He has probably bumped into something like a sign already. Just won't admit it. [Active]
Character(s): The Priest, L
Content: Begins his search for his little angel! By wandering around aimlessly... And runs into L. u_u
Setting: N3 area near Muspelheim
Time: Saturday evening
Warnings: PG? Dunno. :x
This was why he rarely left the church alone- or go outside in general. He got lost far too easily.
The man had managed to make his way further into the strange place. Following the sound of other's footsteps and voices to make sure he was going down the street and not towards a brick wall. Actually, without his glasses, he blended in quite well with the other blond-haired and blue-eyed civilians. But he got a few long stares on account of his robes and the way he traced his path with a cane as he went. Though he could see none of the looks; he felt eyes turning towards him every now and then.
The first objective to this mindless wandering was to find Nill. Haine and Badou could take care of themselves perfectly fine. The girl, however, was supposed to be under his care. He had no doubt in his mind that Haine would shoot him if anything had happened to her (he just wasn't sure if the younger man would choose to aim for a vital area or not...). By now the priest had even considered taking the firearm and shooting himself if he found that something had happened to her in his absence.
Or were they even here? In this.. Paixao?
That thought caused the priest to outwardly frown. He really wasn't used to not knowing things as simple as that. He knew the Underground and it's people very well. Even had the layout of his humble church committed to memory. But here he was completely helpless. It was a horrible feeling.

"...?"
The priest paused for a moment, turning his head towards the sounds as the person shuffled along. Now why would someone be sitting on the road like that? And from the disgruntled comments it seems the stranger had sat right back down again. How.. odd. Everything in this place seemed so organized and alike until now.
Curious, he took a few steps towards L and reached his cane out, tapping the man's foot lightly. It seemed that he was, indeed, on the ground again..
"Perhaps," the priest gave him a small smile, his eyes unfocused, "standing would make you less of a hazard?"

On the other hand, sitting right in the middle of the road still was fairly awkward. At least it seemed that the other pedestrians had begun to walk around them without question now.
You're not from here either, are you?
The priest's smile widened slightly at the hint that he wasn't alone in this away-from-home business. First Cossette, now this young man. Maybe it wasn't just some mere consequence that he had happened upon this place.. It was occurring to various others as well.
"No, I am not... How did you guess?" The blond asked, seemingly watching the ground by L’s feet with an inquisitive expression. Both his hands now resting on his cane for some poise as he stood. Practically the physical opposite to the detective hunched over on the ground.

Suddenly, he was glad that he had bumped into a relatively knowledgeable person. Or at least one that had common sense and wit. It was a nice change from what he usually put up with around the church. Huh, and they didn’t even introduce themselves yet. Of course it was understandable that in a situation such as this one you should be careful of whom to trust.
"Hm?" The question brought him out of his thoughts. "Where am I going?... Ah, well, I'm searching, rather.” The priest smiled again. “For some of my close acquaintances. I'm fairly certain that they are here also."
“But you must be looking for friends from your own world as well, right?” The question sounded a little inane as he said it. If he were looking for others why would he be just sitting in the middle of a road?
[I'm away from a computer for two nights starting.. uh, now. :x You'll find a reply asap when I return on Monday. Sorry! ]

He found it difficult to register the other’s feelings through his almost-flat tone. Relying solely on his ears for longer than he could remember, he tended to be good at this sort of thing. But the other didn't sound either pleased or disappointed that he had none he could call a friend-
Wait a second.
"Excuse me.. 'still alive'? Any reason why they wouldn't be?" The priest frowned slightly, ignoring the last question for the moment (Mostly because he wasn't completely sure how to answer it himself.).

There was a chance that this person could just be leading him somewhere else with this. Raising the dead was impracticable, obviously.
Then again, he had just been pulled into a completely different world- universe, even. But was he really ready to believe something as farfetched as the person sitting in front of him to be dead? However.. that could possibly explain his odd behavior. But that could also be something totally natural as well. This whole matter was getting tiring fast...
Hearing L shuffle around on the dirt ground and the woman, the priest let out a quiet sigh of exasperation. He really wanted to continue on. Despite how intriguing he was he still wanted to find Nill and the others. But wasn’t sure if this person would be so cooperative as to be his eyes for him and come along. He seemed quite content with where he was.
"Hm. Maybe we should move on and out of the way to continue this conversation? I still have a few questions I’d like to ask you..."

He listened as L rose and finally meandered over. Pleased that he was being a little agreeable.
"Well, there is this.. thing." The priest pulled out the small, electronic journal from his coat pocket and held it forward. It had been handed to him as soon as he entered Paixao. The people there had told him it was a "journal" and that he should keep it. But the journals he knew of were usually notebooks with lined paper. Nothing like this object. "Have you seen something like it before?"
