatively good-looking redhead with an eyepatch. Oh, and those cute freckles. She kept her eyes locked on Badou, a "lovestruck" grin on her face as she set his lavender-tinted drink down.
She was leaning, slightly over Nill, her medium-length braids of gold sweeping forward. "Heeello there, sir~ You must be Badou. Nill's told me about you." She chuckled. "You're obviously not from around here. How do you like Paixao? It's a bit sunny today--are you sure you don't want me to take your coat? You look flushed. My name's Cla--oh snap. Duty calls. Sorry! Anyway, enjoy your 'Brain Crusher'!" Giddy, she skipped away, resuming her prior position at the other side of the café now that Nill was with another adult.
Nill had an awkward smile on her face as she watched her temporary guarding flee. "Uh..um...please, your drink!"
