When it all hits the fan [CLOSED]
Characters: Repliku and Xenos, Demyx and (briefly) Marluxia, anyone else who happens to wander in?
Content: The twins enter the city and decide it's time to explore. However, they run into some... interesting company.
Setting: Niflheim to begin with... [G10]
Time: Sunday morning, around noon. Well, I guess it's not morning then. >_>
Warning: Foul language at the very LEAST. XD
Repliku hated it. It reminded him of Vexen.
"The hell's up with this..." Repliku frowned. Vexen's journal seemed operational, but the moment they stepped outside of the lab, their own journals spazzed and died, refusing to even display anything on the screen in his case. Vexen's seemed to be unable to call up a map, which was really kind of useless because you had to be a fucking dumbass and blind as hell not to be able to see the domes in the distance.
"So this is... Paixao," Repliku said, still standing before the gate. There was the slightest unwillingness to go in - he had the feeling that Vexen might have been waiting on the other side of the icy gate. Paranoid? Maybe a little. Either way, it's not like they had any choice but to go forward, right?

He stepped up to the gate and reached out to touch it. It looked more like some manner of crystal or other to him. Snow quartz?
"How does it open, do you think?"
no subject
At Xenos's touch, there was a creaking noise as the gate responded, slowly opening to reveal the city beyond. It's initial look surprised Riku - the trees and plants he could see were utterly fake, designed out of strange crystals and metals. The sky, too - it was beautifully decorated and looked like it was moving somewhat, but it was not the same azure sky that overlooked the domes.
What the hell?
"Hey, what's up with this place?" Repliku frowned, cautiously stepping through the gate. He was instantly greeted (more like assaulted) by the gatekeeper, a stout woman with vivid blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Welcome to Paixao!" She greeted him, one of those journal contraptions in her hand. The moment she saw that both travelers already had them (and one extra), she immediately cast him a suspicious look. "... I see you already own one of these journals. What were you doing outside the domes?"
"Lady, we're from outside the domes," Repliku rolled his eyes. Wasn't it obvious? Apparently not, as she seemed rather suspicious still.
"Well, many people are, but they don't come with one of these. Where did you get them?" She pressed. Repliku was astounded. Did it really matter?
"Uh..." He turned to his brother, as if asking for help to drive the nosy woman away.
no subject
He held out Vexen's journal to the gatekeeper.
"I mean - that is - if we're not allowed to carry his journal about in case of subterfuge or fraud and other such nonsense I don't mind leaving it in your capable hands?"
He beamed, and looked adorable.
no subject
"Oh, alright, you two best be on your way then," She left them, and Repliku gave a rewarding grin to his brother. Damnit, he was brilliant.
"You're so awesome," The stupid grin remained, but faded as he took another look at Paixao. Well, the city seemed strange, but so were they... He could see that the woman wasn't the only blond one here. The rest of the citizens he could see too; there were one or two he could see that weren't like that. They must have been foreigners like themselves.
But what bothered him most was their auras. They were all the same, melding together. The few foreigners had the only differing ones. It should have comforted him, but it was still weird.
A quick glance to his journal, and Repliku saw it was working properly.
"Hey, Xenos, is your journal working?"
no subject
His smile faded a bit though when he realised how very 'outsider' he and Repliku seemed to be.
Well...at least it wasn't so dark and cold here?
He glanced down at his journal and jumped a bit. The screen was lit up cheerily. "Oh--it seems to be?" Just to be sure everything was in working order, he began to fiddle with it madly. Scroll up, scroll down, search, shutdown, restart, check for upgrades in software, look over directory contents. He accomplished all this very speedily, and stopped short when he realised he really shouldn't be accomplishing it that speedily.
"...Ahh ha ha ha..."
no subject
... But he had to admit some of those things looked pretty awesome~
"No, really, why are we here?"
no subject
It hadn't just been one shop, no. This was a week of built up of little "trips" that had ended being less than a trip to the amusement park.
"Besides. It's a new area, isn't it? More to explore. There might be more... stores that we've yet to go in."
no subject
Speaking of, he needed a freaking pen...
Looking up from his journal, Repliku froze as the two cloaked figures before him came to his line of vision. Those cloaks... that strange dark aura... they were different, yes (was one of them emitting a pink aura?), but at the same time.
"Xenos," Repliku whispered urgently, tapping his brother's arm as he nervously summoned his weapon as quietly as possible (yeah, the sparkles and shine surely wouldn't give them away, nope). "Those guys over there." He didn't have to explain, Xenos would be able to see the danger too.
The question was, what were they gonna do about it? Repliku's body tensed, the obvious choice for him being "beat the shit out of them before they go back to report to Vexen."
no subject
He saw two cloaked men.
Didn't Vexen wear the same--oh, NO. Reconaissance. Kidnapping. They'd be hauled back to the lab and heaven only knew what Vexen would do when...
He closed his journal and summoned his weapons.
"We wait for them to attack, if they attack at all," he whispered. "I don't want to fight if we needn't fight, but if we must, I'll protect you. I promise. We are NOT going back to that place. Ever."
no subject
... And suddenly blinked when he saw two peculiar looking figures (Peculiar looking like they weren't from the Aryan race or whatever~) with their weapons held out in their direction.
Yes, Demyx was moronic enough to blatantly point them out.
"You know, they kinda look like the Sup and whiny kid with the slit wrists."
no subject
Both familiar to him. One of them... the Seeker of Darkness.
The Nobody offered no more than an "Oh shit," before vanishing.
This did not bode well. At all. How had Ansem come back? And how had he seperated from his host?
Either way, this was not good for him. Marluxia didn't need to pretend he didn't know the power Ansem had.
For now, all he needed to do was avoid him. His thoughts were not even on his companion.
no subject
"GODDAMNIT!" With that fierce shout, Repliku leapt forward at the remaining one, hellbent on making sure that he didn't escape too. The clone may have still been a bit shaky, but he was swift, leaping at the remaining black coated man with the intent of pinning him to the ground. And he did, colliding with the Organization member and ramming the blunt side of his sword against the man's throat.
"Where did he go?!" Repliku hissed, Xenos's words about wanting to avoid a fight completely forgotten.
no subject
He hurried over and tried to ease the sword away from Demyx's jugular, but at the same time he made sure to put himself squarely in the way of any fast exit Demyx might possibly make.
"It's - we don't know if they're with Vexen yet. But--" He turned to Demyx. "But if you are...I'm - I'm willing to make whatever sort of trade you wish in order to avoid your reporting our absence to him. I don't want this to turn into a brawl but there is. No. Possible. Way. That Repliku and I are going back there. I'm sorry. But that's simply how it is."
Why, why did this young man look familiar?
no subject
Aqua eyes blinked up at the silver haired kid.
"Whut?" By the time Demyx figured out he was talking about Marluxia the other person had trotted over and thankfully pulled the sword from his neck. However, the latter's explanation merely left him more confused, and in the end he couldn't help but just frown.
"... Can you rewind that and replay in slow mo for me?"
no subject
"You heard him, you little bastard, don't you fucking DARE tell Vexen we're here or I swear to all that's Holy, I will rip your fucking throat out," The Replica hissed, his famous mouth living up to it's reputation.
no subject
He sighed, and explained the situation to Demyx again. "Vexen believes we belong to him and he can do whatever he wishes because of that. He was extraordinarily unkind to the two of us, so we left. You...you're...associated with him, I assume" - he indicated the black coat - "so...I ask you not to tell him where we are, or attempt to make us return, sir. I'd rather not fight or er. See my brother get ridiculously violent."
He eyebrowed at Repliku.
"I'm not afraid to fight, I'd simply rather not unless I really must?"
He smiled at Demyx nervously.
"So...please don't try to make us return."
no subject
"And if by 'associated' you mean we just wear the same uniform, then yeah, yeah we're pretty associated," The blond laughed out and scratched the back of his head. "But other than that we're as different as me and, well..."
Demyx looked over at Repliku. There was nothing more to be said about that.
"Anyway, I don't blame ya. Who'd want to be within a hundred feet of Vexen anyway?"
no subject
At the same time, this guy could be honestly stupid. Then they wouldn't have problems.
"Exactly," Repliku grumbled at Demyx's last comment. "So don't say shit. You never saw us, alright?" The replica waved his sword once, as if to seal the deal. He wouldn't hesitate in being violent to shut this guy up, even if he did seem to be telling the truth. They just couldn't take that chance, really...
But Repliku didn't want to kill anybody. That was never his intention, so he was willing to let the blond go.
no subject
"Thank you. I - really hate being around Vexen and if you feel the same way I'm sure you won't tell him where we are..." He ducked a bit as Repliku waved his sword. "Cut it out," he said mildly, then turned back to Demyx. "I'm glad you aren't obligated to tell him."
He was VERY glad Repliku didn't feel obliged to get stabbity.
He offered his brother a hand up, and did likewise to Demyx. "Are you headed to the same place we are, or going somewhere else?"
no subject
... Or XII. Since Axel got booted out did that mean he was VIII now? Demyx made a disgruntled face at that. Though it disappeared when Xenos offered him a hand, taking it gratefully.
"Well, since my partner in crime decided to DITCH ME," He said those words with much emphasis, throwing his fist into the air and shaking it with undying hatred. "I have nothing else to do, pretty much."
Demyx raised his eyebrow.
"Where you heading anyway?"
no subject
But something still seemed up. What connection did they have? It couldn't be sheer coincidence they were wearing the same coats. Though they were pretty awesome looking coats, Repliku knew that it meant something. But they'd just have to trust the blond man, wouldn't they?
... Ugh.
"None of your business," The clone answered, tone still harsh. That guy didn't need to know where they were going and Repliku sure as well wasn't letting him tag along, no matter what Xenos might have thought. It was for their own safety!
no subject
...But then, he wasn't Repliku; he didn't know how his brother thought, so he couldn't really judge him. Everyone dealt with things in their own way, right? No two Hearts were the same. No two people were the same.
(He needed to stop getting these thoughts from nowhere. It was weird.)
"Away from Vexen?" was how he replied to Demyx. "I - I don't know if it's safe to talk about it. If he's able to find out somehow where we went then - ngh. I'd rather not think about that..."
no subject
"Well then, let's just say we didn't see or speak to each other." He spun back to face them, revealing a casual grin.
"I don't want my ass on the line either if he does manage to find you. It's only a fair trade, right?"
no subject
"C'mon, Xenos," He felt uneasy, staying in one place for so long. Sheer instinct told him to keep moving, and the replica almost childishly tugged at his brother's arm so that they could go. "We should get going in case the geezer catches up."
He wasn't even sure if Vexen knew they were gone, but considering how... "Important" they seemed, he would know sooner rather than later. Repliku gave a glance over his shoulder just to make sure.
Paranoid? Never.
