A dream? Probably not. [Complete]
Character(s): Lulu and anyone else who feels like joining in. Otherwise, just Lulu. Actually, nevermind. My brain is DEAD.
Content: Lulu appears at Muspelheim Gate. Watch herlack of reaction!
Setting: Muspelheim Gate.
Time: Late Saturday evening.
Warnings: None, I guess.
Lulu blinked. And then, for good measure, she blinked again.
Well. This was certainly unexpected. She slowly looked around, taking in the unfamiliar sights before her. She briefly wondered if practicing that Waterga spell had worn her out more than she'd initially thought; she wasn't as practiced with that spell as she was with some of her others. Wakka had come upon her, almost getting doused with magically conjured water, before asking her how long she'd been practicing in the sun.
Hours, she'd thought sardonically, before dismissing his protests and telling him she'd take a break in a minute.
That break came sooner than she'd thought it would.
"I wonder..." She'd heard stories, occasionally, of mages overstepping their bounds and hallucinating and getting injured by fiends as they traipsed about in the imaginary worlds in their minds. They were only stories, though, so she hadn't put much thought into their validity, especially since they were most likely stories to warn young mages of being overly enthusiastic in their practices, lest they exhaust their magical energy and remain knocked out for several days. But now the notion was slightly plausible.
Was she hallucinating?
She resorted to the age-old method of testing for reality - she pinched herself discreetly, which was rather easy because she could hide the motion in her large sleeves - and it hurt.
Hm, she mused. So it's not a dream.
She looked around again and caught sight of what looked to be an information booth. She stepped forward.
Well, as long as I'm here, I might as well try to figure out just what exactly is going on here.
